Wonderful service and relaxed atmosphere

The hotel location at the south end if the island is perfect for those seeking a refuge from the hustle and bustle of many typical resorts. This place offers top-notch service and friendly staff who are quick to smile and willing to accommodate. Jonathan, Jesus, Juan Carlos, and Carlos are a few of the guys working in the restaurant/pool areas who are quite eager to please. And the housekeepers, like Lady (lah-dee) keep the rooms spotless. The view from our 3rd floor room was spectacular and dining in the restaurant offered similarly stunning views of the sea. We purchased a meals-included package for 6 nights and could not have been more pleased with our (2nd) visit to the facility. And we certainly intend to return when possible.

A real diamond in the rough!

What an amazing little find! Feel so blessed to have found this lovely quaint place with a movie star feel from the 70s on the last 2 days of our holiday, as we took a trip to the island mujeres. They picked us up in their private boat which was so cool. Service wonderful. Food amazing. Truly wonderful. Rooms are in need of a bit of modernizing, but I gather that will happen in a couple of months when zoetry take over. Hope they don't spoil the sacred ambience of the place !

Great resort

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Cons: Needs some updating.
This was our 3rd time at Villa Rolandi and it is always a treat. Some areas are showing signs of age and wear and tear such as the hot tub on the patios, but overall a beautiful place. Rooms ( junior suite) are very comfortable, and beautiful. Bed is very comfortable. Shower is double sided and includes a steam shower. Breakfast in our room on the deck every morning is a treat. The staff is mostly very attentive, friendly and helpful. Pool area is beautiful and inviting. Nice but small beach area. Attention to detail is obvious at Rolandis. When we want to feel pampered this is where we go. Restaurant is excellent with great views and choices. We went in June and we basically had the place to ourselves. Rolandis had more if a European feel to it than Mexican. I would recommend this resort to others. You won't be disappointed.

5th visit and we love the Rolandi

Pros: Very Relaxing, very good service--(pool, restaurant, front desk, bar, room service and maid service.
Cons: Not much--or we would not have stayed here during our last 3 visits to Isla Mujeres.
Location: Golf cart or taxi is necessary--very quiet area and 2-3 miles out of town
This hotel is for people who love a small hotel with very good to GREAT food, service and a peaceful environment. We always ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor room because the views are wonderful. The first floor is for those who like a direct shot to the pools with partial ocean views. There are 2 pools and a very large Jacuzzi-looks like another pool. All were very up to date and well kept. We paid for a suite-- extra space and views were worth it. The tile shower is second to none--steam with glass doors and 4 heads which reach every inch of your body. TV in the room has limited channels and we used it mostly for background music-majority of channels in Spanish. We went to the COZY bar every night-bartender made very good drinks and has a nice personality-nice small bar that opens around 5:30PM. The restaurant food was fantastic. A little pricy but Fantastic. Service by Jesus and staff was excellent. The menu has something for everybody (Starts around $20 US dollars up to $50) and we did it all--- Rack of Lamb to nightly specials (around $20-28 dollars)-everything was very good. We had a Caesar Salad on this first night and it was so good we ordered it every night ( we ate at the restaurant 4X out of our 8 night stay). The Taxi to town cost 78 pesos but we gave them 100 pesos including tip (about $7.80 Us). Gold carts are available at the hotel for around $55 for 4 hours to $75 for a day-you may want to check rates in town-take a GOLF CART tour of the island-great!

Rent a golf cart

Posted May 25, 2014
Rent a golf cart - it's the only way to see the island. (60-75 usd per day).eat downtown, food is better and cheaper but drinks are great at the hotel. If you stay at this hotel take the all inclusive yacht to and from the island.

return to relaxation

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Quiet, serene, super nice staff
Cons: Gym.....the equipment really needs to be replaced and upgraded or turn that space into more spa area
Location: Mid island, easy access to walk or drive your golf cart anywhere, beaches, ruins, into town. all so close.
It was our second time at Villa Rolandi, a super nice, super quite gem on Isla Mujeres. Great staff, nice amenities, pool and beach. Recommend you book your stay there threw their web site as the transfers need to the island are hassle unless you use the hotel's yacht and pickup service, which is timely and wonderful. The restaurant is also very good with tremendous views and a relaxed atmosphere. Only thing they need to up is upgrade/maintain their gym equipment as it is dated and almost unusable. Highly recommend this hotel as a quiet. romantic getaway location.

Amazing Hotel!

The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking! The staff was friendly and the facilities are very well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet laid back beach oasis. Plus the food is AMAZING! I also recommend renting a golf cart from the hotel and cruising around the island...this was our favorite part of our stay on Isla Mujeres! You will love this hotel!

Gorgeous

I went for my 25th birthday me n my husband..This hotel is a hr away from the airport n then u have to take a ferry to isles mujeres where the hotel is located..The ferry ride is 20 min to get to isles mujeres. The taxi charge want they won't cause everyone is trying to make money down there..u really don't have to have the airport bus to take u to ur destination cause they will charge u $75 or more.n if u want them to pick u up for departure all together ur looking at $117 ur best bet is to take the taxi to the ferry.when u get off the ferry n land to isles mujeres the cab ride is 5min.now I did book this hotel for all inclusive the receptionist says that this hotel is not all inclusive the only thing that was free was our breakfast that's it.The rooms are gorgeous like seriously I didn't want to leave.to get around I suggest u rent a golf cart or a mod pad is the best way to get around instead of paying for the taxi every time u want to move around. Trust me u won't get lost.I was Down there for 4 days and I knew where I was going. We drove downtown everyday and went sightseeing.u basically will be spending money on taxis the ferry to get back from other islands , dinners and activities. If u go to the main island which where the airport is located check out there mall n coco bongo.if u planning on getting into the sea water be aware u might get swimmer itch.google it n ur find out what it is..I got it n we''ve been itching for a week.but I loved my vacation I will visit ag
