Cons: buffet needs to be improved.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Live Aqua for 7 nights, 8 days. I've been to Cancun three times before this and I have to say that Live Aqua gave me an unforgettable experience. The view of the ocean from the pool was spectacular. The staff were great-always accommodating our needs and made us feel like home. I am very pleased with the staff and hotel. The food was great overall. They had diverse restaurants an we enjoyed all of it except the buffet. The buffet was nothing special and the food quality of that is nothing compare to the there restaurants. Our favorite restaurant is Hidden Garden and MB. The layout and design of the restaurants were great and looked extremely fancy.

They Treat Us Like Family!Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Adult only
Location: The food, drink and staff are so totally enjoyable, we left the hotel for only a few minutes to visit the beautiful mall across the street.
Karla (restaurant manager), Francisco (chef), Aminael (waiter), Paola (waitress/artist), and many others were sooo wonderfully kind and helpful. They took many opportunities to make sure my wife and I were totally happy and entertained. And they were very patient as they helped me with my attempts to use the Spanish language. This was our second visit to LIVE AQUA HOTEL and we are planning for a third soon.

10 year wedding anniversaryPosted Jul 27, 2015
Amazing hotel, service, and food! Everything about this place was incredible. The pool area is very relaxing and there are waiters all around ready to take your drink order. We spent most of our day out at the pool or on the beach which is only a few feet away. Our favorite restaurant was the mb....AMAZING!!!! You also have to try their flaming coffee. We are definitely coming back next year.

Amazing place and perfect location next to the La Isla Shopping Mall.. Which came in handy when I broke my sunglasses half way through the trip and was able to find a nice $10 pair across the street. In addition, I found the currency exchange in La Isla to be the best, 1.50 vs 1.25 in the cancun airport.. So only exchange a small amount in the airport if needed. This entire hotel is extremely calming and romantic with spa type music playing in pretty much all the hallways on the main floors and aromatic oil scents being warmed around every corner including your room. Very nice and again location is key. This was our first time there, where now we see why there are so many repeat vacationers here, as the place is simply great. Also, if you want to break bills, the front desk will do this for you and came in handy for getting tip money. One main tip, the restaurant MB which is the best does require closed toe shoes for men and pants.. So bring one pair as you don't want to miss it, especially the Habanero de crime soup. All other restaurants have no dress code, so rest assured that even if you forget there are many options.

Very nice hotel with nice pool and restaurantsPosted Jul 26, 2015
Very comfortable, good restaurants with variety, nice pool area with bar, across the street from very nice shopping mall, 10 min taxi drive to nightclubs. Some issues are: a) apartment acoustic is bad, you can hear people passing from within the apartment, or you can be heard from the outside; b) pool chairs are always taken, some guests arrive early and throw towels in several chairs, so it is difficult to find a pool chair even tough most are empty, just with towels. Hotel management should act to control this situation.

Nice Hotel Staff disappointingPosted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Food, Room, Location
Cons: Pools service
Location: Great for shopping all within walking distance
Cabana staff rude Marco the guy in charge is very rude. Has a cabana as part of our suite upgrade seem to cater to the guest that was paying at the pool for the cabana's not the guest that had one included. Had a great stay going and on the last day 1 employee can take away the entire enjoyment of the week. Asked to speak to the General Manager and was told by Marco he was not on the property. Had a cabana reserved for the whole week as part of my upgraded suite, on the last day they sold our cabana to a non suite guest, and we where told we had to move because the guest they sold it to was a very mean guest and they did not want to upset her. Her it was a group of girls that Marco negotiated with the day before for a tip.I have been going to Cancun for over 15 years and this is the first review I have filled out, it's a shame that a nice hotel , good food, good location, good rooms can be ruined by 1 employee. Marco acts like he owes the place and the guests owe him unless you are a group of girls they the attention is all there. Out of the 6 days we set our cabana up ourselves 4 out of the 6 days because at 7:30 -8:00am they told use they were extremely busy, and just so everyone understands I do tip and tip very well , and all I expect is to get what I pay for nothing more and nothing less. The pool chairs are all spoken for by 8am so you would think that a $800.00 room upgrade that includes a cabana would be a no brainer, but I should have paid Marco on a daily basis.
