Paradisus Cancun All Inclusive Resort formerly Gran Melia

I debated whether I wanted to tell anyone how much we loved staying here. I'm afraid if everyone finds out about this place, I'll never be able to book it again. We're a family of four and being that it is a family resort, we don't have to worry about things getting too "Cancun crazy". I believe the hotel has one of the largest beaches in Cancun. The beach is a white powder - gorgeous. The hotel and staff were wonderful. The service at the restaurants, beach and pool was exceptional. The grounds, pool and hotel were very clean. This is the only place we will stay in Cancun. Can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Best ever. It was my husband's third time in Cancun and second trip for me.

This was such an amazing resort! We enjoyed the entire week. Fabulous service, amenities and food. I highly recommend the Royal Service!

Exceeded my expectations. Really liked the facilities. Lots of food options (excellent food for an all-inclusive). Staff was very helpful and nice.

We just returned from this resort and it was our second time to stay here in the last 6 months.we were here the first time in Dec 2012 and had an awesome time even though it was under construction. There was painting and some dusty areas but was very quiet and did not interfere with our fun. We were with one other couple in Dec but this time we had a total of 6 couples and we were all able to be in same tower except the one couple who arrived late. The hotel had several new bars and restaurants open this time around. The pool is clean, swim up bar area is awesome. Great bar staff, (even better with a small tip for the day). Keep in mind we r talking great service for 12people at the bars for $10-20 /day. We also were able to sit by pool and order room service and the wait staff delivered it right to us. We also spent a lot of time at the beach playin volleyball and the wait staff (Luis and Christian) would bring us ice buckets full of bottled water without even asking!!!!!! We had a great time at all the restaurants Vento was the best food but the second night we ate there we had bad service (again we had 12 people which is a large party to fit all at one table) overall the total experience was awesome and we would definitely go back again. We did a snorkeling excursion which was recommended by the Olympus representative and was the best snorkeling that we have done. Best entertainment Orlando is awesome! This is a great place for families. Our two kids loved everything about it; my husband and I did also. The food is excellent. The hotel is older and had some leaks during a rain storm, but it didn't bother our stay. I would come back and stay here each year. It was wonderful!

Excellent. Only thing is that there was a lot of time share being promoted within the hotel.

We opted for the Family Concierge service and were very happy with the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived at the front door to the moment we loaded the bus to go to the airport we were made to feel at home and every effort was made to make sure our stay was memorable. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from and most of the food was very good.

My husband and I were at Paradisus Cancun from May 31st till June 7th. I have been to Cancun several times, and always stayed at other resorts which where 5 star all the way and had awesome service. We booked here this time, Big mistake! We arrived at the hotel at 10:00am, of course they did not have our room, however they told us, come back at 12:30 and it will be ready. We went the pools and came back ready to get changed or take a shower, and our room was not ready. They did not even say sorry, they just said, "come back at 3:00pm". We waited that long time, came again at 3:00, hoping that they would have it ready but of course they did not, they even wanted us to wait another whole hour! At this point we were very unconfortable because we had been waiting soaking wet for hours! Seeing our disapponintment they wanted to give us another room on another piramid far away on the 1st floor with parking lot view! I was so upset, because we had booked a nice lagoon view, so they were just so inattentive and just handed out some room keys. When we got to our room, even worse things happened! We wanted to take a nap and there was horrible drilling noise right beside our room, I really felt like I was in Cancun nightmare! The whole Hotel stall will try to convince you to buy TIME SHARE by offering a "welcome breakfast". That is every DAY! There where so many disappointing details with this hotel that I would just never finish writing, DON'T book here.

In general it was a good experience, The only negative was that the day we checked in a host came to us and said she would like to give us information on the facilities. Well she pointed to a couple of the restaurants then had us sit at desk and proceeded to try and sell us another vacation and a 1.5 hour seminar for the next morning. She would not take no for an answer. I had been up for almost 24 hour and my wife became upset with the pressure. She told the host we came here to relax and would like to do so. We basically had to walk away. As the week went on we found ourselves walking away a few times throughout the tourist aria.
