Loved Cancun, But will never stay at Oasis Palms

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Near to beach, unfortunately no one able to go far enough to snorkel because they have it blocked off due to boat traffic.
Cons: bouys need to be moved to enjoy beach, need better food (disgusting), kids mostly survived off fresh fruit, which is only thing they couldn't mess up.
Location: not much, all bus/taxi ride away. Xcaret beautiful, but def not worth price, costs more than Disneyland but not worth it.
The only good thing about this hotel is that it is on the beach. Other than that this place nothing to write home about. The food was horrible. I can understand we are not in the USA, but I am sure there could be better prepared food. Breakfast was doable. Dinner bad. The common areas, including the lobby, bars and restaurant had no air conditioning. Some of the floors were under construction. In the morning there was a lot of noise and strong smell of Turpentine. We travelled in a group that needed six rooms. They put 5 rooms on 7th floor and one room on 2nd floor. When we complained they moved that one room back to 7th floor, but not until the next day. So we had unpack and repack in the morning. Sink was clogged. The shower was clogged. There was mini fridge in the new rooms but it was locked. Access to the mini fridge us $5 per day. Any complains we made, the answer was "Sorry", but no effort to compensate for anything. They advertised Pirate Cruise on their website (supposedly all inclusive), when we asked for it they told us it was not included and we had to pay $135 for the cruise. When we showed them their website advertised it all inclusive, they simply said it was a misprint and they will correct it. But not once did they offer any thing else. May 25% off, may 50% off. Nothing, no compensation.

The room was ok with exception of the bathroom door wich didn't close. The dressers drawers were falling apart. The floor wasn't clean.

Dated with horrible food...

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Pool and beach areas. Good souvenirs. Good music in pool areas.
Cons: Update rooms, improve on food quality, choices and cooking, expand swimming hours, don't put guests in construction areas. Too much money.
Location: Stayed at resort.
Three or four choices of buffet/cart choices, and only some of the bread was good! After 12 transfers and three or four hang-ups, I was able to order cheeseburgers and fries that were delivered an hour and a half or more later. The drinks were fine, as was the pools and beach areas. Unfortunately, we were unable to swim one full day because they had run out of towels both times that we went to get them. We had construction or something going on from below, nearby on our floor and sometimes right outside under our window from check-in Thursday through about 7-8pm the first night, all day from 8 am through 6-7 pm for the two full days, and even starting at 8:00 am on Sunday, continuing through our checkout at 12:00 noon. Second and last Expedia hotel deal, and first and last experience with an all-inclusive!!!

Nice, comfortable and very economic.

Pros: Oasis Palm is a good hotel. We have nothing bad to ay about it, except that some areas of the hotel are very hot..
Cons: Some areas are very hot. Probably, to save power management turn off air conditioner. That is not good.
Location: Location was good, close to every place, downtown, marines, etc.
My wife and me enjoyed every day in Cancun. City's environment is magnific and amazing. Very friendly people ready to help anyone that need it.

This hotel is not all inclusive at all.

Posted Jul 14, 2015
I would like to start by saying the hotel staff is very friendly. But this hotel advertised many things that are not true. When you stay at this hotel you can only eat at some of the restaurants, some you have to pay. The buffet food is not so great. If you plan to use the safety box, be ready to pay some extra cash. Not what I expected at all.

Beautiful! Beach front + beach side pools

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Great-very clean all inclusive hotel, friendly staff. Great for families. Great poolside music every night, my kids enjoyed a kids (ages 3, 9) movie at the hotel beach, plenty of hotel planned activities (Pilates, yoga, Zumba) on the beach. Fish pedicure was cool. We did parasailing at the hotel (extra fee). 2 things I didn't care for so much was: The wifi did not work well and I wish the kids club was a little different. My kids really wanted to swim at the kids pool but the kids club is on a strict schedule where their pool is only used for about 1hr per day. Overall I loved this vacation and I would stay at this hotel again.
