“Okay hotel”

This hotel was average. If you are looking to save money then this is the place. However if you want to be in the heart of the action, then this hotel is not the one for you. The hotel is at the beginning of the hotel zone and to get the full experience of Cancun I advise to spend a little more money and get closer to the people, action, and main places of interest. If your pockets can't reach then stay here and take the busses (which are safe, cheap and surprisingly efficient). It was good because I got the all inclusive package.

“Overall I would recomend this Hotel to everyone.”

The Hotel was ok, I had only one night, and very early check out, the room was simple but well presented and the bathroom had all the amenities. Reception staff was very helpful and polite, unfortunately I couldn't use the hotel facilities as per my short stay.

“Good Choice for Budget Travelers”

The Holiday Inn Arenas Cancun is a pleasant, clean hotel that offers basic amenities for the budget conscious. Travelers shouldn't expect "tailor-made" service, or staff to go above and beyond the baseline of service (if you're hungry, just minutes back from an all-day excursion, and the snack bar just closed a minute ago, tough luck and no smile--you'll need to wait another hour before the buffet opens). Some physical wear and tear is apparent on the premises, as well as a leaking hose attaching the room toilet to the plumbing, and the air conditioning filters desperately need to be changed. On the plus side the beds are comfortable the view is nice, and the hotel is on the beach. I've stayed here twice on one-night stop-overs and would do the same for another short stay.

“Quite disappointed”

The beach was not the beatiful place I was expecting from a hotel at Cancun. It was too narrow, the sand was too coarse, it was too dirty.

“Only buffet restaurant”

When I booked the motel the overview of the motel stated that it had a restuarant as well as the buffet. However when we went to make reservations we were told they no longer had the resaurant forcing us to go out for dinner. We did not want to eat the same thing two times a day. Kind of disappointing.

“Terrible Experience Stolen sandals from room”

I did not appreciate the way the hotel employees handled my situation, they did not seem to care that my sandals were stolen from my room and they did not even apologize or try to replace them. A pair of used sandals, how low. Regardless over all I was not satisfied with the room or the smell of the water in the shower or the sink. They would not even change our rooms after complaining about all things that were wrong, they just kept telling us that they were booked even though we kept seeing people check out everyday! Will not recommend this to anyone!

“Very unimpressed”

The Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas would qualify as one of the worst hotels we've stayed in considering the price. The room was extremely small and uncomfortable. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were ridiculously overpriced. Further, there was no a la carte option. We had to pay for an "all you can eat" buffet to get anything to eat at all. The setup of the bar service was also very inefficient. We had to keep buying coupons at the front desk to get drinks at the bar. The hotel is also inconveniently located at one end of the hotel strip. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.
