A welcoming, family-spirited atmosphere helps distinguish this resort, which, despite its compact size still offers guests plenty of day-and-night activity and entertainment.

Daily, staff-led programs include activities for all, ranging from beach walks and stretching sessions to volleyball, bingo, and children's crafts. Guests can spend evenings listening to live music in the lobby or, three times a week, enjoying live performance shows with Mexican, Caribbean, and pre-Hispanic themes.

Five restaurants serve international, Mexican, Asian, and seafood specialties. The four bars include a beachside health bar with natural drinks and a swim-up bar.

A small business center provides two computers with high-speed Internet access (surcharge); front desk staff can help with faxes (surcharge). Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby (surcharge).

Guests are asked to avoid walking barefoot or wearing bathing suits or wet clothes in restaurants.

The resort's six bars include a swim-up bar, a lobby bar with live music nightly, and a health bar that serves juices and natural drinks under a palapa on the beach.

La Fuente - Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets of international cuisine. Indoor seating with tables set in blue and white linen.

Careyes - Traditional Mexican flavors with a taste of the Caribbean. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dinner reservations required; dress code: formal.

Dos Lunas - Small, intimate restaurant serving Continental breakfast and Mediterranean cuisine for à la carte lunch and dinner. Dinner reservations required.

Koori Snack Bar - Serves sushi from midday through the evening.

Steakhouse - Traditional steaks with a dash of the Caribbean. Open for lunch and dinner. Dinner reservations required.

To protect guests from passing boats, the hotel allows sea swimming only in a defined, shallow area in front of the resort where the water is calm. Nonmotorized sea sports include kayaking and sailing. The pool is another focus of activity, with staff members running a daily program that includes water aerobics, pool volleyball, and games.

Stationary bicycles, stair machines, and free weights are provided in the small fitness center opposite the health bar.

Staff members can help arrange area activities such as parasailing, fishing excursions, and boating.
