Superb hospitalityPosted Apr 25, 2015
The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable. The food and staff superb. Definitely a great place to get away and relax. The bar drinks were excellent and there was a huge variety to choose from.

Great ResortPosted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, great food, comfy rooms.
Cons: Would be nice to have the room made up without asking. Out from 8am-3pm and still not made during that time. Had to request for it to be taken care of
My wife and I recently returned from 5 days at Live Aqua. We would definitely recommend the resort to someone looking for an all inclusive relaxing getaway. Technically we would give the hotel 4.7 stars if we could. Overall, it was great but there were a few minor things that could have been better. The food was delicious and inventive. My wife is a picky eater and she was still able to find something to eat everywhere we ate. We tried most of the restaurants and our favorite was probably the Hidden Garden although the lobster at MB was delicious. (Heads up there was an extra charge for the lobster there). I definitely didn't find the drinks to be watered down, but rather a good mix or on the heavy side of alcohol sometimes. This was our first all inclusive stay so we can't compare the food to other places but judging it for itself we would rate it pretty highly. Portion sizes are smaller than portions you get in the United States but it just allowed more room for dessert. We never left a meal hungry. We payed extra to stay in one of the rooms on the Aqua Club floor and would recommend doing that if you can. The Aqua Club added an extra little something. The room was clean and the food/alcohol in the club itself was wonderful too. We also paid for a cabana one day and enjoyed that as well. It was helpful to guarantee some shade and was just an added comfort. Plus, the dollar was high so the rate was favorable for the extra cost.

Couldn't ask for betterPosted Apr 22, 2015
All the pics you see online is really what this hotel looks like. It is absolutely breathtaking. We were pampered from the time we arrived until the time we left. Restaurants were great an everyone was so nice. Note: I would recommend u get a suite if u are interested in a cabana by the pool or the ocean because a cabana is included with your suite. We did not get a suite not knowing any better an most of all the cabanas are already reserved for the suites. If u are lucky enough to be able to rent one they are $70 a day. They do come with a free 20 min foot massage. There is a mall right across the street from the hotel an the flee market is about 10 mins away. You can get there by bus for only $1. Make sure you have correct change or they will give you pesos as change. The third night we were there we came back from dinner an there was champaign in our room with rose pedals on the floor an all over the bed with a message that said I love you in rice dyed in red color. There isn't anything I can say negative about this hotel or our stay. We will definitely go back.

Everything about the resort was wonderful including the staff. The only complaint I would have was the long waits for dinner. If you didn't get to dinner before 6 or 7 you ended up waiting an hour or more to get sat. If you go to the bars near the beach ask for Roger he is an amazing bartender and great to talk to through the day.

Nice hotel with excellent staff.Posted Apr 20, 2015
The overall experience was good. The rooms and hotel grounds were very well maintained. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The beach was beautiful as well. The only negatives I had was that the restaurants always had a long wait despite having empty tables upon being seated. The booze at the pool bar was way too obviously watered down and it was difficulty to know what to get because it this. The other bars in the hotel seemed to be better. Lastly, there were few food choices during the day. Before we left at 12:45pm we were really looking forward to eating lunch. The main restaurant in the hotel was closed and the only choice was to go outside near the pool and eat outside after being showered and clean for our trip. Since we didn't feel like dying of the heat and sweating in our travel clothes, we were forced to go to the coffee bar and have premade sandwiches. It was very disappointing to experience that. I guess these things have to be expected at an all inclusive resort.

Nice Hotel- Beach Has Lots Of SeaweedPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Smelled great!
Cons: Take the time sharing business out of the hotel
Location: Shopping right across the road from the hotel
Hotel was very nice and accommodating. The beach had lots of seaweed on it during our stay (End of May- First Week of April). They really want you to purchase a time share while you are there. We would recommend you opting out of any presentations because it will take up A LOT of your time. The presentation was supposed to last 90 minutes, but instead lasted 180 minutes. They will give you certificates for things for attending- however it isn't worth your time. The food was okay- everything tasted the same. The items served around the pool were also served in some of the restaurants.

Very enjoyable stay!Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: staff, location, building, scenery.
Cons: Noise in guest rooms- marble everywhere, so while pretty, it echos pretty bad. pack earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
Location: Across the street from a large shopping mall , and another 1/4 mile away. You can watch dolphin show without going in :-)
We were there on 1 year anniversary. Very nice hotel, renovated/rebuilt in 2007, so pretty new. Rooms were very nice, we had a garden view, but it was on the 3rd level, so we could see the beach, perfect for those early mornings or sunsets. Hotel had several dining options, and all of the staff we interacted with were very nice. A special shout out to Jose, one of the concierge staff. All of the restaurants were very nice, even the breakfast buffet, which had a nice spread of food, american breakfast, continental breakfast of lunch meats & rolls, caviar, sliced salmon - overall they did a really nice job. Bathroom was very nice, with both tub & shower. Not a lot of beach activities, other than the water, but a number of excursions available (we liked the visit to the cenotes/sinkholes). If you want jetski's, boat rentals, para sailing, those aren't part of the package, but are available nearby. To those who are curious, we were approached (once), and opted to listen to a time share discussion - as a incentive, they provided us dinner for 2 for in one of their luxury options (beautiful place, very romantic scenery), and also a beach cabana for a day. So for roughly 90 minutes of annoyance, we received about $200 worth of perks - I liked the cabana much more than I thought I would.
