Not for families.Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: The water and the beach. Nature did not go wrong. Water was nice and the beach was nice.
Cons: See the "experience". First if there are four people in a room, please provide four bath towels, more than 2 water bottles per day, pool side space
I stayed at other hotels in Cancun Mexico. This was my third trip to Cancun in the past three years. This hotel Oasis is a party hotel, it felt like a college dormitory, the place had college kids more than families, noise in the hallways after midnight was terrible, music flowing out of the "hotel rooms" with doors open was common, the pool side does not have space for families, the "F" word is rampant at the pool side, one time a person at the next table was so intoxicated with alcohol that she vomited during dinner, wait time for the restaurants is 45 minutes or longer. The word "all inclusive" has a new meaning after the stay here, they refused to give more than 2 bottles of water per room per day. A 500 ml water bottle does not last more than an hour for a family of four with two elementary kids--giving 2 bottles of water only per room (4 people) does not really create an "all inclusiveness" when you have to fend for water. The room service is a separate charge and does not come on time. If lucky you will have four bath towels per room (4 people in the room). They limit bath towels to TWO per room irregardless of four people staying in the room. Multiple phone calls to house keeping and after four or five hours of waiting will result in additional bath towels. One of the days, the water and sewer system were serviced without notifying the hotel guests AND there was no water and toilet would not flush btwn 10 am and 5 pm that day. Not meet any US standards.

DisappointedPosted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: The food was very good and service at the restaurants was better than any of the others on staff.
Cons: Don't falsely advertise what's included! We were shocked by so many hidden fees.
Upon arrival, we noticed a smell. We waited quite a while to check in and had a hard time understanding the person who finally helped us. He seemed irritated that we didn't want to spend more money to upgrade our "all inclusive" capabilities. When we found our room - and yes, we had to search because we weren't given any instruction - there were 2 double beds (we reserved a King sized bed) and 0 towels. It took us 2 calls to Housekeeping and 2 calls to the front desk just to get towels. The view was of the back of a building even though the website claimed all rooms had scenic views. There were no on-site excursions - no snorkeling, no kayaking, no sailing. This all cost more. If you wanted to lay under one of the beach huts you had to pay extra. If you wanted to use one of the beach beds you had to pay extra. The gym consisted of outdoor equipment. There was only one option for breakfast - no coffee in your rooms. It definitely catered to the college aged crowd with loud music and inappropriate apparel and dancing during evening entertainment.

Rooms need updated. Pool and beach were nice.Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Pool and Beach
Cons: Room Amenities (more towels in rooms, bottled water), Rooms need updated
Place is great if all you want to do is party. Don't trust the security...they are corrupt and will try anything to get you to pay them for something. Half the lights in rooms don't work...no mini fridge, and you can forget trying to get any bottled water. Beach and pool were very nice...food not terrible...all in all it was an OK trip....I don't regret staying there but wouldn't stay again.

awfulPosted Feb 11, 2015
Things went from bad to worse. We arrived around 3pm. We had to make a room change right Away..this is why: -Shower leaked all over floor-into the bedroom -TV was a 10inch tube TV that had to buttons or remote. - No lights worked(only one in bathroom, one in bedroom did work) -Two twin beds instead of one kind like we asked for. -We were on first floor near partyers.(very noisy, couldn't sleep) -No clocks so we rushed to front desk and asked for a room change. after arguing , we weren't able to switch rooms that night. But settled for switching the next day. Morning comes and we got this paper that had been slipped under our door in the middle of the night. It says for room change bring the paper to front desk at 8am, or it will be void. Mind you we DONT have a clock ..We run downstairs...luckily on time. They tell us to come back with languages at noon. We arrive at front desk with languages at 11:30, they then told us we are too late for room change...arguing yet again...We finally get them to help us. They tell us room won't be ready until 3pm... Now we are waiting with no where to go with our languages for 3hours!!!!! What a WAIST of our first two days. 4days left we are trying to make it a good time but we discover things like: -Had to call for shower towels every day -NO bottled water.(We walked across the street to convenient store for them most of the time) -Drinks were limited, one choice of beer and limited mixed drinks. -food was cafeteria food. We had bet

Very NoisyPosted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: food was ok in about 4 out of the 11 restaurants, service in the restaurants was very friendly. we enjoyed the Mexican live singing
Cons: I would recommend making this an adult only resort
Location: nothing good all very expensive and you have to bus it or taxi but taxi is very expensive also.
Not a place for kids, room smelled bad, toilet doesn't flush properly. place is in need of serious renovations, very old and run down. food was ok in most places though, alcohol and pop totally watered down. had to call 4 to 5 times late at night because of drunk people in the hallways screaming at 4 am. call for room service or water and had to call 4 times. This place is rated for people who like to party all night, not families with children. peoples empty plastic drink container strewn all over the place and getting blown into the pool.

Great hotel. But if you don't like loud music and a younger crowd of people, this place is probably not for you. Try the other oasis next door on the same property. Seemed to me there was a "party" side and a calmer, quieter, more family friendly side.

OK for a quick get-away with low expectations...Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Location on the beach and close to the airport was a plus.
While the public pool and beach areas were very nice, there were quite a few disappointments about our stay at OASIS. Facilities are outdated, the air-ventilation system smells putrid and hotel staff were there to perform 1 function each - many could not answer questions about the rest of the hotel and/or they gave out misinformation.
