Loved everything about this hotel.

Posted Jan 7, 2014
Location: A number of nice restaurants with local cuisine within a walking distance. Prices are way more reasonable than in zona hotelliera.
Situated in downtown Cancun the hotel offers everything needed for a pleasant stay. There's a pool with fountains and lighted with different colors jacuzzi. Breakfast offers enormous choice of hot local food - mostly not spicy, 4 different juices (try green one!), fresh pastry, fruits - you can even bake your own waffles. Underground parking is complementary and a security guy watches the cars.

Skype messenger youtube etc are blocked so you can only browse websites. They don't mention that when you check in.

close to ADO bus station a plus

The frontdesk is very helpful. A nice place to stay if you plan to visit the city and catch buses at the ADO bus station. Breakfast could be better.

great breakfast, nice room

We enjoyed our stay for a one night layover. I was very impressed with the breakfast and loved the chileques, which made the hotel more valuable. We did say we had five people and did not end up with a roll away or a bed for our fifth person, who had to sleep on the floor. That is the only reason they did not get a 5.

Great Internet!

Posted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: Internet, clean, easy to get in and out.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Stores, shopping, restaurants.
I changed three hotels in Cancun, La Quinta had the fastest internet. Which is important when you travel. The location was in downtown, quite away from the beach, so I would recommend it mostly for business travelers.

True Mexican Experience

Posted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Nice helpful staff.
Cons: maybe spray some febreeze in fourth floor hallways. Smelled a little muddy. Especially garage elevator
Location: Despite my experience at the supermarket. I will most likely visit Cancun again. But not sooner than planned before. I travel about 6-7 times a year.
I had an absolute wonderful time in Mexico! This hotel lets you experience what true Mexico is versus staying at a resort in hotel zone. There are many small restaurants around opened very late in walking distance. I suggest you only stay here if you rent a vehicle to travel to beach. Breakfast was very delicious and had different items each day. I stayed here 8 nights. The pool was under construction which was a big bummer. But hotel offers free passes to a local beach resort in hotel zone with free transportation. New pool will be available in late November. Staff was absolutely nice and very helpful minus the lady who offers the tours each morning. She was cold and not very friendly. I fell in love with Cancun and was even thinking about buying a property there until my last day there. I unintentionally and mistakenly went in a wrong way into a local supermarket Cheduri (sometime like that), on Tulum Ave. near the hotel and two police stopped me. I apologized numerous times and explained that I didn't know it was a wrong way to park (no signs) and also explained I was a tourist and needed to be at the airport in 2 hours. I had only stopped by to buy local breads and pasteries to bring back home (USA) for my family. Long story short they said If I wanted to "get out" of the situation I had to pay myself out. They ordered me back in the car and I gave them $. these dirty cops and bad ppl are what make mexico look bad and unsafe. They really ruined my experience here.
