Excellent hotel, with a variety of pools and beachPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: We had no problem making reservations at any of the restaurants and we were able to have dinner at THE BEST on two nights, the Kulinarium.
Cons: Nothing !!!!
Location: Thought the location was great. A block from the ferry service to the Isle of Mujeres, and a bus stop across the street for the hotel for a short ride
My sister, best friend and I were extremely impressed with this hotel. All the help, front desk, servers, pool attendants and bar servers, and restaurant servers, room service, all went out of their way to make us feel more than special. We had booked April 7-April14

Spring vacation in CancunPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Cappuccino bar, buffet meals pool area
Cons: Improve the mixes for the alcohol drinks, they are too sweet. Obtain some better alcohol choices.
Location: We took the bus everywhere we went.
Hotel is very big, very nice, staff are exquisite and friendly. Its all inclusive. I usually so not eat at buffets, but the buffet was delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lobster night was the best, real lobster tails. Delicious. I did not prefer the specialty restaurants, you could not get a reservation and they only booked two days in advance. That was too much to think about on vacation so we ate at the buffet, the cappuccino bar, and the sports bar.... limited beach, pool was very nice and relaxing. Guzman was the best bartender in the lobby bar. Our room was nice and clean by the 5 day we smelled sewage coming from our tub which was next to out bed. Horrible smelled they corrected the problem immediately. Hotel is very busy and lively. The drinks were the only down fall for me, I'm used to drinking top shelf at all times, the hotel has no top shelf alcohol and the drink mixes are too sweet... overall had a great time.

Excellent hotel with beautiful view and groundsPosted Apr 12, 2014
My husband and I had a fantastic experience. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the adult only section villas and loved everything about it. Grounds were always clean, bathrooms all around were always clean, food was very good, staff was excellent and entertainment was fun.

Wanted for nothing elsePosted Apr 12, 2014
Beautiful, clean, efficient staff, with amazing views. The reservation process is a trick, but not the worst I've experienced. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Pool is fantastic, but getting to the beach has huge rocks. Still clean and maintained well.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views!!Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Very nice hotel. Very new. Hotel is exactly like the pictures.
Location: We went to wal-mart for our souvenirs, much cheaper than buying things at the hotel. We also went out to the kukulkan mall to the Harley Davidson shop
We stayed the first of April. Upon arrival (which was 10 am, a few hours before check-in) our room was upgraded to the adult only villas and was ready in 30 minutes after arriving. We were able to go and enjoy breakfast while waiting on our room. I would highly recommend the villas!! The weather was gorgeous, a bit windy though. It did however rain one day so we ventured out to town by the bus. We felt completely safe riding the bus, but the driver does not speak English at all. Breakfast was amazing, definitely his favorite place Las Olas. We did make reservations for the restaurants. Kulinarium, which is the restaurant you can only eat at if you stay in the villas, it was ok, too fancy for us. We also made reservations for Tamales, Mexican food, which was amazing it was my favorite. The staff was amazing. Frenando was awesome he was our favorite pool side bar tender, he took ver good care of us. Marlene was also amazing she took very good care of us for breakfast and lunch. She was always there to greet us and also taught us some Spanish. Overall an amazing experience. We will be back again. The only bad thing, if you are a beach person, the beach area is very small and rocky. They have plenty of lounge chairs but the water area is small which was fine with us, the ocean was very cold and we would rather lay out by the pool.

Nice hotel, mediocre food.Posted Apr 9, 2014
Check in was fast, and we were offered a choice of an ocean view room in the main building or junior suite at the adults only villas. We settled for the villas which have a jacuzzi on the balcony. We were happy with this choice since there did not appear to be a jacuzzi elsewhere on the resort. Room was very nice, a bit humid in temperature, but overall tolerable. Housekeeping/room service were quick and timely. The resort itself is beautiful. There is no shortage of swimming pools or lounge chairs. The villas grant you exclusive use of the adults only pool. The beach has some rock formations but I felt this really added to the natural beauty of the beach. Besides, they have cut into the rock to create stairs that lead right into the water. Drinks were average, not particularly strong. Food was the major downfall. A resort of this size and no poolside food service? They did have poolside drink service, but it seemed infrequent, especially at the villas pool. They did have a grill section which opened up by the pool but the hours just seemed way off and never coordinated with our schedule. Buffet restaurant was not anything spectacular. Reservations for specialty restaurants have to be made 2 days in advance which was inconvenient, but either way, the Kuliminarium is the only one worth your while. The entertainment team was fun, and they even escort groups of guests to the downtown clubs. Side note --- these people work very hard, a little tipping goes a long way.

Great 4 star hotel but only 4 star service.Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Rooms, buffet, staff at buffet, and entertainment.
Location: We sated at the hotel but there are many activities close by.
Great hotel and beautiful property. Honestly the only thing the resort really needs to improve on to get over that 4 star is to improve the service. We've been to two other hotels in Cabo and Playa and what really set them apart was the service. There are no food menues available at the pool and that get kinda of annoying real quick. The staff in the buffet area is great but at the bars, pool, and spa you get about a 3 star experience. Best part of the experience was the villas. They are Huge and really nice. Totally worth extra price. However there is pretty mediocre service at the private pool. If they provided better service at there high end adult only pool, it could have made this a 5 star experience. There was also no way to book a reastrant your first night at the facility. It was always one or two days out even if you call prior to the trip. Front desk check it on restraunts booking were also about a 2-3 star experience. I don't think we're too picky just have had dome really great service at other hotels in the area and this hotel kind of missed that mark. On a positive note they have nightly entertainment that was really great. Some of the best I've seen for an all inclusive hotel. So all in all hotel itself is a 5 but staffing is between a 3-4. All in all probably wouldn't go back with so many other options available. If they were to improve service and training it to totally could have been a 5 star experience.

Nearly New ResortPosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Landscapes are well maintained. Beautiful colors scheme.
Cons: This resort needs to have more shows and entertainments for guests of all ages.
Beautiful scenery, beachfront resort. Drinks and food are great.
