Nice with great view of ocean & beach

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: The all adult feature, variety of restaurants, the pool and BEACH.
Cons: Complete needed repairs, upgrade shower head/provide hand held shower&working hair dryer, refill fridge daily, provide cocktail menu
Location: Beach area great, tours were easy to arrange, good variety & organized.
Arrived late (time) got checked in with an upgrade to ocean view (queen beds), 4 piece bathroom. Would have been nice of the night clerk if he had asked if we needed any service - had not eaten in several hours due to travel. We did get a sheet with restaurants and service times and a somewhat confusing map of facility. We were slightly dazed so unpacked necessity's and hit the sheets. Next day we asked where the restaurant was located and from there we just asked for help / directions from staff as needed. As we struck up conversation with other guests they (thanks) provided the best assist and recommendations for the hotel. Staff was friendly and the hotel should have more staff for pool/beach area, difficult @ times to get a beverage. Need more umbrellas not all sun worshipers.

Great hotel right on the beach

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Overall, we had a great stay! Our room was clean, beds comfy, plenty of drinks and food, and extremely nice staff. The best restaurant was The Hidden Garden(Asian food). Amazing food and service there. Besides that, there are a lot of different food options, but the food was only average. This is definitely a place I would/will come back to!

Disapointed Overall

Posted Mar 25, 2015
I did not like the food. There are a few very good restaurants. No reservations needed which is a good thing. And the drinks are average and to me it seems like they did not have any Alcohol. The staff is very nice and the pools are ok. The beach had seaweed or something, it did not look inviting. I did not go in.

beautiful grounds and superb service

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: Would be better if we weren't approached by people trying to sell time shares when we got there
Location: We just stayed by the resort and walked on the beach. There are a lot of things to do outside of the resort but we just wanted to enjoy the resort
This hotel was recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and our room had a beautiful balcony view of the ocean. It absolutely helped that the weather was nothing shy of perfect. We were very impressed with the service. And we would like to give a shout out to Aminael who waited on us by the pool. He always had a smile on his face and went out of his way to make our time pleasureable. As well, Mauricio from Siete restaurant and Raul (supervisor) of Azure were wonderful. All very professional and it's obvious that they love what they do. The food was good. The atmosphere of the restaurants were unique. We would recommend this hotel to anyone

Overall is good but needs improvement.

Super Shuttle Mini Van at the ariport stole my friend's creditcard number. J.Luis (Lomas Travel Agent) sits in LiveAqua hotel who took my cash but never booked a van for me to take me to the airport. Be careful with your card. Hotel food is good. Staff at the pool bar are Kind of mean sometimes.

Wonderful vacation except for sales pitch

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Wonderful, attentive staff Pools and beach are excellent Food is generally very good (better than you'd expect) Very relaxing Great location
Cons: Our biggest con for this hotel is the terrible sales pitch. They really need to cut the heavy pressure out. The "Asian" food is also not great.
Location: Near shopping and easy to get to from airport.
This adults only, all-inclusive hotel generally lives up to the hype. The facilities are well kept; the rooms are comfortable; the service is generally excellent; the pools and beach are excellent; and the food is generally very good. If you're looking for an relaxing and rejuvenating vacation, this is for you. If you're looking for a party hotel, this is definitely not it. Our biggest disappointment was the sales pitch. When you first check in, you are directed to someone who 'invites' you to attend an info session about Fiesta Americana's Travel Club. Having arrived hungry, exhausted, and ready to get to our room, we agreed without realizing we could decline, and because we were promised hotel credits toward amenities. When we went to the sales pitch the next day, we found it to be incredibly aggressive. The 3 different sales men who tried to convince us to join the travel club (note -not a timeshare but instead membership in a travel club) used everything from guilt, to appeals to cost-savings, to pressure. The travel club is not cheap - the lowest tier is about $15k plus an annual $500 fee plus reservation costs. The highest is a whopping $75k, annual fee of $1000 plus the reservation costs. For this you get a number of 'points' annually to use toward a vacation. When we declined, they were very aggressive about why we didn't agree to lay down such $$$ after a 90 minute oral presentation! My advice is to just decline at the initial ask at registration.

Great hotel, wonderful service, delicious food!

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Ambiance, service and food.
Cons: The rooms need some kind of sound insulation; everything can be heard by neighbors and passers by!
Location: Right across from La Isla, and very close to some of Cancun's best restaurants. Might get stuck in bad traffic heading to clubs though.
We had a wonderful time at the Live Aqua! Despite spending an entire week there, we left reluctantly, wanting more! The hotel is beautiful, calm and relaxing, with aromatherapy and stunning views everywhere. The staff were all very accommodating, most especially in the restaurants and by the pool area. The food was delicious and service was totally committed to making sure every bite was enjoyed. We were treated to two special off the menu dinners by the chefs at mb and siete, both absolutely delectable! We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, conveniently open till noon and comparable to that of the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach, with smoothie, quesadilla, omelette, and egg stations as well as raw and smoked fish, and american and mexican breakfast staples. The sushi bar and crepe station were welcome treats after spending the day by the beautiful pools and on the gorgeous Cancun shore. The drink service was also great, both at the bar and in the restaurants. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful hotel, beautiful beach!

Posted Mar 21, 2015
I just returned from Liv Aqua having been there March 11-16th. This is our second year going to the hotel. We chose to go back because we had such a fantastic experience last year. This year our trip dates happen to fall over spring break and there was also a very conference. The hotel was full to capacity and I must say it did affect their service level. It seemed that the hotel was understaffed and not able to keep up with demand. The staff was very nice and accommodating to try to correct any issues, but it was noticible. I would definitely go back, but would not return during spring break and I would also check to make sure that there weren't any major conferences being held during that time.

Absolutely Perfect!

I'm kind of a hotel snob and I always find something to complain about. Not this time. We stayed at Live Aqua for four nights and the service was as good as any I've had, the facilities were phenomenal, and the food was fantastic. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they went above and beyond to add personal touches to our room. Every guest we ran into was in a good mood....that should tell you something.
