Cons: Provide internet service for free and the provide additional information to the guests upon arrival.

Truly enjoyed this hotel. It has nice pools, it is at the beach and it has a great staff. Wonderful DJ that will keep you in house all night long.

Oasis Viva gets a E for EffortPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: The staff and the hotel activities - vampire show, and other shows.
Cons: The hotel really needs to track maintenence of the rooms because the rooms were in POOR conditions.
Location: We did the fly board at the MArina with Mauro at the Intercontinental hotel. Do not try Senor Frogs.
My husband and I just got back from staying a 5 night stay at Oasis Viva. This was our 2nd time staying at the hotel. The staff of the hotel are AMAZING! They are very humble, friendly and hospitable. When we arrived we were greated with a champagne glass, check in was smooth. Our room was terrible, the air conditioner gets shut off in the night time, the television did not work, the key card to room did not work... I mean we felt as if they gave us a room that was broken down or something. We called and complained and they tried to fix everything for us - after failed attempts, they upgraded our room free of charge. The food was ok.. I wish there was more Mexican food available at the hotel. The Italian restaurant was absolutely delicious. The hotel had plenty of fun activities for us to do - and that WAS FUN! Benny was AMAZING. He was like the hype man of Oasis Viva - he was the one who would be out in the pool making sure all the guest were having a great time. I would reccomend this hotel, but just know that you get what you paid for in terms of room, bed, food, etc..... but you get AMAZING STAFF and pretty much a bang for your buck. P.S. This is the BEST Oasis for COUPLES.

Beautiful view of the ocean.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Great place to relax. You can just lay on the beach and have a drink. Food and drinks are good , but the view from my room was amazing.

Not bad, but....Posted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: The food and the staff
Cons: Upgrades should be specified, restaurant hours should be posted, and prices should be given in both pesos and USD.
Location: Lots of great shopping and the Xcarnet tours were great.
The beach and the pools were beautiful, the staff friendly and eager to please, and the food very good. The spa was very nice, but the massages were VERY expensive. The elevator (one tiny one in poor condition for an entire wing) had broken mirror panels, and the skylights leaked. My biggest complaint was that we didn't receive our "senior program" upgrade. When I asked about it, I was told that our room WAS the upgrade. A standard room with an empty minibar and inadequate electric sockets? Our promised free massages were on the bill.

Not All-inclusive / More Like Part-InculsivePosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: only thing is that the beach is close
Cons: inside the hotel barely any A/C so you just sweat no matter what. One elevator that fits only 6 maybe 7 people. takes forever to get anywhere
Location: Across the street was a shopping strip and local restaurants really nice. We ate at the a place called the Seahorse Great place nice owner!!
This hotel very is miss leading. Felt very secluded they divided people with purple and black brackets. When purchasing this hotel read fin print! If I knew this would have never went to this hotel! If you have a purple bracelet you can only eat at one of the dinner restaurants (which is ok) or there buffet. They have 2 lunch snack bars that serve chicken or sushi. they have 2 pools but you can only swim at one if you have a purple bracket. Anything that looks nice like the cabanas not for purple bracelets. They segregate the beach and give the nice spot with all the comfy beds and nice chairs to black bracelets. Went up to a bartender and was to oh sorry cant serve to purple bracelets so bar service was limited. you can upgrade to a black bracelet for an additional fee, but again wouldn't have paid that price for a hotel like this. Night life they have a club/bar with nightly entertainment/DJ which sorry if you have purple bracelet you cant go so your stuck with nothing to do.

nice hotel right on the beach close to everythingPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: location, staff, pool area
Cons: FOOD, late night food options.
Location: great location all restaurants and clubs and shops in walking distance.
i enjoyed my stay at this hotel i recently traveled august 2013 with three friends. . the location was great. we could walked to everything if not there is a bus for $1. the staff are very friendly. the only bad thing was the food it was horrible. they only have one buffet if you do not upgrade to the oasis grand package. housekeeping also was not that great we had to keep asking for clean towels and toilet tissue. besides the food and housekeeping its a great hotel. i would stay again or at their sister resort grand oasis which is nicer but not Adults only.
