Good hotel in CentroPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Good inexpensive one- night stay on way to another city. It has a good small pool, and meals served both outdoors and inside. Inner rooms were quiet.
Cons: It was all good, even the toiletries which included a toothbrush and toothpaste.
Location: I don't know, since I only wanted an overnight stop.
Taxi had no trouble finding it. Night receptionist spoke good English and brought my luggage to the room for me. Dinner was still available until 10 p.m. Breakfast good too, but Mexican, of course.

Hidden hotel in the middle of CancunPosted Feb 26, 2014
Nice, hidden hotel. The area is a little far from the cool spots of Cancun but the price and free parking made this an ideal place for a base to roam the Cancun area with our rental car. The rooms were always clean and the staff was helpful. Wifi did not work all the time and the shower was cold water only. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to people.

Budget FriendlyPosted Feb 17, 2014
This is the hotel that was booked when I selected Expedia's 3-star "hidden hotel." Even though I did want to stay downtown I was initially concerned because it's not close to anything - restaurants, shops, transportation, etc. I decided to treat it as an adventure and walk as much as possible - 10 minutes to catch the bus, 20 minutes to the Isla Mujeres ferry, and so on. There are also taxis on hand if you don't feel like walking. There is a simple restaurant on-site with good, inexpensive food. The wifi is decent, although it did cut in and out occasionally. I shower at night so didn't experience the cold showers others have mentioned. The staff spoke enough English that communication wasn't an issue. I, a solo woman, never felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood. But I will admit I didn't walk after dark. I'm adventurous, not stupid. I can recommend this hotel for those who are on a budget, adventurous, or don't mind not being in the middle of everything

Great Little Hotel in Downtown CancunPosted Jan 23, 2014
Pros: Comfortable Room, good little pool, nice staff free Wifi
Cons: Sometimes Wifi was a bit iffy (difficult to connect to)
Location: Near R1 Route near large supermarket and shopping mall at Puerto Juarez end of Cancun Downtown

Extremely difficult to find it in Cancun DowntownPosted Jan 17, 2014
Cons: 1) Accurate address, longitude and latitude. Don't spend 2 hours to find it 2) No hair dryer in the whole hotel 3) Broken window in bath room
Location: Far from Hotel Zone and the beach, nothing interesting near by.
We spent 2 hours on the road to find this hotel. 1) The address appears in Google map is not accurate, we follow the map, but failed to find it. I suggested Expedia list the accurate longitude and latitude. 2) We also use iPad/Android navigation app called Navigon to search for the hotel name, as well as address, but nothing found. In summary, we drove in Cancun Downtown, spent 2 hours, asked 5 local people (including 3 staff from other hotels, who can speak English), and eventually we found it in the middle night.

A good and affordable option for familiesPosted Jan 16, 2014
Pros: -Close to city center and harborside -Clean -Friendly and helpful staff -We got upgraded to a bigger room for free!
Cons: -Poor insulation
Location: Unfortunately, it rained a lot druing our stay so we haven't been to make the most of our stay!
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the harborside and San Miguel's city center. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They answered absolutely every request we had and provided us with plenty of useful information about things to do on the island. The hotel was full when we checked in and we got upgraded to a much bigger room for free! The suite had a very fonctional kitchen and a fridge (useful to store your drinks!). Free drinking water was provided. The bathroom was big and very clean. On the down side, I must say that the insulation is not great and we could hear our neighbords arguing everyday :-) Overall, it is a very good place to stay in Cozumel

Great Hotel in the center of CancunPosted Jan 10, 2014
Pros: Extremely friendly staff and the central location in Cancun.
Cons: Rooms need a little updating.
Location: In central Cancun with local culture right out your door.
This by no means is a 5 start hotel. However if you are happy with a pool, clean rooms, and wonderful service from the staff then I would definetely recommend it. We did have issues with the taxi drivers knowing where the hotel was but the hotel is close to the bus station and you can go just about anywhere from the bus station. There is a small mall within walking distance and plenty of small restaurants. The staff at the restaurant at the Hotel went above and beyond with service. If you want to experience the local culture this is a great Hotel. If you are more interested in the beach and tourism then a hotel on the Cancun Beach would be better for you.

A very low standard hotel in CancunPosted Jan 8, 2014
This hotel is situated in the middle of filthy and dirty neighborhood. When I had stepped out of the lobby, I saw there was bunch of dog poop all over the place and the hotel management doesn't seem to bother cleaning or washing those stuffs. Also what kind of people live in that neighborhood who don't bother to clean up after their pets. Also the entire hotel and rooms are very old and low quality.

Rough around the edgesPosted Jan 7, 2014
Cons: Cleanliness esp. around pool.
Location: Mercado 28
We chose to stay here to get out the tourist area, and it certainly was. We had a great wander through real Cancun. We felt safe with our family.
