Le Meridien Cancun Resort and Spa

“Not what you expect out of Cancun...much better!”

The concierge was lovely, spoke French with my parents (their native tongue), and treated them like old friends...they were so happy! The construction next door is a bit of a shock when you first see it, but it did not really bother us. Make sure to dine at Harris and Puerto Madero when you go, they are divine steak houses.

“Outstanding service, beautiful hotel”

Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to make one happy. The concierge staff is FANTASTIC! They recommended great restaurants for us every night. I think you can find a better meal/value outside the hotel, but we did enjoy the outside patio cafe for an afternoon snack. The view is spectacular, and the pizza oven makes a delicious pizza. The staff were always happy to answer any of our silly tourist type questions. You could visit Le Meridien without doing ANY research on Cancun, because the concierge staff is SO helpful. And they did NOT try to push us into buying expensive packages. They gave us all the options, from the bus schedule for a dollar into downtown, to getting a rental car brought to the hotel for the one day we wanted to drive the peninsula. The pools are breathtaking and so fun to go from the cool, to warm to hot pool. The gym facilities are INCLUDED with a basic room, which we enjoyed; the equipment is in very good condition. The FLOATING (hanging) BEDS on the beach are a MUST to reserve for a small fee. The beach is amazing - just what you expect. Our bed was super comfortable, and bathroom spacious and gorgeous. The ONLY down side, and this is no fault of Le Meridien, is a huge hotel going up beside it. There is sometimes construction noise. The first night, our room was on the construction side because they were full. But they moved us the next day and everything was perfect. We will return

I must admit that I was a bit skeptic about going to Cancun. However, after staying at Le Meridian, I am sold! It was a fantastic hotel. It was the perfect size, not too big and not quite the small boutique hotel. The staff was amazing, the service was amazing and the grounds were spectacular. We can't wait to go back.

“Great little oasis”

I never wanted to leave the hotel - which is only a problem because the incidentals are really expensive -- the minibar, even by minibar standards, is ridiculous, and it's $35 US a day for high speed internet. That said, it's also incredibly difficult to find high speed internet access in Mexico in hotel rooms, so I was grateful it was available, even if they did bend me over for it. Restaurant food was very good, but expensive, and the beach, pool and spa area are all BEAUTIFUL and RELAXING and the service is top notch. I'd definitely go back.

“Excellent Hotel - Can't wait to go back!!”

The service, people, accommodations, food, drinks, etc.. All was perfect. The beautiful pool area overlooks the beach. They also have an excellent kids program. The hotel is situated in a perfect location. Not too far from the shopping district, but far enough to relax. The local bus, which is about 65 cents one way, can take you all around Cancun.

“One of the nicest hotels we have 'ever' stayed in”

The staff is eager and willing to do any thing they can for you. What a treat to be pampered for a few days. The pool area is spectacular, the three pools are tiered so that when you look over the surface of the upper pool you see water clear out to the ocean. The beach area is beautiful as well and the food at the pool restaurant is great, as is the cuisine in the main dining room. The wine selection & presentation of the meal is exquisite.

“Most relaxing vacation”

second time at this hotel and it still impresses me. My girlfriend and I had the most relaxing time there. With our busy lifestyles of living in NYC, this place was a nice escape from reality. The pools, the food, the beach, the staff, the grounds...we miss it all from the moment we checked out. Cannot wait to return!

“Great service”

We spent 6 days and 5 nights in Cancun (our first time) and we really enjoyed the hotel. We stayed in a european deluxe with a partial ocean view and it was worth it. The room was up to date, comfortable, and clean. It is a smaller hotel compared to the larger resorts around but since it is smaller I think the service was more personal and better. Everyone was very attentive and tried to make our stay more comfortable.
