The hotel is a bit old. The room wasn't clean. They didn't change my bed sheet for the whole week.

The hotel was fair to the price paid. The breakfast was just for 2 people, although the reservation was for 3! The location is not at the hotel zone, but there is a bus stop nearby that can take you everywhere.

Pros: see above.
Cons: As mentioned by others, towel service could be improved.
Location: bus service makes almost everywhere (including beach) easily accessible. A number of different restaurants are nearby.
Pleasant, helpful staff. Great location. R-1, R-2 bus routes (beach, etc.) within blocks of hotel, as is main bus station (ADO)-(took trip to Tulum -Mayan Ruins from there-good experience).

A couple of nights spent at Xbalamque were great value, it's a little oasis in a busy part of downtown Cancun. Any easy walk to local squares with great food, banks and the bus station.

It was a nice 3-day stay to relax without much ado for not too much. the area is OK. Walk around to find decent food. the hotel staff is friendly, as it is everywhere else.. recommend.

The cleaning and restaurant staff were attentive and nice, the front counter staff need more guidance. There where services and events in the hotel that we weren't aware of. The location was very centralized. The room was clean, but not out of the ordinary.

We booked 3 nights on Expedia, turned up at 11pm after a long journey from London and were told that there was no room for us, despite them having a print out of our reservation. After a while they then said that they had a room but it was too small for the 3 of us...so the manager showed us to a room in a hotel across the road which was he said was the same price. It was horrible and not what we had paid for so I insisted he showed us the 'small' room in the original hotel or we would leave and not pay. He said 'fine, leave if you want'. I was in shock, we were 3 young women with backpacks and it was 11pm! After protesting some more, they finally showed us the room which was huge and easily fitted 3 people. I'm not sure what they were hoping to gain, maybe they thought that by putting us in the room across the road, which was clearer much cheaper, they would gain a bit of money but I don't know. The rest of the stay was fine and I would not have felt the need to complain had the manager not been so rude on that first evening. I was totally unimpressed with the way it was handled and really wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.
