Beautiful but rooms are too outdatedPosted Dec 1, 2013
Our experience in Iberostar was great! Aside from the room the hotel grounds are beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful, rooms have spectacular views, restaurants are nice and tasty, spa and pool are amazing, great cocktails and bartenders but, the room was very outdated I was extremely disappointed with our room it definitely needs some remodeling and air conditioning as well. Overall our stay was great

Best Vacation EverPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Food, room, service, and the pools
Location: stayed in the resort the whole time
Awesome experience. So the sushi wasn't the top of the line kind as some have mentioned... but so what? Other than that, the resort is perfect for the families. The service was great, seafood was fresh and the buffet had varieties. The kids pool and the adults pool were clean and beautifully designed. My 2 year old daughter and wife loved the place as well. I would definitely go back!!

Iberostar Cancun VacationPosted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: This hotel is not densely packed zone. Rooms are clean and don't smell moldy. Beds are soft, pillows are filled with feathers = confortable.
Location: Golf accross the street.
Food variety is really good. You can eat any diet style you like. There are nightly shows,

Overall great experiencePosted Nov 3, 2013
This was a family/friends get away with 5 couples. We all commented about staff friendliness, quality of food, room cleanliness, views from room and by the pools. The nightly shows were incredible! This was our first trip to Iberostar and we would definitely stay at another Iberostar.

Iberostar vs Riu HotelPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Service, service, service
Cons: Food quality, restaurant's reservation system.
Location: Overall, any place with nice beaches: other Mexico destinations as well as Jamaica, Aruba, Bora Bora ect....
It is the first time we stay at Iberostar, usually we are staying with Riu but a friend recommmend Iberostar Cancun. The hotel staff and service are excellent, especially Harold at the guest service desk. Food in buffet need more variety (compared to Riu Hotel in general) but is fresh. Don't come on Monday/Tuesday. Food only start to be better starting Wednesday. Gourmet restaurant WAS TERRIBLE! I have fish and was not fresh, my husband and sister had steak and it was overcook even though they requested "rare". The waiter did offer to replace the food but what's for? The damage have been done. Japanese's food very salty, may be because they put a "trainer" at our table, We did not have the same "show" as at the other tables. But the steaks at the Steak house are one of the best we ever tasted in any hotel. We did not have a chance to check the Mexican restaurant as they only allow us to make 2 reservatations per room. Lucky for Harold was kind enough to let us make a 3 rd reservation as we stay in 2 different rooms. What we like at Riu is we are able to make as many reservations as we want. Food at the buffet no matter how good it is, if you have breakfast, lunch and again dinner, it can be boring. We go to 4-5 stars hotels for their restaurant and we don't think it should be limited. One thing is the restaurant is full, another thing you limit people Overall, I will recommend your hotel but vs Riu .... you need to make some change and control quality of food.

Great vacation, no complaints!Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: big, clean, great staff
We stayed here for a destination wedding. Great all-inclusive hotel! Food is okay - make reservations right upon your arrival for the restaurants for dinner because the food there is better than the standard cafeteria/buffet. Tons of pools (infinity pool with a bar!), a jacuzzi, a kid pool, tennis courts, ping pong tables, archery/shooting activities, and a golf course! Staff works hard and very friendly. Facilities very clean. I would definitely stay here again!
