Would NEVER stay there again!!Posted Mar 15, 2014
Room was dirty, the place is huge and only two elevators that hold 11 people, beach was very very crowded and very very small, most nights would come back to room and have no bath towels, the food was not that great, very noisy…very disappointed in the entire vacation.

Very nice resort!Posted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms, modern. Staff friendly - bartenders, wait staff, cleaning staff, front desk staff. Good food selection.
Cons: Have some International brand alcohol available - for a 4-star, thought there may be something besides Canadian Mist whiskey (though made do...) :)
Location: Right on the main strip in Cancun-very busy traffic on the street all the time. You can take the bus anywhere along the strip for $1 USD or 9.50 pesos
I'll try to dismiss the fact that I chose to travel on Spring Break...as it certainly created some 'negatives' on this trip - but that was my choosing - can't change the behaviour of the 20-somethings that drink in the sun all day, every day...! The rooms were very nice, better then I expected - modern, very clean (our maid was incredible). Bathrooms always had lots of thick towels, double sink, toiletries were renewed every day, and more then we would ever need, at that. Three buffet restaurants, three a la carte plus an additional 18+ one; and the food is actually quite varied - everyone could find something they like to eat. Ate mostly at the buffets, as of course the a la carte is difficult to book unless you're there in line half an hour before they start to take bookings in the morning. However, the buffet restaurants also had 'themed' nights with their food choices, so it kept things varied. Pools were clean, one had a swim up bar that we of course avoided as that's where the majority of the drinking and 'getting sloppy' was happening, but there is another pool, my kids called it the 'quiet pool'. There is the usual competition for lounge chairs, being Spring Break, had to be on the beach by 9am to reserve a lounge with your towel. The beach is fairly short for the size of the hotel, and shallow - the water was very calm, warm, almost bath-like, and a lot of sea grass floating around (not the best beach I've been too....) and it is the main thru-way for boats.

I would recommend this resort to a friend but onlyPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: The best thing about our stay was the staff. My wife and I have traveled to Mexico at least a dozen times in the past 10 years and quite honestly have
Cons: You cannot improve on the hotel itself based on the fact that it was built over 30 years ago. As a customer in 2014 I expect Wi-Fi, room safe and unli
Location: Right next door to this resort are the pirate ships as well as the ferry to take you across to the island which is very convenient if you plan on doin
I will preface this review by saying this staff was excellent and did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. The resort is becoming dated and once you stayed at better resorts and go to a place like this the things you don't get for an all inclusive really stick out. The number of selections at the buffet for example. The fact that they limit your number of bottled waters in your room as well as beer and soda. The fact that it is called an all inclusive however room service is not included in that. If you want a safe to store your valuable safety, which I strongly recommend, here it costs you seven dollars a day where at many other resorts it is included. I may sound nitpicky but Wi-Fi here also cost you money where at other resorts it is just included. If you would like to have hot dogs or hamburgers for lunch outside plan on waiting a minimum of 30 minutes before you get your food. With all that said if you just want to go to Mexico to enjoy Rum, sun and relaxation this is not a bad place. But if your tastes desire a higher standard of vacationing I would recommend staying at the RIU palace Penninsula.

Alittle bit of everythingPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: The staff! One night the waiters taught us to salsa dance at dinner :) They were so friendly and so much fun.
Cons: The beds were SO hard and uncomfortable.
Not knowing that there were multiple Oasis resorts in Cancun, my college (senior) roommates and I assumed we were booked at the crazy "mile long" pool Oasis. Turns out, we weren't. The crazy hotel is the Cancun Oasis and we were at Palm Oasis. Thank goodness for this accidental booking! We went to Cancun Oasis for a day one day and it was.... trashy. Glad we got to see and experience it for a day, but one day was plenty! Oasis palm offers both a relaxing atmosphere and a fun and crazy atmosphere. You get a little bit of both but not too much crazy, which was perfect for us.

nice hotel good location to downtownPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Having options of going to Grand oasis & oasis palm next door.
Cons: Beach must be improved. water only 3ft deep is not good enough. Must have option for deeper portion that you can actually swim in.
Location: Nearby ferry gives you the option of going to the Isla Mujeures. Couple of pirate ships offer a unique experience in the open water. Sea-do rentals.
Stayed in the grand oasis (more family orientated) which also gives you access to the oasis palm next door (younger crowd). This gives you good options for either or. Hotel in general is well kept and very clean even during the spring break rush. Hotel elevators were very slow and were not working correctly. This does make a difference if your room is on a higher level. Room was average. You get what you pay for. Food variety & quality was ok. You get what you pay for. The beach has a nice view but the water is no more than 3 ft deep and barely any waves. Staff was generally quite nice. Lots of options for excursions at the hotel although you will pay more if you book at the resort. Other misc items include pirate ships near the port which gives you a unique experience on the open water. Sea-do rentals available as well.

Nice hotel, small beach but the water is calm.Posted Mar 7, 2014
Employees of resort very nice and helpful. Very clean even with a full house. Found the dinner reservation process ridiculous! Think they need to fix it soon! Beach area small but nicest, most calm water at any cancun beach.

Awesome stay!Posted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: AMAZING STAFF! Bring lots of $1 Bills to tip, not because the staff expects it, but because they deserve it!
Cons: Be aware of the reps selling in the lobby. I know and expect that at the flea markets and along the beaches, but was surprised in the lobby.
Location: We took the ferry to the Island-and rented a golf cart! SO worth the expense, good to the 'old' Mexico! LOVE IT!
This was our third time at this resort. Each time it has only gotten better! I highly recommend this resort. Everything is wonderful: food, staff, room--it has it all going for it!

Grand oasis palmPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Excellent food and variety. Shows. Beach. Great service.
Cons: Rooms need a little update.
Location: Great location, close to mercado 28 and Walmart if you need souvenirs or forgot anything (10 minutes by bus) bus stop right outside from hotel.
Great service, amazing employees. We loved the food at Las Palmas every day, thanks Gabriel, Angel, Ever, Francisco and Henry for making our vacation so special. The shows were great. Beach is perfect. Plenty of chairs. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated at the restaurant. Clean room, thanks Fabiana!. We are already planning to go back!! Thanks to everyone at Grand oasis Palm.
