Pros: Jetted Tub in rooms, Isolated (Couples Only made it very relaxing)
Cons: Food, Excursions got cancelled without our knowledge (and we had to fight to not get charged for them), Sound traveled from the hallways into the room
Location: Turtle Park was nearby, everything else needed a (cheap) taxi ride

Quiet hotel on the beautiful beachPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Room, food
Cons: Entertainment, more dinner buffet
Hotel is small and quiet. Rooms are nice, white sand beach is gorgeous and all personnel is polite and helpful. Food is very good, breakfast/lunch buffet's food is always fresh, and they make few dishes on your order. They have only one restaurant, so they substitute the absence of many restaurants with the offer of "a-la carte dinner" in the same place with the alternating menu: international, Italian and Mexican. So be prepared to have 6 days out of the week choosing between those 3 menus. I personally would prefer to have the buffet more often. I also would like to thanks waitresses Lourdes and Rosa who always were courteous and attentive to us. Thank you guys! Ok, now, the hotel is very quiet... closer to "slow". There was no entertainment during the evening (only once a week), karaoke or board games and bar are closing at 10pm, and hotel goes to "sleep" mode. You could take a taxi/rent a golf card and drive to island downtown. There is not much to see around the hotel on a walking distance. Or you always have a bar with liqueur dispensers in your room and you can call for a room service if you're still hungry. As a conclusion: this hotel is for those romantic soles who wants to be left along, or for those who is tired of "fast paced" life and who's priority on the vacation is a streamline of breakfast-beach-lunch-beach-dinner-go to room. You can include napping time into the line somewhere in between lunch - beach :-)

Pros: The staff was always cheerful.
This small quiet hotel was just what we wanted. A staff who knew our names, gave us excellent service, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Everything at this resort is close at hand and there are no long walks to get from one place to another. The front desk made sure all of our ground travel arrangements were good to go for our departure too. Great experience. Did I mention the yummy chocolates that were brought to our room each afternoon?

Great All Inclusive off the beaten pathPosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: The staff, the rooms, and the common areas. The common areas made it feel like you were living outside @ a 4 star hotel.
Location: Isla Mujeras is an island that is a 20 min shuttle and an 8 mile (25 min) ferry ride from Cancun. Isla Mujeras has a pretty nice downtown as well.
This is away the part scene of Cancun. It was perfect for a very intimate and private wedding with a staff that was very attentive and accommodating. Our room was amazing. Make sure you upgrade to an ocean view. The common areas are all exposed to outside which tells you the weather is always amazing. Good Trip

Isla MujeresPosted Sep 30, 2013
Cons: The manager needs to respond to matters in a timely matter.
I would have given this hotel a 5 however I had a few problems that the manager never addressed. Both my husband and I received a pedicure and the technician but both of us so bad we were walking out bleeding. I told the front desk because I certainly did not think we should have paid the tax for the pedicures, but we were never contacted by a manager. We had problems with the scheduling of transportation from the beginning. After several emails and staying on the phone for over an hour, I scheduled and paid for round trip transportation. When it came time to depart from the hotel, I had no transportation. I had to pay an extra $44.00 for a cab to take me to the airport. I insisted on a manager at that time too, but there was not one on duty. I sent an email regarding both matters and never heard a response.

Was OK, would probably try somewhere else nextPosted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: The staff was very friendly
Location: Mango Cafe is a short cab ride away and has some great dishes!!!
The hotel was very nice, and the staff was AMAZING. They were all so friendly and willing to help in any way they could. We really enjoyed seeing the same staff day to day, it felt like we got to know them a little bit! However, the hotel is small and only offers one restaurant, therefore, the menu/food choices became repetitive very quickly. Our room was also very very noisy! We could hear people talking in the hallway, people arriving to the hotel, the recycling being taken away, etc. We could have probably asked for a different room, but didn't think of that until after! One other thing, this hotel is not on "North Beach" so the water is not very clear and the beach is not the wonderful white sand you imagine. Overall, we would rate this hotel as "OK" it was a great experience and was lovely, but in hindsight we wish the hotel offered more variety and was on a better stretch of beach.

Great staff, lovely islandPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: The Staff and the relatively isolated location with Cancun itself all lit up on the Western horizon. I loved the food esp seafood and Mexican dishes.
Cons: Hmm, it was hot and humid in mid- July but that was to be expected. Great A/C in the room and nice sea breeze most of the day. Drinks in the pool.
Location: Snorkeling just off the beach- no big reefs but many small ones with sea grass and I counted 15 species of mostly colorful fish.
Staff were so very friendly especially if we tried our fair to middling Spanish out on them. They appreciated the effort. Really first class staff for this tiny, somewhat poor island (think Cuba, with colorful but often rundown houses); they have had great training, it looks like, and great people skills. Loved the Mangrove thickets and palms, more lush than Cancun itself. Really liked the AI aspect also but it was hard to avoid overeating (and overdrinking). But we lost weight despite this due to the excellent variety of high-protein and healthy dishes available for those who chose them, and spending hours snorkeling. Only possible complaint was shower head gave a pretty stinging spray and I feel like a wimpy American tourist to even mention this. Great vacation and we will definitely return. Adults only so we must leave our kids behind, but ah, well, mommy and daddy need their time, too.

Nice, quiet and relaxing.Posted Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Rooms were very nice.
Cons: Limited spa appointments, if you want one, make it right away.
Location: Wasn't by much. Had to take a ferry and a taxi anytime you wanted to do a tour or activity on the mainland. Which can add up.
Was a nice hotel, not as crazy as most of the other hotels.

Nice Hotel on Isla Mujeres, but some Major FlawsPosted Jul 5, 2013
Cons: Shut Down the Beach Clubs next door!!!
Location: Go to North Beach. It is Beautiful!!!
My wife and I took a 5 day trip to Isla Mujeres Palace on June 25, 2013. Overall I would give the Hotel 3 Stars. Pros: -Very Nice Rooms. The rooms were well appointed and functional. AC blew very cold. Jacuzzi was a nice treat. -Food Quality. For an all-inclusive, the food was quite good. Room service was prompt. -Quaint Hotel. Only 60+ rooms. Very low occupancy. -Staff. The staff for the most part was very friendly and eager to help. Cons: -The Beach. Unfortunately the Beach Front was really not very picturesque. The hotel only has about 300' Linear Feet of beach and it is covered in seaweed. If you want to go out in the water, be prepared for a view of seaweed and little else. Also, 5 mins after sunset the beach fleas come out by the hundreds. Bring OFF. -Beach Clubs next door. This was just awful. Truly was unacceptable. I have stayed at numerous Adult Only hotels throughout the Caribbean/Mexico, and I have never had more noise and annoying music to deal with. On both sides of the small resort are Beach Clubs that appear to cater primarily to Mexican tourists. They play music at a mind numbing level and are talking on speakers in Spanish practically from 9:30am till 9:30pm at night. There are brief breaks in the action, but this truly ruined the resort for my wife and I and will keep us from ever coming back. If this were to change, I would have felt completely different about Isla Mujeres Palace.
