“Sophisticated Luxury!”

Our experience at the ME was amazing from the moment we checked in! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The tone for the trip was set when we were given champagne upon arrival. The entire hotel was designed with a contemporary eye for detail and romance. If you are looking for a fresh perspective on an adult getaway-this is the place! The restaurants on site prepared nice food, but the ME sits within walking distance of a nice restaurant/shopping plaza-La Isla if you want to explore. The pools are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were stylish and clean. Some othere reviews mention the beach as a drawback. I would disagree. We felt the beach was just fine for walking & enjoying waves. There isn't enough spcae for sport activities, but the beach is Federal property so you can explore beyond the hotel's shore. Don't consider this a major drawback. Our favorite restaurant of the trip was "Thai". We ate a delicious meal over the water in our own personal tiki hut. Great atmosphere and food! Another fabulous meal was at "Harry's". This is a steakhouse/seafood place with high-class service and tasty food.

“Best experience ever!!!”

Our stay at the Me by Melia was the best experience ever...we stayed in one of the lagoon view suits on level 11 and we were treated like royalty...literaly we were, as soon as we got there and gave our names we were sent up to level 10 where we had our personal receptionist, they provided us with everything we needed. we had a little problem with our shower but they took care of it as soon as possible.

“Dream vacation”

We loved everything here -- from the etherial music in the lobby and pool area to the evocative perfume scent and sensational views. Was out of this world. You don't ever have to leave the hotel grounds to have a dream vacation.

If you have kids, do not go to this hotel, there is nothing to do for them. If not i would not go anywhere else.

“very hip and the place to stay”

loved everything about this hotel. staff was exellent, kind, and attentive. The adult pool was really fun, the D.J. at the pool was really good with awesome house music. The restaurnats were all good, fresh and worth trying.

“Great dining”

Contrary to what we heard about the quality of food in the all-inclusive hotels, the Melia Turquesa's food is very good, and best if you stick with Mexican dishes. The outdoor restaurant, La Palapa, is charming and one of the nicest beach-side restaurants in that area. It requires reservations and the list fills up quickly, but don't be deterred: put your name on the stand-by and check 15 minutes after the scheduled seating (don't expect them to call you), there are often vacant tables. Be forewarned, dinner at La Palapa is a la carte and portions are fine-dining size (read: small).
