Great Family Get Away!!

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: The staff were VERY friendly. Room service was lightning fast.
Cons: Not so many restaurants that need reservations. Also, the teen area is hidden away in a lower floor and we didn't even see it until day 3.
Location: The Flea Market and El Rey Ruins were great. Public transportation was very easy.
My family experienced our first all-inclusive vacation at the Paradisus Cancun the week of 4/7/14 and had a great time. Although the check-in was a bit confusing and our rooms were moved around a few times (first we got one King bed for a family of 4 and the second room the mini-fridge was leaking water on the floor) but the third room we got was just right. The place is beautiful and they seem to always be doing updates to it (which shows that they care about the resort). The beach and pool were fantastic. Simon and Jorge at the main pool swim up bar were the best bartenders ever. They were professional, yet fun to be around and very friendly. In the buffet area, Alberth Pech and Jesus Gonzales were great servers. They ALWAYS made sure our drinks were filled and that we were taken care of. Overall, all the staff were friendly- even down to housekeeping, who made sure we had plenty of towels and toiletries. We did not get pressed for the time-share stuff, which was great. They have an on-site Expedia office at the hotel and they were VERY helpful, too. Overall, we had a great time for our first out of country vacation. Just some info to know, though: 1. Not all of the hotel shop's take American money. Some only take credit cards or peso's. 2. All but a few restaurants require reservations and they book up very quickly.

Lovely hotel close to beach with great pools

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Room, view, clean, good beds, lots of food choices nicely prepared and staff both housekeeping and dining that were unusually helpful and efficient.
Cons: Check in. It seems someone wanted an extension, but that shouldn't take the room of the person with a reservation. It all worked out later though.
Location: I couldn't make myself leave. But the family went to Xcaret. (Sp) shows were fun at night in hotel.
I would give it an overall 5 but for the first day room hassle and the work being done overhead the day before I left with much moving of chairs on tile. I was hoping for a little siesta. I do know work has to get done, but it was disappointing

R&R Time

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Only thing there wasn't to like was the pools all close at 7pm And there is only 1 restaraunt that you didn't have to have reservations at and to make that even worse your reservations have to be made atleast 24 hrs in advance so you couldn't even wake up and discuss dinner plans over breakfast.

Great hotel in a wonderful location

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Location, variety of restaurant / food, kindness of staff.
Cons: They were just renovating some areas that were starting to show the sign of time.
Location: Chicen Itza an Tulum - amazing Mayan ruins, snorkeling on the coral reef.
We've been at Paradisus for a whole week with the all inclusive formula. Great experience form the very beginning at the check-in where they offer free drinks. The staff is amazing, great service, everything is very well organized. The main restaurant is very good, a broad variety of foods, opens a 6:30 in the morning and closes at 11 pm. You can ask a cappuccino, a margarita and drink the house wines, without spending a penny. There are 6 more restaurants which offers a great way to change the menu without walking out the door of the hotel, including sushi and an upscale gourmet restaurant. At lunch there's a restaurant in the pool where you can go with your swim suit which is very convenient. In the main lobby, which is a huge closed space, there are different travel agencies (among which an expedia one) that can help you organize all your trips or whatever you might want to do. Overall great experience, great location, very relaxing.

Unbelievable comforts and service all time away be

Posted Apr 5, 2014
A very well run massively large facility. Guests are very well cared for. Service excellent. Recommend taking the optional tour at the start as it took almost 5 days to discover all the restaurants and services that are all here for the resorts guests. Beautiful and spacious and any quiet areas for just sitting or reading or studying.

Beautiful resort

Posted Apr 5, 2014
My family and I just returned from our trip and loved the hotel. Unfortunately we had to cut the stay short a day because my daughter had an allergic reaction to the sunscreen we brought from home but we will definitely be back once she is a little older (or just a solo trip with my husband). The food was the best I've had at an all - inclusive and the amenities were great. If you are traveling with kids be sure to book the family concierge. Adriana took great care of us and even packed us a snack bag to take with us to the airport. Thank you to all the staff for going the extra mile on everything.

Fantastic Resort

Posted Apr 2, 2014
We stayed at Paradisus from March 24 - March 31 2014. The resort itself is beautiful, very clean and modern. We upgraded to the ocean view room, which was worth every penny, view is amazing. The beach at the resort is beautiful, by far the best beach I've seen at a Cancun/Playa Del Carmen resort. The food at all the restaurants is good, Ibana and Marketplace are the best. Drinks at all the bars are good, top shelf booze at all the bars if requested. Pools are very clean and surprisingly warm water. Swim up bar is a great time during the day, bar tenders are very friendly. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay, the resort is good for all ages. The resort needs more chairs by the beach, you have to get up and out by the beach by 6:30 am to get a chair!
