Nice hotel right on the beachPosted Apr 17, 2014
We've got a very good deal in this hotel from Expedia, and we'd recommend to make reservations there this way, because it looks like this Hyatt works closely with Expedia, and Expedia agent has a working desk in the hotel. Hotel located right on the beach, has it's own beach equipment, nice pool adjusted to the beach. Night life and restaurants are in 7 minutes walk, but place is very quiet and safe. It's not a food inclusive hotel, but it can be an advantage, because it can keep prices for this respectable hotel very low (all inclusive options in Cancun are very, very expensive). Services and facilities are very good. Only for Wi Fi you should pay not a little price. Average - it's very nice hotel, we'd recommend.

Great location - bad neighboring environmentPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Great pool area and inhouse food. Closest location out of Zona Hoteliera to Cancun downtown. Staff is friendly. Great views from one of three sides
Cons: Chip and uncomfortable beach chairs should be replaced. Parasols at the pool must be wind protected - we had one blown of its mount and hit us
Location: good for those who like clubbing and nightlife - 4-5 nightclubs in the area. Bad news for families - loud music playing all weekends at nighttime
You get great ocean view only from one side of three available - make sure you get the right one on spot. It took us one day to replace the original room. You can not ensure that at the booking time. With great views you will however get complimentary club music from nearby openairs keeping your family awake at weekends. Music plays till 2-3am. Inhouse food is great. Were surprised with chip and uncomfortable beach chairs (has no association with Hyatt standards). Pool area is perfect. However the area is windy, sometimes extremely windy - parasols start flying instantly - one has hit our kid once came off its mount. Management immediately removed all tents. Service is great. Staff - friendly. Scary inner space for those who have height fobia and get high floors.

So so hotel. Beautiful beachPosted Apr 14, 2014
You just can't make old, new! Simply put. Beds are like sleeping on cots. Internet was not inclusive. Only a few choices of restaurants in the hotel There were signs posted behind the front desk from the government in Spanish. The hotel staff was not forthcoming with an explanation as to the meaning of these signs. They were clearly an announcement about some violation. The gift shop had these signs posted also.

Nice hotel. Close to everything.Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Earlier check in. Microwave and frig in rooms.
Location: Near clubs, buses to Centro and souvenir shopping.
A nice hotel at a good price. Very close to transportation. Many dining spots and shopping are nearby. Centro is a short bus ride away. The sand on the beach is filled with broken pieces of shells that make walking difficult on most of it. The food and drink is pricey, as you would expect, but they don't mind outside food or drink as long as you don,t eat or drink it in common areas. The only frig in the rooms are cash hungry mini-bars with the usual overpriced items. A good place for the location and price.

Great hotel with a gorgeous beach right outside.Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The beach, the pools and the staff and the location in Cancun worked well for us.
Cons: It would have been nice to be able to adjust the air conditioning in the room and the drains ran slowly. Loud music went on until late at night.
Location: Cancun has lots to do and it was easy to get to a bus to go wherever you wanted. We visited Chichen Itza, Isla de Mujeres, shops and restaurants.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency Cancun. The beach was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The pool was very nice, well maintained and with plenty of deck chairs and towels. The staff was knowledgeable and polite and most were fluent in English. All the on site restaurants were good and we appreciated the 20% discount. Our daughter utilized the gym several times and liked it. Our room was well cared for by the housekeeping staff and ready for us when we returned each afternoon.

Not Worth ItPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Location was good
Location: Main Attractions
The room was small but clean. It overlooked the ocean view which was nice. However the WiFi service in the room which I paid for was absolutely terrible. It never worked. I complained to the hotel staff twice but it was never fixed. For those who don't care about WiFi it is ok, but for people that want WiFi, this hotel is not for you.

Good location. Loud at night because of windPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Location and beach.
Cons: Room updating. Windows / sliding glass doors need updating due to the windy conditions and noise caused by the wind.
Location: You are a 5 minute walk to the clubs and good restaurants. You could walk the beach to get to the action in 5 minutes or 7 min on the sidewalk.
Good location near strip and downtown. Not real high end or low end. Nice staff. Ocean view room was extremely loud because of wind. Glass door and windows whistle all night due to the wind. Activity coordinators do a good job at the pool and beach. Breakfast buffet was way over priced at $32 per. Beach is very nice with best water on the strip. Lots of slamming doors and noises at all times of day. If you're looking for the "wait on me", total resort experience this probably isn't the place but if you're looking to just relax and hang around water this is a great hotel. Needs some room updating but again if you are just looking for decent hotel with a great location, good food - somewhat overpriced - but good, this is a great option for the price.

Would Love to do it againPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Location, pools, price
Cons: Update facilities
Location: We used the bus service which was only $1 each way. We went to Columbus Romantic dinner Cruise, the island of Mueheres (sp) easy to get places
Location was excellent!!! Loved being right on the beach! "Outdoor beds" with the ocean breeze were awesome. Accommodations were more than adequate but I felt that facilities had not been updated for at least a decade. Hyatte management was ending this month so that may have had something to do with it. There were sevral activity directors that provided a daily list of activities that you could choose to join -- water aerobics, ping pong, pool volleyball, beach volleyball ... crafts -- it was fun. Staff were friendly and accommodating but didn't all know English. All food was delicious and we could "buy" credits at the front desk that doubled our money which made the prices reasonable. The Consier was inferior in terms of her knowledge, her willingness to find information ... We got a lot for the money we spent for airfare and accommodations -- good value

Family VacationPosted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Food, cleanliness, the beauty of the grounds.
Cons: Hot water available at all times.
Location: Enjoyed snorkeling and Chichen Itza! Expedia staff were very helpful.
The staff, food, and views were beautiful. Everything was extremely clean. We were amazed that there wasn't any sand anywhere! We truly enjoyed ourselves. Our only issue - no hot water one morning. This is our second stay at this hotel. When we were hear 4 years ago, the same thing happened. It reminded us that we "aren't in Kansas anymore." Water was back by the time we returned from our day's activities.
