Fabulous Mexican VacationPosted Mar 12, 2014
This hotel is in a great location with an amazing beach! The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. It is not as "modern" as some of the other resorts, but it makes up for it in so many other ways. I will definitely visit Cancun again and stay at Marriott CasaMagna. No need to look anywhere else!

A great deal in a great locationPosted Mar 12, 2014
Cons: Food options are severely lacking in the casual options and authentic mexican options.
Location: There isn't much to do in walking distance, if you get a bus or taxi then everything is nearby.
Casa Magna is a beatiful hotel with many luxuries. There are little touches here and there that show the hotel's age, but as a whole I was very happy to stay there. The main down side is the food options. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a great selection of cuisines and options, but the lunch and dinner options are both pricey and lacking. There isn't really a good mexican food option which is a shame for a hotel in Mexico. There is an argentian steak house, a thai food place, a japanese food place, and a couple of other options, but no authentic mexican food. The prices for the food are also a bit steep (from my point of view) at around 35 dollars a head without a drink or cocktail. The beach is excellent, the pool is wonderful, the hot tub is a pleasure not to be missed at sunset/sunrise.

Great hotel with outstanding service staffPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: I loved the marble floors, and grand entrance and open air feel. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
Cons: No vent fan in bathroom. Room service food wasn't very good the one time we ordered it. Coffee maker in room would be nice.
Location: 2 upscale restaurants across the street: Fred's & The Crab House. Water sports place is close enough to walk to. Bus stop in front of hotel
From beginning to end this was a wonderful stay. The staff was super friendly and accommodating in every way. We upgraded for a very reasonable rate to a suite at the front of the hotel on the ocean. It was so nice to be soothed to sleep by the waves each night. It has a great beach and you could walk for miles. The breakfast brunch was the largest and best of any place I've ever stayed. We booked this as part of our stay and it was well worth it. They had low key entertainment in the bar area. We liked the quiet atmosphere but if you're wanting to party it's not the place. We didn't get in the pool, but it is nice with lots of loungers and it is heated which I understand isn't the case for many of the other hotel pools. Hot tub was nice too. I don't think you can go wrong at this hotel, all the rooms face the ocean. There weren't many children there when we visited so I don't know how kid friendly it is. I thought it was great for a couple wanting R & R

GREAT WINTER ESCAPE!Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: The gardens at the hotel made us feel like we were in paradise!!!!
Cons: The hotel can use new mattresses. The current mattresses are way too soft.
Location: The hotel is close to public transportation, restaurants, and convenience stores.
We arrived at the hotel before the 4:00PM check-in time. The hotel staff made every effort to settle us in our room as soon as possible. While we waited for our room, we were able to take full advantage of all of the hotel facilities. During our visit we enjoyed the large, very clean swimming pool and hot tub. We ate delicious meals at the restaurants in the Casa Magna and in the J. W. Marriott. Everything you need for a relaxing week can be found right at the Casa Magna.

Beautiful placePosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly stuff, variety of restaurants, service, accomodations
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Great location - very safe and clean. Local bus stops right in front of the hotel. Hotel offers car rentals, tours.
This was my second visit to Cancun and what a difference it made to stay at CasaMagna. The hotel and the beach are beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable. Overall, a great experience. I recommended this hotel to all my friends. Also, I need to mention its great location, and being within a walking distance to restaurants and small shopping area, with an easy access to local buses. I love this place!

Winter Break at CasaMagnaPosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Great location, quiet and loved the casual ,but elegant style, of the hotel. Beutiful pool and beach areas.
Cons: Coffee maker and place to hang wet bathing suits in room.
Location: Central location on long beach with a few restaurants and aqua center within walking distrance. A bus stop in front of hotel for more Cancun options.
Gorgeous hotel on the beach. Poolside and beach both relaxing and enjoyable Large grand lobby area with various seating options and wifi. With so much space to spend time availble, inside and outside, the beach, pool area, restaurants and lobby never felt at all crowded, even with a convention in the hotel. The beach had plenty of covered areas, thatched umbrellas. The staff were helpful and all spoke english. The morning breakfast boufet was excellent, in quality and in the choice of items. Stayed at this hotel for four days with my 2 children and their friend (17 and 19 years old). The hotel was totally booked as I found out when I tried to extend my stay. There was a business convention but most of the other guests were couples (young to old); small groups and families. I was pleasantly surprised that there were no rowdy spring breakers at this hotel, like I saw at some of the other nearby hotels along the beach. The beds were comfortable and we had a patio off the room with seats and a gorgeous view. The hotel was quiet, loved the location, bus stop in front of hotel had regular buses for downtown and other nearby shopping areas. We were able to walk to AquaWorld for a snorkeling trip on the reef and walked to several very good restaurants each evening including a crab shack and a wonderful Italian restaurant with outdoor seating on the water. If I were to travel to Cancun again, I would definetely stay in this hotel. Good location and well designed

Fabulous Hotel! Like the Taj Mahal of hotels!Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Most everything!
Cons: Coffee pot in room and faster check-in... "computers were down" per staff & took 20+minutes. Staff did not comp. us anything for the long wait.
Location: Location was convenient to catch a bus into the business area of Cancun. Also liked being able to walk to convenience store and pizza shop nearby.
I was very impressed with Casa Magna. It was so much more than I expected and the price was great! We opted to add the buffet breakfast to our stay and so glad we did. It was a huge spread with several choices to eat! The cost of the buffet was so much more if you didn't get it as a package with room. Perfect location on the beach with pristine views of the turquoise ocean waters! The staff was great and concierge was helpful as needed. Hot tub was huge and pool area was much bigger than it looked in the photos! Enjoyed all of the amenities!
