Babymoon 2014

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: See above. We love this resort.
Cons: The only downside staying this time was that we were on the first floor, room 103-- it was a bit noisy from tables/chairs being moved above/below us.
Location: Lots to do-parasailing, jet ski, excursions. We did the whale shark tour last year and it was amazing! Market/mall shopping minutes down the strip.
Went to Sun Palace in 2011 for our honeymoon, have stayed at 3 other resorts in Cancun since then and NONE compare. It is totally worth the extra money. Went back for our "babymoon" this past week and it was wonderful. The staff are so nice, the room and facility are gorgeous. And the food is unbeatable in comparison to other all inclusives that we have stayed at. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a luxurious vaycay. We just got back 2 days ago, and I'm already wanting to plan our next trip. :)

The BEST STAFF!

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Right on the Cancun beach strip, surf was fun to swim & jump in, food was delicious, hotel entertainment fun and the Mayan Riviera easily accessed.
Cons: Deep tissue massage should be included in the resort credits.
The staff at the Sun Palace did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and fun. The food was excellent.

Still A Winner!!

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: I really like that everyone that works at the resort is very friendly.
Cons: More staff to clean, rake, and pick-up the daily trash from the Beach Areas, not that they were Bad, but, could be improved. Clean all gym equipment
Location: Good Location for a quiet beach
Another successful trip to the Sun Palace. The Resort has been spending money like a Drunk Sailor in order to make serving the 90% occupancy a bit more efficient. New lobby bar, lobby and waiting area Deluxe Furniture, Very good King Bed Toppers for comfort, An upgrade to the Meats including a char-coaled steak Bigger that your Head! Things that you WON'T experience at The Sun Palace: You will never run out of Hot Water for Showers, You will never run out of your favorite Beverage, You will never get sick from their water, ice, or beverages due to bacteria, you will never be without deluxe service anywhere in the resort or Beach. The room air conditioning will always work properly. No Resort is perfect, so don't expect that, however, The basics are all covered to have a really good vacation.

Superb hotel in the Palace Resorts family of hotel

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Everything except location.
Cons: They are doing a fantastic job. Just keep executing the details as they now do so well.
Location: Already covered that.
I can't say enough good things about the hotel itself yet I personally prefer Cozumel Palace on the island of Cozumel. Sun Palace is on the southern end of the Cancun Hotel Zone and there is little around it of interest to tourists other than more hotels. You can take a city bus for one USD one way and get anywhere on Cancun you want to go. So with minimal effort you can plant yourself just about anywhere you want. But again, for me personally, I like the Cozumel setup where you just walk out the front door and you can easily walk to all the island has to offer whether that be Chedraui (think supercenter) across the street or a few short blocks to the downtown shops of San Miguel. If you are just into the pool and the beach then Sun Palace is for you. The hotel staff, food and beverages are excellent and I have nothing but good things to say for the hotel efforts and their results.

Hóspede pode usar toda rede Palace Cancun

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Excelente!

Awesome resort

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Everything. The staff, food, service, cleanliness of the rooms and surrounding lobby and the concierges that helped us with off site activities.
Cons: Check the rooms to see if repairs are necessary.
Location: The resort was right on the beach and across from the bay. There were tours that would require long bus rides, and we were 10 minutes from the airport
The experience was greater than I expected. The beach was well kept and the lounge chairs that were used for the beach and the umbrellas were great. They had concierges for the beach that would help you with moving them onto the beach and setting them up the way you wanted. Then they had waiter service to bring you drinks onto the beach. The infinity pools they had at the resort were absolutely awesome to go into to either just lay there or swim or doing water activities, like volleyball and aerobics and swimming. The events staff for the pool, Edel (Eddie) and Vanessa and two others I can't recall their names were very engaging and friendly. They made the activities fun and enjoyable. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and well done. Especially the in house DJ, Augustine, having karaoke and playing music videos at night. We had a lot of fun with the karaoke. Lastly, but not least, the food. The food at all the restaurants there were absolutely delicious, ranging from the morning breakfast buffet and lunch buffeted then the Mexican restaurant, the Oriental Thai restaurant, the Italian restaurant provided great service and great food by the respective chefs for each location. The Thanksgiving dinner that was made, was well done. Not only did they have the normal Thanksgiving food, turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, but, they also had various cuts of steak and prime rib and Mexican dishes. The managers were very attentive and wanted our feedback while we were there.

Nice hotel but not worth the price.

Posted Nov 30, 2014
The hotel rooms and grounds are excellent, but the all-inclusive is not worth it. The food is repatitve and really poor. The made to order food is at par with a college cafeteria. The hotel is close to airport but further from shops (La Isla mall). The staff is great and all rooms have ocean views, no need to upgrade. Hotel credit is a farce, good for nothing and you pay 16% out of pocket.

Overall it was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Almost everything only because nothing or no one is perfect
Cons: More variety of different cultures in foods - Didn't really enjoy waiting in line for a specific item to be cooked in the buffet area
Location: Location was great - Bus transportation was right next to resort (very convenient)
Great location, very friendly staff, Head Lifeguard - you found the BEST - Amenities were great - Clean - Would recommend to anyone! Your whole staff should be complemented. Thank you for an excellent vacation and we will return!

Small hotel. Limited pool lounging.

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Small. Rooms need repairs. Trouble with plumbing. Only 3 restaurants. Plain looking and did I say small with VERY lkmited entertainment options. The pools are smsll and very crowded. Not very relaxing. On the other hand internet access is excellent, wven from the beautiful beach. Staff is nice but we have had better. Plenty of premium drinks to choose from. Only 3 restaurants.
