Cons: The pool area of this hotel compared to others on the strip was boreing. Very little to do in the hotel or for our children around the pool.
Location: The local bus is very handy.
The hotel was just ok. We travelled all the way from Australia and there was very little to do at the hotel for our children compared to others we went and looked at during our stay. The pool area has nothing going for it....no music ...no fun...no nothing. kids club was non existant. Hotel looked very tired and although we stayed in a suite it was very dated and the fold out bed for my children must have been 30 years old. I would not stay at this hotel again

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to leave your impressions about your recent visit to our hotel. I am sorry to learn that maybe because a lack of communication your children missed the opportunity to try our kids club which is available every day with indoor and outdoor activities for kids between 4 and 12 years, I will share your comments with the proper staff in order to make sure all our guests know the services offered at the hotel and this do not happen again. In the other hand I think is important to share with you that we have a renovation plan for our property and we are working on it already we understand the importance to keep our facilities and service in the best conditions just as our value guest deserve. I hope you have the chance to see these changes whenever your travel plans bring you back into Cancun. Sunny regards, Martha Castroman Quality Manager

Great Hotel

Posted Apr 10, 2015
I went for a week vacation in Cancun and Marriott Casa Magna was my Hotel. It is a perfect place, close to the beach and with a big pool as well. There are also several restaurants inside where you can eat and it is also pretty close to a bus station in case you want go in downtown or in the Mall. The room are clean and all the place well maintained. I really enjoy this hotel.

Nice family friendly hotel on the beach in Cancun

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: It was nice, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Our room had breathtaking view of the ocean and that made us happy. We can't wait to go back!
We had a lovely time at CasaMagna Cancun! The hotel was right on the beach and our room had a balcony to sit and watch the ocean. The best part was the free wifi in the public areas. Made communicating with folks at home so easy. Also loved that they had a kid's club (for a fee) so we could drop of our daughter for a day of fun with other kids. We highly recommend this hotel if your are looking for a nice relaxing stay. If you are looking for college kids and all you can drink liquor, this hotel is not for you. We liked that it was family friendly and classy. You had to pay for drinks at the bar but the magaritas are good and strong :-) The hotel buffet at breakfast was about $22 or so dollars but it had a nice selection. There are also several other restaurants on sites so you will be sure to find something you like. You can also take a bus right outside the hotel for about a $1 if you want to go outside of the resort. The buses run frequently and are pretty straightforward. We really liked this hotel and dont think we can stay anywhere else. We are already planning our next trip!

Great Family hotel, not over crowded.

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The staff, clean rooms, comfy bedding, morning buffet, beautiful hotel.
Cons: The beds were comfy, but a little small for 2 people. Put more than one chair on the balcony. We had a great ocean view, but only one chair.
Location: Great location. We walked up to the Blue Gecko for dinner a couple of times which was on the other side of the road, about 3 hotels up. It was delish!
We had a great time. The beach was beautiful, the staff was VERY friendly. The room was small, but we were able to get a rollaway bed in it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and our maid made cute animal figures out of the wash cloths and left us notes. The morning buffet was amazing and the meals were very good. Great location and very easy and inexpensive to take the bus. We walked on the street and felt very safe. Nobody seems to walk on the beach at night which was surprising since it was the perfect temperature to do so. No wild spring breakers which was great and it did not seem over crowded or a zoo like at the HardRock. The JW Marriott is next door and we liked that you could dine over there and they billed your room. We did not like that people would go out and put towels on the chairs at the pool early in the morning then not show up until noon. Fortunately we preferred the beach where it was amazing, and people did not hog the chairs if they were not there. At JW you could sit by the water for breakfast, but not at Casa Magna. I liked sitting outside by the water for breakfast.

Nice neighborhood

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Staff, facilities
Cons: Lower the price of WIFI or even for free, after all the hotel already cost so much to stay.
Location: Perfect location with public transportation easily accessible.
Compliment to the staff for allowing us early check when arrived @8am. Our package was non-inclusive hence found food/drink in this hotel quite expensive, however, there are convenience stores and Papa Jones pizza & McDonald in front of Marriott, fortunately. The pool and jacuzzi are our favorite and very crowded so is the fitness center during lunch hour. Marriott is located few kilometer from the hot zone(shopping mall, tourist attractions) so you need transportation to go around, we took public bus(R1 and R2) cost 10.5 peso per person. Even though US dollar is accepted everywhere here but I think the best way is to use peso when purchase as the exchange rate varies from store to store and usually is very low. Overall, Marriott Casa Magna is an excellent place to stay.
