Decent hotel on the beach

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Cons: The hotel should have coins for the money exchange they offer guests.
They don't let you drink your store bought alcohol around the lounge and will ask you to drink in your room. Nice hotel, but the drink rule is something to think about when picking a hotel.

Very Happy, Great Hotel!

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: We enjoy the beautiful beach, the view, and the convenient location. We enjoyed the Altitude club, and the double credit deal.
Location: Xel-ha, Isla Mujures
Before we arrived, I read about some negative comments regarding construction, noise, slow staff...etc, and I almost wanted to cancel the trip. But luckily when we got there, everything turned out amazing! Hotel is in the absolutely best location of the hotel zone. Beautiful view, clean beach, not crowded at all, and convenient walking distance to shopping/restaurant areas. Front desk staff are very friendly (Manu and Michelle in particular). They gave us direction to Isla Mujures for snorkeling, market 28 for shopping, help us break the large $500 peso bill to small bills so we can take bus rides......we are a family of 4 and this is our first trip to Cancun, so everyday I had to go to the front desk with different needs, and every time they are pleasant and helpful! I would highly recommend everyone to take advantage of the double credit deal on food and beverage(you put down $100 and spend $200 on hotel restaurants and bars), this makes dining in the hotel very affordable. And the upgrade to the Altitude club is very much worth it. You get nice breakfast in the morning and cocktail in the afternoon, which always include fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juice. As a family with young children, we are so happy that they enjoy such healthy diet everyday. Amazing hotel, we are very satisfied with everything they offered!

Dream vacation with a view

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Everything! I was very pleased with my stay there.
Cons: Access to wireless is an ordeal. Almost every day I had to ask for a new code, and to this day I don't understand why this was.
I had a wonderful week at the Krystal Grand. The hotel is at the most beautiful stretch of beach in the hotel zone. It is quiet and relaxing, as its location is not in the middle of all the party craziness further down the zone. The food at the various restaurants is amazing. They have a great activity program all day such as yoga, ping pong, beach and water volleyball etc. When I go back to Cancun I will definitely stay there again.

It's an okay Hotel.

There are too many things going on around it. Constructions on the north side. Southwest is noisy due to party bars. It is located close by the restaurants, nightlife and flea market. It is not a relaxing place. Staff were okay. Not so helpful in a way as they see you standing in line and won't acknowledge that they will soon take care of you.

NOT SO GOOD

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: The ocean view was ok.
Cons: the personnel need to be more cordial and the hotel needs to invest in the quality of the furniture and facilities within the rooms.
Location: We visited Isla Mujeres and different places around Cancun.
The hotel personnel were not very cordial, as I was expecting, based on others trips to Playas del Carmen and Cancun. In particular, the restaurant personnel were very slow. After a couples of dinners, my family and I decided to eat out. The front desk personnel greeted us very cold and never informed us of some of the activities that we could have participated in. In general, the facilities does not correspond with the grading of the hotel. Even thought apparently there have been a recent renovation, the works were merely cosmetic. Our room looked old and unimpressive. I sense that I paid too much for the hotel. Some services were actually not offer at all. The kid´s club was never open during all the days that we were there, although it was advertised as part of the facilities. I have a son and we couldn´t use it.
