Lovely hotel, great golf, very peaceful

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Generally very good.
Cons: Food in the seafood and steak restaurants was very poor.
Really nice hotel, food in the main restaurants was very good, the speciality seafood and steak restaurants at lunch times was very poor. Wanted a room with a king bed, ended up getting a room with two doubles - which was actually two singles! Pool area lovely, general level of service was excellent.

Love this resort

Posted Nov 20, 2014
This is a great all inclusive resort. Customer service is very good. Food is very good. Resort is beautiful and well maintained. Room was very comfortable. The staff will help you with any need. The only negative is that the beach is not very good. Lots of seaweed. But they do allow you to take a shuttle to their sister resorts in cancun where the beaches are awesome. This is our second stay and we would definitely stay again.

Great for families or couples!

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: All the amenities.
Cons: Clean up all the seaweeds in the ocean. I know I know that's impossible.
Location: Golfing is always a great option at this resort as well as swimming with the dolphins in the resort. The resort is close to the airport...nice.
My wife and I took our 2 kids (11and 8) for a stay at this resort. I was very impressed. From the kid's clubs to the minigolf to the food and service everything was top notch. We wanted pure relaxation and got it. My 11 year old boys was addicted to the kids club and the waterslides. Lots of fun.

Beautiful resort!

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Beautiful resort, grounds, and by far the best food I have ever had continually. The cafe/espresso and ice cream bar was a nice amenity as well as many restaurants and lounges. My only negative is the super push for their resort time share / RCI. They are relentless and their value add of the resort credits are nice but there is always a catch. I found the staff outside of the waiters - just OK. No one was overly going out of their way to assist. We stayed 11 days and I was not sick of any of the things to do as there is so much, mini golf, bikes, sea doo rentals etc. So that was a great plus. Usually into 2nd week you are sick of the food. Not here. The kids club is pretty weak. Amazing room at the Sunrise, OK room at Nizuc but no organized activities so my kids would only want to stay for maybe 45 mins. If they added the 'camp' aspect to it I'd be back again. The min age is 4 which is kinda of old too so my littliest could not go at all.

Disgusting Unclean Smelling Room with Rude Staff

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Number of pools and Food Options
Cons: THE ROOM SMELL/HYGIENE and their Staff need some lessons on courtesy and politeness.
Location: It's approx 15mins from airport and Cancun so good location however you can just stay at the resort as all inclusive and activities to do.
My partner and I we're so excited to be staying at a 'Supposedly' luxurious all inclusive resort so we thought until we arrived in a room that had a horrific smell to it and not hygienely clean. After reporting my disgust and disappointment to the reservation supervisor Ivan and requesting our room to be changed, Ivan responded so rudely with we have no other rooms available and we will try and sort something out tomorrow. Tomorrow came and again we we're informed there we're no rooms available for 3 days. Moon Palace, I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed that a hotel of your so called standard, expected us to stay in a room that smelt so awful and none of your staff we're willing to go out of there way to improve our experience. It has been 3 weeks and we are still constantly chasing you to authorise our FULL Refund!. Thanks for ruining our holiday!!

Nice Resort with lots of good restaurants

Posted Nov 10, 2014
We went with 2 other families a total of 6 adults and 5 Kids (kids age from 8 to 14). We all had a great time at this resort. The resort is huge, have three large properties; Sunrise, Nizuc and Moon Grand. The resort have great restaurants and great pool, service is great. We had a great relaxing time.

Brilliant hotel but conferences a bit of a problem

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: the staff, the food, the beds, the rooms and the spa
Cons: ensure agents you contract with maintain 5* standards Picked up for cocobongo in decrepit minibus Booked with resort credits expect a better standard
Location: beautiful beach front cleaned everyday. lots of wildlife to see if you are prepared to walk instead of taking the bus or buggys
Stayed at Moon palace for the 2nd time last month and had a wonderful time. First time around was immense but I thought a couple of things a little bit tired. There has been a major refurbishment and it is great. However because an IT conference was the first 5 days marred by the difficulty in getting a table for dinner. Apart from the restaurants a the Golf spa the restaurants do not take bookings. Every night we scouted about to find a restaurant without a long wait but had to wait an hour t.There was a conference on the second week but they seemed to have organised dinners in the conferencing venues so not such a problem or perhaps there was less of them. When on holiday I am not in a rush to eat at night but I don't think an hour is an acceptable wait. Toilets at the golf spa restaurants unkempt. complained they were in such a mess. Toilets everywhere else cleaned constantly so don't know why there is a such a difference. Entertainment still a bit iffy. Singer in the sunrise lounge pretty poor. I preferred the father and daughter combo they had before. Michael Jackson night pretty good, magic night not so good. Close up magic and unable to see unless you were at the front. Il divo excellent Bedrooms very comfortable. Staff service excellent. Spa wonderful. Entertainment at sunrise pool way too loud through the day. Had to make sure we had sunbeds at the far side of the speakers or we ended up with headaches. I love hearing music by the pool but it was over the top.
