Very family friendly, perfect location on the hotel zone, not too crowded. Oxxo grocery, McDonalds and papa johns right across the street for when kids need an alternative. Excellent stay with our family.

Pros: Location, pool, beach, lobby, 10th floor view.

Location: The beach is amazing... sand is white like snow and the pool is Delightful.
We stayed 9 days on floor 10 of the hotel and loved the location, beach and pool but the hotel has some basic problems. Food prices do not represent value for money. They are exorbitant for no apparent reason. It was ironic to meet dozens of hotel guests across the road buying up on reasonably priced food to take back to the hotel. As a suggestion, the hotel should revise their food prices to encourage more guests to consume hotel products. Wine quality and value is poor in relation to price. It seems that management and staff are unaware of the rubbish they are selling. e.g. the Australian and Argentine wines soled are bottom shelf, sold at top shelf prices. At almost USD 55 per bottle, they must be delusional. As a suggestion, the hotel should hire somebody who can help the hotel choose value wines at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and happy. We were generally treated respectfully and received with a smile. Thumbs up here. Room facilities are limited. No kettle to boil water and no coffee or mugs in the room. I requested a kettle and was sarcastically informed that 'this is a luxury hotel so kettles are not provided'. Ironically, requested boiled water arrived tepid with paper disposable cups 45 minutes later. Perhaps this was a humorous room service joke. Room furnishings were basic and definitely not luxurious. Fake artwork, dirty toilet walls and a towel rack barely attached.

Pros: Pool and beach area are very nice.
Cons: Better organization at the front desk.
We asked for non smoking room and they put us in smoking floor. The smoke got inside the room from the AC ducts. They changed us to a non smoking floor and that was OK but bed was squeaky. Restaurants are good.

Pros: We loved our suite, the view of the ocean, the infinity pool, the beach cabanas, the friendliness of the staff, and the feeling of relaxation.
Location: We enjoyed the restaurants outside the resort as well as the flee market shopping area.
This was one of our best vacations we have ever taken as a family. The resort was amazing. The staff were so personable and we felt so well taken care of. The beach was so beautiful and relaxing. The restaurants were all top notch--even the store sandwiches/salads. We loved the FREE cabanas out by the ocean, and the infinity pool and adult pool were wonderful. We have never liked going back to the same place twice, but we would definitely return to this hotel.

Location: Visit Fred's seafood restaurant across the street - pricey, but worth the price (unlike restaurants at Marriott).

Pros: Breakfast buffet was delicious, and the waitstaff superb!
Had a fantastic time at the JW Marriott Cancun. The staff were friendly, professional, and wonderful to deal with. The resort is gorgeous...pools and beach were amazing, as were all the restaraunts, both at the JW and the Casa Magna Marriott next door. Cannot wait to go back next year!

At arrival the hotel staff was more than courteous. All my stay was first class. The room was clean and the facilities were great. I definitely will recommend the hotel to everyone.

Location: parasailing, jet skiing
Just returned from a 1 week stay at JW Marriott Cancun. Usually go to Maui every year with wife and 2 teenage kids. Staff was awesome, food was awesome beach is spectacular. Already booking another trip there for next year! Only issue at all is the lounge chairs are little tired and need to be replaced and that is truly the only negative.
