Great Deal for a Tropical escape from the Midwest!Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: This resort is actually 3 different resorts in one all in one giant complex. Tons of different things to do made each day a new adventure!
Cons: I think that it would be cool if the rooms had a fridge. Maybe a little better check in process- our room was delayed a few hours.
Location: Location is great because it's just a few min bus (or cab) ride to "downtown" bars & market shopping. Also a small store across the street.
Got a last minute great deal & needed to get out of the freezing midwest- Despite pretty negative reviews my friend & I decided to make the best of it and book the trip. Well the reviews for this place couldn't be any more wrong!! For what we paid- it was an unbelievably great overall experience!!!! Basically 35 Bars & Restaurants from buffets, sushi, tapas restaurants, Italian, a few clubs & more. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Easy to get drinks and all different types of food that was great! It was such a huge complex that there was tons of different things to do. For what you are paying- it is a great deal!! Since the resort is actually 3 different resorts in one- the key is just doing your research! If you are a low key couple or a family & you don't want to be in the Spring Break craziness, don't book your room in the Oasis Cancun- book in the Grand oasis or just walk over to the middle part or the other end of the resort and it's completely different, relaxing and kids etc. The Best advice is (if you are in the cheaper part of the resort -Cancun Oasis) be sure to upgrade to the black bracelet so you have access to the ENTIRE resort! It wasn't that much more & it was well worth it!! With the Black bracelet you could go the fancier bars & restaurants and get top shelf booze instead of just the rail stuff. This place was really beautiful & the weather was amazing. Just go there with a good attitude and enjoy time in the tropical paradise!

Extremely noisy all night people slamming doorsPosted Feb 16, 2014
Beautiful grounds and pool, but very noisy, marble floors, a lot of echoing through the hotel, people yelling, singing, etc all night, security needs to do better job of keeping people quiet, had to also keep asking for towels

Great party place for the younger crowdPosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff good food amazing pool through the resort.
Cons: The noise control in hotel in the early morning hours. When guests got in at 3am yelling and running up and down the halls no staff to control that.
Location: Good location 10 to 15 min bus ride into down town Cancun. Shopping and restaurant also near by.
My first time in Cancun I stayed at the grand oasis I took my kids with me this time and they enjoyed this hotel great for younger crowds. If your looking for a up all night drinking and having a good time this is the place. Had a great time I would recommend this hotel but if your looking for a more quiet and relaxing stay the Grand Oasis is the better choice.

Very nice hotel, but terrible foodPosted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: The common areas
Cons: The food and the staff
The hotel is super nice, the pool area, the beach area and the rooms are very nice. The food is mostly bad. The cleaning staf is very kind, but the rest is not so much, the bartender Omar is super rude. This hotel is very cheap so the food is not very good, but the common areas are beautiful, I would recommend this hotel if you are planning on eating outside at least once a day.
