Excellent valuePosted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: Friendly, hard-working staff. Nice walk to local amenities, including restaurants, nightlife, supermarket/shopping. Ocean-view balcony, 5 star views.
Cons: Building facade could use a little TLC on the beach side. Rooms very clean, comfortable, but could be ventilated better in bath/entrance.
Location: Casa Tequila best restaurant. Mextreme good fun. Bistro 2nd floor shopping center up beach, ocean view best lunch. Xel-Ha (snorkeling park) best tour.
Staff are terrific, hotel is beautiful, grounds very accommodating for couples and young families alike. Enough space for kids to splash and adults to relax. Adults-only pool, recreational pools, and a toddler pool/playground all nicely separated. Beach very inviting, and breakfast brunch a daily highlight. Very international guests, some with children. Ocean view balconies a huge plus. Resort just secluded enough, with plenty of canopied chairs and excellent service pool-side or on the beach. Great value and a relaxing family holiday.

(in Austrian accent) ~ "I'll Be Back"Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: THE HOTEL STAFF IMPRESSED US THE MOST. Though language was somewhat of a barrier for us, the employees accommodated us wonderfully without question!!
Cons: We eventually acclimated ourselves to the warm, humid temp in our room but wondered why there was no air circulation in the elevators? Stifling ride.
Location: The MAYAN ruins afar, the cigar bar nearby, the outdoor mall, room service in, night dining outside, riding waves early, buy wine at Wal*mart late!!
We wanted to travel somewhere special and celebrate 15 years of UNwedded bliss so this is where we landed in CANCUN with no regret(s)!! The location - at the end of the "hotel zone", at the point of the peninsula - was prime. With building construction nearby and Spring Breakers at every turn, we headed inland during the day to experience everything the area offered. Again, no disappointments!!

ExcellentPosted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The hotel is spacious and clean
Location: The location is off of the hotel zone, but within walking distance of restaurant, shops and grocery store. There is beach access, or very nice pools
The check in was easy, the front desk were very helpful and let us know when our room would be ready. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The pools were very nice and outside areas were clean.

Great location at the pointPosted Mar 28, 2015
Cons: Clean up the beach, at least the litter, and rake up the seaweed.
Far enough from the noise of the party clubs downtown. Close to ferry for ease of visiting Isla Mujeres. Hotel restaurants good and reasonable, Info Desk very helpful. Only negative is the huge amount of seaweed left on their beautiful beach along with litter. Could use beach grooming and this would be a 5 star beach. Nice pools, childrens area, everything nicely separated with lots of relaxing a places to set yourself down. Very relaxing.

Nice hotel, but lied to by staff and overchargedPosted Mar 27, 2015
Cons: Customer service.
I paid for six people, but only was able to use five spots as a result of the staff at the Krystal Grand Punta Cancun lying to my friend (they had told my friend who checked in later that both rooms were at full capacity). The staff then lied to my friends and I about the extra charge that they bestowed upon us because of their own lie (said they charged us $117, but instead charged us $243). In my several interactions with the staff, they changed their stories, moved markets (changed and made up exchange rates), and literally told me that they lied to me and charged my friend extra because of it. I had four nights at the Krystal Grand Punta Cancun, which is not a lot of time, and I spent two days arguing with them, trying to figure out these charges and make things right. I have never been lied to this blatantly by an institution and honestly felt incredulous at my treatment. In addition to the mind-blowing reasoning that the staff tried to convince me of, I was extremely stressed the last two days of my trip, which is not the way vacation should be and not the way I had planned or hoped this would go.

Good locationPosted Mar 25, 2015
Cons: condition of room and air conditioner was weak. Couldn't get room cooler than 20 celcius.
Location: Restaurants and shops within walking distance
The hotel is showing it's age and was in need of some updates in the room ie paint/stain. The room was not cleaned on our 2nd day. We had to ask for clean towels and by the time the guy offered to clean it was evening already. The pool was very good as was the access to the beach.
