Relaxing VacationPosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Attention to detail and willingness to please.
Cons: The only problem I had was with the bed. It was too hard and caused me pain in my back and hips.
Location: The beach is small and you will need to take a taxi or golf cart to get to activities.
We have been many places in Mexico and decided after a day trip here last year we would stay on the island this year and we are so glad we did. This resort was quiet, clean, and incredibly accommodating. They picked us up in a beautiful yacht and while serving drinks explained the history of the island to us. We were greeted by staff who checked us in quickly, offering warm towels and mojitos. This continued our entire stay. My friend, after dinner one night, asked for chocolate cake and whipped cream which wasn't on the menu and they brought it to her. The next morning she and her husband asked for cappuccino's and again they brought them! The food was over the top; wood fired pizzas, filet mignon, grilled shrimp, etc... I recommend the "romantic dinner" on the beach. We rented a golf cart and went to the other side of the island and enjoyed the beach and restaurants there. We met people who went into town one night for "Mardi Gras" and said it was a blast. There is something for everyone on this beautiful little island. I would recommend this quaint hotel if you are looking for a low key, pampered stay. Well worth the money! We will definitely return!

A Beautiful, Peaceful All Inclusive Couples ResortPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Never ending food, drinks and smiles were always available.
Cons: Would have enjoyed an evening or two of live music. But would never deter us from coming back.
Location: Everything was close and easily attainable by walking, renting a golf cart or by taxi.
The front desk staff were always available with any questions on the hotel, activities on the island, or any concerns you may have like, "what's the temperature going to be today? or Will I need a sweater?" (of course I'm smiling...") The buffet was always delicious, as well as the wait staff catering to your every need. We enjoyed the beautiful pool with comfortable lounge chairs and the swim-up bar, or step out of the pool to enjoy the open air/shaded bar. We had our choice of pizza with several toppings that was fresh baked in their own outdoor brick oven, or a menu full of other delicious snacks. The ocean colors were gorgeous and only steps away from our room, with breathtaking sunsets to end the day.

Love Isla Mujeres, great for couples!Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Location, beach and pool. Also liked that they had transportation via private yacht to and from Cancun.
Cons: Communication! Staff didn't communicate daily activities, only found out from other guests. Didn't know how to arrange yacht upon arrival.
Location: Loved the turtle farm, Punta Sur and the downtown area of Isla.
My husband and I just spent 5 days at this resort and had a wonderful time, our first time at Isla Mujeres and we loved the island. The hotel was great and met all of our needs and was very reasonably priced for an all-inclusive. The staff was great and very friendly. We would definitely recommend renting a golf cart and exploring the island. Because the resort is small and doesn't offer many dining options you can also use the golf cart to go into town for lunch or breakfast. Again, because it was so reasonably priced we didn't mind spending money for dinner at other locations even though we were "all-inclusive". Was at a very quiet part of the island and not much to do. If you want to just chill and relax this is the place for you. Definitely not the hustle and bustle of Cancun. Try and make arrangements to use the yacht for transportation to and from Cancun. The yacht runs about every 2 hours and there are only 10 spots so try to arrange early. Again, because there aren't many rooms it isn't too hard for them to fit you in on the times you need, but definitely worth arranging if possible. We didn't know how to arrange for the yacht upon our arrival. We did use it on way back to airport and it was great. There was a huge snow storm at home, our flights were cancelled so we had to stay an extra day. We actually re-booked the extra day through Expedia because it was cheaper than doing it at the front desk. Thank you Expedia!

We loved the hotel and the staff!Posted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: We like that this hotel was very relaxing and not over crowded. There was only 64 rooms so we never had to wait on the elevator.
Location: We went to Garrafon Park and went snorkeling, and ziplining, rented a golf cart, visited the public beach.
This was our first vacation ever to Mexico and we loved everything about it. We are so glad that one of our friends told us about the island. The weather was beautiful and the island had so many things to see. We rented a golf cart all day and enjoyed seeing all the attractions. The staff was very friendly and especially Jose that did the entertainment, and Hector that was a waiter. They always had a smile on their face and was very helpful. We will definitely go back!

Nice but no swimmable beachPosted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: Very pretty, good security.
Cons: It was an effort to get hot milk with morning coffee. Roping off beach and terrace areas for "Platinum Patrons" seemed petty and unfriendly.
Location: It's close to the turtle farm but too far from a swimmable beach.
Hotel is beautiful, excellent bed and air conditioning, quiet and peaceful, but we had to take a cab to the north end in order to swim in the sea.

Lovely, quiet, comfortablePosted Jan 2, 2014
Pros: All inclusive, arrange transport through the hotel and you will ride across the ocean on a beautiful boat.
Cons: Restaurant and bar staff could be more attentive, they tend to walk away and not return for long periods. Not bad but frustrating when water is empty
Location: Nice little swim beach, we felt no need to leave the resort. We had a lovely time.
We had a wonderful time during our short stay, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool was cool and the ocean was warm.

The Hotel in a corner with only total of 62 rooms!Posted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: .they were friendly when arranging a switch to a different resort. ( the BEACH Palace ) ( HIGHLY RECOMMENDED )
Cons: entertainment , the property itself, food and food selection
Location: it is off on a island which is heavily guarded by the ARMY upon arriving and departing by the ferry. Once you get to the resort its baron
when I booked for me and my wife, we were not informed that you needed to take a ferry across to the island , along with a local taxi to just get to the resort itself ( AFTER we booked transportation with expedia to get to our destination ) i feel that this resort is much to small and almost abandoned. I was very dissapointed with my experience here and i needed to be changed to a different resort after arriving for only 4 hours!!! Was not expecting any resort period could be so "dead" . im sure if you are looking for a place off in a corner that you dont have to interact with anybody ( including staff ) this will be the spot for you. the beach property maby measured for a total of 120yrds . ( very small ) and when i went to grab two drinks for my wife and I , i was charged due to a restaurant not being included in my "ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE " . they said it was off the property when there was clearly no signs visible or no boarders or anything saying such. i felt very annoyed and upset when i was trying to explain that its all open " without any information saying otherwise" The restaurant had very limited selection along with tiny tiny portions . all and all. do not book at this location if your expecting the following cause you will NOT get it : A) Entertainment B) Hotel activities C) a 110% all inclusive package deal D) services that you have paid for thank you for your time and please think twice before booking
