Nice hotel bad beach

Posted May 4, 2015
The hotel was nice but so big that your room is a long way from the lobby and pools the other bad thing was the beach it was not a white sand go swimming kinda beach due to the seaweed. If you're going for the beach do sun palace or beach palace part of the same hotel chain and nice beaches.

Family Vacation 2015

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: All the activities for our kids , pools , FloRider, variety of restaurants , rooms, nightly shows
Cons: Bartenders need to smile more and be more friendly and not expect extra gratuity!....women and kids don't have pockets in our bathing suits !
Location: Variety of excursions to choose from
Overall a good vacation ,Beautiful resort, pools make up for the seaweed on the beach , slow check in , had to upgrade to be closer to the pool ...lots of activities for kids and family , floRider was a hit...lots of fun ...nightly shows were great , resort credits are great to use for excursions or spa ( you just need to pay taxes , docking fee and water taxis)...we chose the seadoo jungle tour with snorkelling , and dolphins... Kids had a great time ..only warning about dolphins ...for photos they tried to charge us a crazy amount for photos we declined . So that was very disappointing . ..food was good, great variety, room service was great....all staff I found most to be friendly and helpful except bar staff..I was disappointed with , not smiling or friendly..expecting extra gratuity, where do they expect women to put money in our bathing suits ,we don't have pockets like men's bathing suits (,maybe that's why they were more friendly to the men). There was one bartenders who were exceptional and they need to find more like him and his name was Rodrigo spelling* He was great with our kids , my husband and I - always smiling and friendly as they should be ..we are on vacation and nothing's worse than going up to a bar to a mad looking Bartender!! Overall we had a great vacation:)

Pros: 14 restaurant to dine in, every night outside entertainment, the tours, spa, and resort credits.
Location: We loved the Dolphins's tour and xichen trip
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful facility, very large property, and the best food you can find in all of Mexico.

Great People

The hotel is very close to the airport which is great if you have kids (no long van ride). This hotel is massive but with multiple pools and restaurants you can stay close to the room and still get all the amenities. While the pools are awesome the ocean is almost inaccessible due to the presence of seaweed; I understand that is like this for about 4-6 months out of the year. Moon Palace in not in the Hotel Zone which is nice if you want to stay on property. I cant say enough good things about the service, from the maintenance crew to the entertainers, everyone was great. I would definitely recommend.

Our first time in Cancun and we were so happy that we made the right decision to stay at Moon Palace Resort. Great restaurants, excellent service, great entertainment. Room is super clean. I wished the bed were updated and the pool were cleaner. Overall a wonderful experience.

What a great resort!!

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: I loved the variety of restaurants
Cons: Better bartenders to make drinks.
Location: When we went to Isla Mujeres we paid our taxi guy $50 to take us on a tour of the island. Its not very big but they know all the good spots
Moon Palace was just beautiful! The restaurants were delicious and there were so many to choose from. We were given 1500 resort credit and used it on the spa, Chichen Itza, swim with the dolphins and Isla Mujeres. This made the activities much less expensive. The service was great also. What made this trip even better was that we went after all the spring break craziness so the city nor the resort was crazy crowded. The only negative thing to say was that the water was not clear here, we took a bus to their other resorts in Cancun for free to see the turquoise waters. Also their bartenders need to be trained better. some drinks were to weak and some were to strong. Those were just minor things but our trip was wonderful. O and the weather is great in mid April. We have a huge king size bed, our own little bar, our own jacuzzi and hammock. Make sure to take your own little jbl speaker to listen to your music, there is wifi everywhere.

Vacation in Paradise

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Service was exceptional - what more can I say?!?
Cons: Rooms could be updated but not necessary. Beach front is not great, lots of seaweed, rocky shore line, but pools more than make up for it.
Location: No need to leave the resort, everything you could possibly think of was within a short walk or shuttle. Disco, Golfing, Pub, Lounge, Mini Golf, etc.
Was initially not overwhelmed by the hotel facilities and room (compared to one other stay in Mayan Riveria) but service, variety and features far surpassed any expectations. Service was exceptional throughout the resort (pool, buffet, restaurants, spa, etc). So much variety, pools, food choices, activities - no need to leave the resort.
