The room and service is excellent, and the staff is very helpful. The hotel next door was in renovation, so it is noisy sometimes.

Pros: This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The facilities were beautiful. There was something for everyone there.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.. unless they have control over the daily rain shower.
Location: The location was a short bus ride from the center of town. We were interested in snorkeling and dining. These activities were within walking distance
We had a wonderful stay. The staff went out of their way to please us. I have never had a better hotel stay! I will recommend this hotel to everyone.

Excellent!Posted Sep 1, 2014
We stayed at JW Marriott only for two nights and stayed another three nights in some other hotel. JW is beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, and hotel staff are so friendly. We have been to Cancun twice, and stayed in four different hotels (4.5 star type), this one is the best we have been to. We all want to come back to it, and will definitely recommend to friends. Many thanks to their excellent services!

JW Marriott @ CancunPosted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: The pool and easy access to the incredible beach: white sand, turquoise blue water, sun
Cons: A wider selection of pool drinks and lower drink prices ;)
Location: Plenty of things to do nearby. Recommend renting a vehicle to take advantage of nearby sights, events, and bars. More things to do than time.
had a great time at this hotel. Staff and location were ideal. The pool drinks were limited in selection and a bit pricey! I would definitely return again.

Lovely hotel on the beachPosted Aug 24, 2014
I've stayed at a couple of other JW hotels, and I initially found Cancun to be a little "tired". But, after a day, we appreciated the beautiful location, the most comfortable pool chairs I have ever been on, gorgeous pools and friendly staff. The Italian restaurant is also a bonus. It was homey and comfortable and not so perfect, but that made it nice in its own way.

Excellent hotel, very friendly servicePosted Aug 18, 2014
Very family friendly, perfect location on the hotel zone, not too crowded. Oxxo grocery, McDonalds and papa johns right across the street for when kids need an alternative. Excellent stay with our family.

My JW Marriott experiencePosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Location, pool, beach, lobby, 10th floor view.
Cons: Much, read my experience above.
Location: The beach is amazing... sand is white like snow and the pool is Delightful.
We stayed 9 days on floor 10 of the hotel and loved the location, beach and pool but the hotel has some basic problems. Food prices do not represent value for money. They are exorbitant for no apparent reason. It was ironic to meet dozens of hotel guests across the road buying up on reasonably priced food to take back to the hotel. As a suggestion, the hotel should revise their food prices to encourage more guests to consume hotel products. Wine quality and value is poor in relation to price. It seems that management and staff are unaware of the rubbish they are selling. e.g. the Australian and Argentine wines soled are bottom shelf, sold at top shelf prices. At almost USD 55 per bottle, they must be delusional. As a suggestion, the hotel should hire somebody who can help the hotel choose value wines at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and happy. We were generally treated respectfully and received with a smile. Thumbs up here. Room facilities are limited. No kettle to boil water and no coffee or mugs in the room. I requested a kettle and was sarcastically informed that 'this is a luxury hotel so kettles are not provided'. Ironically, requested boiled water arrived tepid with paper disposable cups 45 minutes later. Perhaps this was a humorous room service joke. Room furnishings were basic and definitely not luxurious. Fake artwork, dirty toilet walls and a towel rack barely attached.

Dear Guest Trevor I appreciate taking the time to share your experience on Expedia. Thank you for the suggestion you made to hire somebody to handle the wine selection for our restaurants and bars, this is a great Idea. Regarding our food and beverage pricing, they are par with other restaurants in the area and hotels of same category. We always try to keep our prices competitive and never be high. I would also like to mention that I will act on the number of issues you experienced during your stay and I will corrected them immediately. Thank you Miguel Flores / Manager on Duty
