Very nice boutique hotel

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The pull-out couch could be better... I mean the pull-out part...
Best experience I ever had in Cancun and Rivierea Maya till now. It is a small hotel, but very client-oriented, from the check-in to the check-out. One can feel the attention to the clients and to the details. Very good if you want a place to relax and unwind. Special mention to Juanita, therapist at the The Beloved Spa: she is the best therapist I ever had (and I tried many...) !

Classy and relaxing vibe!

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: We loved the "total package": light healthy food, gorgeous room, the grounds and vegetation, live music, the quiet beach, and the smiling staff!
Location: The Beloved is 30 minute taxi ride north of Cancun, tucked away on a quiet beach.
From the moment we arrived, the Beloved Hotel projected an aura of sleek class in its architecture, beautiful grounds, and "shmoozy" live music at the Lupita outdoor lounge during the evening and pool-side reggae at lunch. The atmosphere of the breezy outdoor restaurants is in keeping with the quiet waters of the beach and its view of Isla Mujeres. For a relaxing vacation, this it. The hotel clientele is primarily young families and couples, an interesting mix. We were three, including our adult daughter and could see that the calm waters on the beach would be very attractive to families because they can let their little ones frolick in the water given there is no surf or undertow. Our room was a top floor "casita" facing the beach, with the pleasant surprise of a private rooftop jacuzzi overlooking the sea....very nice! I imagine that all the 110 rooms of this small, elegant, spotless hotel are as well decorated as ours. The staff is very, very friendly and always smiling, clearing wanting to please their guests. We were very impressed with their hospitality. Our favourites restaurants were Aroma, El Mar and Isla Grill. You will find an amazing breakfast buffet at Aroma with live piano music to accompany delicious fruit, omelettes, breads, cold cuts, smoked salmon, etc. El Mar is the hotspot for grilled seafood and we loved the creative little plates at Isla Grill for lunch, starting with a cocktail from the pool bar just below! We highly recommend The Beloved!

This Hotel is Amazing!!! Highly recommend it.

Pros: The staff was amazing, they knew our name by the end of the second night. The entertainment provided was great. Beach was beautiful.
Location: The location is a bit far from Cancun. You will probably need to pay a taxi to get over there and that can get to be expensive. Xcaret was great.
Our experience at The Beloved was amazing. All the staff at the resort were very courteous and helpful. The facilities were great, very clean and organized. The restaurants were amazing. Food was delicious, there was something for everyone. My husband and I traveled with our two children, ages 5 and 1, and they loved it. My 5 year old is a picky eater and he always found something he liked. The pools were clean and we frequently saw staff checking the pool. The beach was beautiful, calm waves. The staff at the beach was also very attentive. Always checking to make sure we were okay. The lifeguard Alex was great. He was nice to always find us a place to sit while on the beach. Overall, this place is amazing and I can't wait to return.

Great getaway for couples

Posted Jul 20, 2014
The Beloved Hotel was very relaxing. The condition of the hotel is in excellent shape. The two-story suites are excellent and very private. The manager of the hotel was extremely nice and twice sent us special gifts for being cordial and providing him feedback of the hotel. The hotel is great for a couples getaway where you don't have to do anything but lay around and enjoy the sun and drinks.

Value not there

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The junior suite room is very large , clean, well air-conditioned and comfortable.
Cons: The food! the portions and the flavor
Location: It is fairly isolated . The sister hotel next door is the excellence , by appearance the beloved looks like the poor and lacking. No entertainment.
The junior suite room we stayed in was very large, comfortable, clean and well air-conditioned . The pools are nice. However that was just about the best part the rest was a major disappointment. The hotel is all inclusive but you are expected to tip, tip, tip non stop. The food is terrible and comes in very small"gourmet" looking dishes that lack flavor but are laden with oil and sugar. The only meal that is buffet style is breakfast which is actually good. You pay extra for transfers from and to the airport. The landscaping is poor and the white concrete and sand reflect the heat and make the summer high temperature feel so much warmer. Shortly, you would be better off spending your money elsewhere.

Cons: more stuff to do for guest and understanding the guest food orders.
Location: nothing to do near by

Outstanding hotel!

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: We liked everything about the Beloved, especially its boutique size (compared to its sister hotel Excellence next door).
Cons: Nothing at the Beloved needs to be improved. It is all superb.
Location: Location is great. We never even wanted to leave the property, it's all there!
When the bell captain, Christian, took us to our room, what was supposed to be an oceanview junior suite, we were disappointed; to say it was oceanview was quite a stretch. Christian then and there arranged for us to be moved to a new room the following day. That room indeed had a wonderful oceanview and view of the property. From then on, everything at the Beloved was terrific. The restaurants are excellent, ranging from the elegant Lupita, to the more casual El Mar on the beach. The services provided by all staff are outstanding. The guest services manager, Patricio, even stopped by on the beach one day, addressed me by name, and asked if everything was okay! The live music in the open air Lupita Lounge in the evening was wonderful. The Beloved rooms, grounds, restaurants, and facilities are all immaculate. We stayed there for five nights from June 21 to 26. Everything was excellent, and we definitely will return!

Beautiful hotel with excellent service

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Service, service, service. And that you could always get a sunbed or day bed - in fact the hotel appeared empty some days but apparently was 95% full
Cons: Food menu's were a little bit samey. Would be nice if they had a menu rotation so you could pick different things different days.
Location: Beautiful clear waters and lovely beach.
My wife and I had a great stay for 5 nights at the Beloved. The hotel is beautiful and really luxurious. But what made it for me were the staff. They literally couldn't do any more! I've been to fancy hotels before and at the end of the day it all comes down to the service. Special thanks to Alex who made sure I was fully hydrated during the day - he'd come and find me whether I was sitting around my pool, around the one of the main pools or on the beach with a beer or coke. Genuinely nice people and we'll be sure to come back.
