“Will Go Back”

Great place, off the beaten path, excellent service and stay in one of the rooms on the lower level that faces the beach you can walk right onto the sand, it's amazing! Go to the club with the hotel staff, make reservations at their restaurant Oysters, and visit their sister resort. You will love it!

If you want to party don't go there but if you want a family vacantion, I recommand this place.

The hotel and all their personnel were great! A real pleasure. My only concern is the RCI office right in the lobby and their hard-sell tactics. If I wanted a time share, I'd have bought one long ago and without the hurry up and sign now that RCI uses. The food is always very good and the dinner entertainment three nights a week is wonderful. Not to mention that the drinks are right on! All in all, a really good vacation! I will definately be there again next year!

“Great Value”

My wife and I spent seven nights at the Blue Bay in January of 2008 with another couple and we were all very satisfied with everything. The service people were some of the best we have had in a very large number of vacations that cost a lot more. The food was quite good and everyone could always find something they liked at every meal. We had our anniversary dinner at Oysters and it was more than I would have hoped for if I spent three hundred dollars in Seattle. They brought a card signed by all the staff, a bottle of champagne, and after a fine meal presented us with a large cake that was more than enough for the four of us be a wide margin. The efforts of the wait staff made it one of our most memorable anniversary dinners ever. Vincent at the front desk was also always more than helpful. Drinks were fine and all the staff was eager to please and were readily available. The resort is not in the hotel zone and is beach oriented which is what we all prefer. There were no vendors and only a small attempt was made to sign you up for the "tour" at check in. I don't really know what they were actually selling but offering a free breakfast at an all-inclusive was not very effective for the young lady. It cost about nine dollars for a taxi to town for four people. There would be no real reason to leave if you didn't want to though. We have already recommended this place to friends.

“to far from town”

this hotel was fun and their was lots of things to do. it is more for families with children and not for couples who are on their honeymoon, we miss understood, we did have a great time and the service was great and the staff were very good!! we will go back and take the kids next time! this hotel is too far from town if you are wanting to be close to town this is not your hotel. that was the only downfall.

“Nice people!!”

All the staff was terrific. It was our first trip to Cancun and we will definitely go back.There is still some renovations going on due to the hurricane last year, but any problem we had was quickly fixed. Food was good and the shuttle to the Getaway very convenient. Had a great time.

We enjoyed our trip, the service was good and food was excellent. We went during March 9 to 12th, so it was a bit windy and hard to get to the waters in the beach, overall we liked our trip.

“"Did not want to leave!!"”

From the beginning to the end everyone that worked there was extremely friendly, helpful, and so much fun. It was just my friend and I traveling and although it is a family resort, we still had a blast! All the waiters, bartenders, and hotel staff were always friendly and wanted you to have a good time. The staff that play games with you during the day are also the entertainers for the shows at night, which we thought was really cool. The hotel had plenty to do and kept us entertained. We still went to the hotel zone, but this hotel is about 30 minute away. However, the taxi and bus services are really inexpensive and we had no problems going into the hotel zone. If you have a family and don't want to be in the center of Cancun and the night life this would be a great place for you to stay! We left with friends from the hotel staff and we did not want to leave after a week!! When I go back I would consider staying here again because it was such a great experience! A good place for first time travelers to Cancun.

“Awesome resort!”

Great clean hotel. Staff is awesome. You really get to know all of them. Rooms and hotel very clean. We were even upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite at no charge! They have shows Mon, Wed, & Fri--they were fun. Must eat at the Oysters restaurant--Awesome service & food. ONLY complaint is this hotel is not in the hotel zone so you must take a taxi to town. No buses run. You can take their free shuttle (once an hour) to their sister hotel then catch a bus. No buses run this far down. You cannot walk all of the way down the beach to other hotels like you can other places. Other than that a great place to stay!
