Excellent hotelPosted Mar 11, 2014
First time in Cancun. Couldn't have been happier with the hotel. Iced tea on arrival with a hot towel and it only gets better from there... Across from the mall. About 3 miles from the bar scene. Mostly older people at this resort. Not too many young people/spring breakers.

Live Aqua March 2014Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: Terrific staff. Food was excellent. Location.
Cons: Only negative was our tranquility was disturbed by a loud and obnoxiuos group of conventioneers on our next to last day.
We planned this vacation about 6 months ago after doing our on line research. Party of 5 adults. We stayed in 2 oceanfront rooms on the 1st floor. Even though they were on the first floor, the hotel's definition of first floor position puts you high enough up to get a nice view of the ocean. The view was gorgeous: the weather terrific. As soon as you enter the hotel you are greeted by aromatics: they use aromatherapy incense burners everywhere to convey a spa like atmosphere. Nice touch and adds an elegent feel to the hotel. Quieter than other resorts we've been to as there are no kids! Nice! Multiple food options available ranging from buffet to specialty restaurants. All very good, some better than others, but all more than adequate. Our favorite was the Hidden Garden which has an Asian theme to its menu. Also outstanding is Azure which is near the pool. We found out by accident on our second night of dining at Azure that the menu actually does change from day to day. So, it's nice to mix it upa bit when dining. Drinks seemed a bit weak but never was there a lack of availabilitty. All staff were outstanding. Can't say enough about how nice and accomodating they were. Tipping is not required but definately is appreciated by workers.

BEAUTIFUL RESORTPosted Mar 9, 2014
Cons: I am an Expedia Elite customer, yet when we got to the resort, we were offered no discounts for the spa like before. They told us Expedia handled that
Location: The resort has 8 infinity pools. It has a swim-up bar, all-inclusive, very clean, right on the ocean, shopping right across the street, great service
First of all, you can't beat Expedia's price! This resort has 8 infinity pools, 24 hour room service, and restaurants galore that cater to you. It is a very peaceful, and tranquil place to stay. I have been to Cancun four times and have stayed at this resort all four times. The rooms are so beautiful and clean. The resort is located right across the street from a big shopping mall, not to mention a bus stop is near and you can catch a bus and go anywhere. If You want to experience Paradise on earth, book Live Aqua!! The reason for some four stars is because of a few issues we ran into. It being our fourth time there, we noticed some management changes and they were not as effective as the managers were.

Great property right on the beach!Posted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, pool area, restaurants, ambiance...attention to detail.
Cons: The only complaint we have was the food temperature in the buffets.
Location: We stayed on the property...saw no need to go elsewhere.
Beautiful well maintained property right on the beach! Staff was helpful, courteous, and attentive. The weather was terrific! Beach was very well cared for, and kept immaculately clean. Food was good, but the buffet offerings were just not hot...lukewarm at best...and I am speaking of temperature, not variety...variety was endless.. Bar areas were well stocked for the most part..again very attentive staff. We will definitely return!!

Wonderful stay with one exceptionPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the serene atmosphere, and the staff's attitude the most. There was never anything they would not do to make our stay more enjoyable.
Cons: They should put some type of thresh hold under the doors to help make the rooms a bit quieter. It would also be nice to have a bit of entertainment
My wife and I traveled to Live Aqua to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and enjoyed our time there tremendously with one minor exception. On our last night someone in maintenance thought it would be a good idea to do some construction at 2:30 AM right outside of our room. We waited about 10 minutes thinking maybe they would stop. We made a call to the front desk and they were able to get them to stop rather quickly. The rest of our stay was fabulous. The pools and beach are beautiful and clean, the wait staff are very friendly and always ready with a drink. The facilities are beautiful and kept in pristine condition since the staff is constantly cleaning. We had a chance to eat at all of the restaurants and enjoyed them all. I have an allergy to seafood and my wife has a sensitivity to gluten and every chef was able to accommodate us. The Chef at Varenna went out her way to make a special dish for my wife and serve it personally. Our room staff was excellent. Our room was always made up and cleaned quickly and the turn down service was outstanding. They even decorated our room a couple of nights to help us celebrate our anniversary.

Wonderful hotelPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: staff, near beach, beautiful, close to buses for shopping
Cons: water pressure in showers
Location: bus stops everywhere on hotel zone, shopping all across street
Staff was very helpful and eager to please. Pools very nice, bar and food accessible and several spots. A variety of food, ate at the buffet most days, did use room service on several occasions.

February Live AquaPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Food quality and facility.
Cons: It's a little pricey and the liquor drinks are just "ok." They need to spend a little extra on getting better soda water to mix with drinks.
Location: Never left the hotel.
The place was very beautiful. The food was very good, which is always a huge concern at an all inclusive. The beach is awesome and pools are nice too. Tipping did not seem to result in better service.

Amazing All-InclusivePosted Mar 2, 2014
Cons: The only negative I found in my stay was the time share presentation at check-in. A hotel of this caliber should not do this to their guests.
This hotel has everything you are looking for in a relaxing vacation. The grounds have breathtaking views of the ocean from every pool, the beach and ocean looks exactly like the old Corona commercial, the food is amazing in taste and presentation, the staff sincerely cares about making their guests happy and comfortable. I am not sure you could ask for anything more.

The best honeymoon experience!!Posted Mar 2, 2014
This hotel was probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in for so many reasons! The location was great, but really it was the hotel and the staff that made every minute there perfect. From the moment we arrived, the perfect experience began. They gave us delicious tea as we checked in and then offered us hand massages as they told us all about the facility and restaurants and all the things we could do there. The hotel smells were incredible too. Every bit of the building smelled so good and relaxing. The music was super relaxing on its own. I can't express my love for this hotel enough - the food in every restaurant was perfect and so delicious, the staff was so kind and accommodating, the facilities were perfect and clean and beautiful, the room was fantastic and picturesque and amazingly comfortable in every way, and on and on! It was perfect.
