Excellent ExperiencePosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Beautiful rooms and sparkling beach
Best hotel I've ever visited in Cancun. My wife and I very much enjoyed the adult atmosphere, friendly staff, and outstanding pools. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting Cancun. There is reason this hotel has such high marks. I would give it 5 stars in any and every category. A must stay!!

It is really good hotel.Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: I like the service there.
Cons: Have a bathtub in the room.
I like the service of Secrets the Vine. But the only thing is that there is no bathtub in the room. Besides that, everything is perfect.

Beautiful Hotel but ....Posted Mar 9, 2014
I want to say this is a beautiful Hotel . Clean and update . They probrably clean your room in every hour which I like . They have 3 different pools with different charater . If you like to just relax in the pool , they have two pools which you feel relax and if you like to so laps , they do have a big long pool for swimming . I would say I pretty enjoyed it but unfortunately , there have few things I wasn't sure I'm satify about it . 1, I went with 2 couples for the anniversary . And they gave us a two beds room to stay . Come on ! If you are couple or ask for romance ( specially this is not a cheap hotel ) would you enjoy to stay in a room with two beds ? 2, staffs - in gernal , they are trying to be nice .. Why ? A. We arrived to hotel around 4 by feeling tired and hungry. The representive Hugo were trying to introduce us the hotel , the sister hotel , coupon ..... For .... 20 mins ? At the end he was asking me to set up the meeting tomorrow for reivew about this hotel . Really?!!!! Then I told him sorry no , we are exhausted . All the sudden , he said ok with no smile . Black face . I was like . Should I say sorry about it ? Come on . When you pay that much money for attitude ? U have to be ready . Also , they serve customer by how they look . They will bring 4 wiskey to the table if you look rich . I'm a causul person but I'm stupid , you don't bring me just a wine or wiskey by asking me what I like and I saw you serve someone different next to my table

Nice Hotel but not as good as expectedPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: Nice people and nice room services. Dinner is good! Try as many restaurants as you can. Overall condition is nice and new. Security is responsible.
Cons: See the cons above. Breakfast and Lunch's choices are very limited. For the total 7 restaurants, only one open for breakfast and two for lunch.
Location: Jetski,skysailing... You know you should buy tour packages if you are not planning just lying down to get tan and read your books.
In order to be fair, it is overall for sure a nice hotel and we have totally 5 people stay in Vine with 3 rooms for 4 night(2 couples and one single gentleman). In order to benefit all of you who who have considered Vine as an option after long-time eliminating process. Here we write just cons. Here's our summary: 1. The major complaint is about the partial ocean view rooms. It is VERT partial since the Vine is vertical to the beach(most of the hotels are parallel to the beach ) and as such, all the ocean front rooms are for preferred/master suite which are the top rooms with high prices. 2. When you pick the partial ocean view rooms, it is very important to note that it is given as "two double beds OR one king bed" which means one king bed room is not guarantee. We checked in around 3:30pm the first day and we were told no more king bed rooms. After long time requesting a king bed room (even with 20 dollar sneaky tips to the front desk), finally one room with king bed was given with very partial ocean view 3. Be careful to the pictures posted in Expedia. Most of them are for preferred/honey moon suite. And the partial ocean view rooms are not as beautiful as the picture shows Overall, it is a nice hotel but it is not as good as you expected One tip for room selection, pick the one with smaller last two digits. And don't confused with the floor number. 11th floor is actually 4th floor etc. They actually name it a larger number.

Very nice and relaxing hotelPosted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: cleanliness and welcoming staff.
Cons: A few more activities options and evening entertainment.
Location: Mostly in a hotel district but quite convenient to the airport. Will need to catch a bus or taxi to the markets or other shopping/restaurant choices.
Extremely clean and well run. Staff went out of their way to been genuinely friendly and helpful. Food was very good and plentiful at the multiple restaurants and outdoor venues. Many option drink choices and they don't make you feel guilty for trying them all! Not a lot of entertainment, so this is a hotel for relaxing and a peaceful vacation if that's what you are looking for. Modern and almost art deco in ways, this is place the feels comfortable but kind of special at the same time.

Nice hotel terrible food.Posted Feb 24, 2014
The hotel and facilities are nice. The staff were very helpful and polite. Unfortunately dining at the hotel is not enjoyable. We stayed here once before and hoped things would have improved but they hadn't. The food is extremely bland. The cuts of meat are poor quality, and the steaks etc are small. It's too bad because the servers try really hard, though the upsell on the wine is very annoying. We ended up eating off resort on multiple occasions. There are good restaurants in walking distance a block away at the Ritz.

Secrets The VinePosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Everything. The staff was just excellent and always willing to do anything needed to make our stay pleasurable.
Location: Secrets is a short cab ride to downtown Cancun, but we stayed on the resort.
This resort is just excellent. It's an adult-only, all-inclusive resort, and the amenities and food are to die for. They offer free wi-fi if you want to stay connected, several restaurants to appeal to any taste (I'm a vegetarian, and I was never hungry and didn't have to eat the same thing twice in 5 days), and bars with any kind of drink you can think of. There are four different pool areas to choose from with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. There is also a dedicated beach area with service. The rooms are spacious and very modern. The showers have two heads; one rainwater, and one in the wall. The bed was so comfortable, I was able to get good sleep my entire stay. We used the spa two days; I got a chocolate wrap, and my skin was so soft afterward that I couldn't stop feeling it. There are many activities throughout the day if you want to participate, but if you're trying to relax, you can avoid being around them, too. Every night held a different show from magic, to comedy, to live music.

Best resort we have ever stayed at.Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: the staff was phenomenal. Many restaurants and bars. Planned Activities. Cleanliness. Relaxing atmosphere. Everything about the resort.
Cons: don't change a thing
Location: Mall within walking distance.
My wife and I went to Mexico to meet some friends. We stayed at a resort in the Riviera Maya that was not up to our standards. The resort we were at was riddled with issues. We called Expedia and asked to be moved to another resort that we had stayed at previously in Cancun. The next day we went to this resort. It was a Sunday. The management said we did not have a room and must leave. This was despite having a confirmed booking. We called Expedia. They said this we could stay at Secrets. From the moment we arrived at Secrets, we were treated like royalty. Despite the harrowing experiences to get to this resort, the staff jumped through all the hoops to insure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The staff is phenomenal. The rooms are clean and modern. The views are incredible. The food was very good. We have stayed in 7 resorts, and this was hands down the finest resort by far. There was ample activities planned. The beach was well manicured. The gym overlooked the ocean and had modern and clean equipment. The overall atmosphere was relaxing. We were never bothered with time share or promotional people like in other resorts. No attention to detail has been overlooked in this resort. Their is a sports bar, wine bar, coffee bar, pool bar, places to get food anywhere, and a helpful staff in every direction. We highly recommend this resort.
