Horrible Customer Service with Dirty RoomsPosted Dec 16, 2014
Location: Nothing around hotel.
I wish I could offer them zero start if expedia let me. Hotel staffs are unkind and they do not know what they are dealing with. I do not understand how this horrible resort obtained 5 starts. Paid for upgrade (couple hundred dollars per night extra) for upgraded suites but there is no difference with regualr deluxe room. (Just extra space in terrace) Hotel rooms are full of new paint smell and hotel is not offerring any other room. Whatever you do, do not stay in this hotel. This place is a joke.

Quiet, Peaceful and Family FreindlyPosted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Its like living a serene life in a gorgeous location.
Cons: 1. Towel access near the beach as well. 2. More variety of Mexican cuisine. Vareity at the restaurant , change up the menu a bit everyday.
Location: Beach , kids zone, parasailing, boating, kayaking , isla mujeres, Xcarret, Chichen Itza
We were very pleased with our stay at the Beloved hotel. The hotel is in Isla Mujeres and not in the Hotel Zone in Cancun. The hotel grounds are very well maintained , the rooms are very spacious , we especially loved the extra chaise in the balcony which serves as a great place to rest after a day at the beach. The food was good and a great mix of international food. We did miss the authenticity of the Mexican Cuisine a bit, but the staff were quick to provide food that wasn't on the menu either. The staff at the hotel are excellent and went out of the way to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The beach is clean , wasn't crowded at all and had plenty of beach chairs to relax. The infinity pool though small is suffecient. The bar was well stocked and the bartenders and the drinks did not skimp on the alcohol. The in room mini bar was well stocked and replenished daily. The Housekeeping was also exceptional. There is evening music in the vernadah and usually a great place to relax after dinner with a drink. We used the spa and the massage there was one of the finest we have had. The Kids pool is wonderful and our 2 year old daughter had a great time! The few minor things we think can be improved are 1. Towel access near the beach as well. Sometimes we had to walk all the way back to the kids section to get the beach towels. 2. More variety of Mexican cuisine and vareity at the restaurants. After 3 days we felt we were eating the same stuff sometimes :)

Best Thing Next To HeavenPosted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: The hotel is clean, low keyed and well maintained. It exudes relaxation. This was my third trip to The Beloved and I can't wait to go back.
Cons: Lounges on the beach and at the swim up rooms could use thicker cushions for better comfort. Mattress toppers are a great comfort on your bed.
This hotel concentrates on customer service. The friendliness and courtesy that is shown is second to none. The staff caters to your needs at all times. A special thanks to Conception, Cristian, Abraham, Felix, Laura and so many more that I can not remember.

This Literally Was the BEST Vacation Ever!Posted Dec 9, 2014
I wanted for nothing because they thought of everything beforehand! First, the resort is JUST like the pictures. Everything is immaculate, clean, and well maintained. Everywhere I looked 'classy', 'clean', and 'romance' popped into my head. Whether I was in my personal plunge pool, group pool, dining, lounging or spa I thought, "This is sexy". Second, the staff was great! Every person I passed said hello even if it was in Spanish. There were no corners cut in service, cleaning, maintenance, or special requests. I felt happy to tip even though I didn't have too. The staff seemed happy to perform thier jobs no matter what it was. I haven't experienced that in decades here in the states, but I digress. This was truly service with a smile. Third, my birthday acknowledgement was above and beyond. My boyfriend requested a delightful afternoon birthday cake, fruit, and champagne, and then a cabana on the beach at sunset with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Both were very sweet and a pleasant surprise. But when we went to dinner we were escorted to a beautiful table with heart-shaped rose petals, a specialty wine, and lobster and steak dinner. Afterwards our waiter prepared tableside the Mayan coffee. Let's say that was a day to remember! Lastly, the ambience was spot on! This place is serene with a 90 percent calm environment. There were no loud college kids, gang of kids, or a mass of onlookers. This city girl's vacation must be the opposite of that.

GorgeousPosted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: the service, the food, and the amenities
Cons: The resort shuts down a bit early- around 11 pm - but the one night we stayed out the staff allowed us to stay in the lounge after closing the bar.
This hotel is everything- the service was perfect, the food was amazing, and the room was absolutely gorgeous. We never wanted to leave, and often had trouble deciding if we even wanted to leave the room. The beach is gorgeous and the amount of amenities was unmatched. We had a great time and will absolutely be back. The only downside to our entire vacation was that there was quite a bit of seaweed washed up on the beach, but that is obviously not the resort's fault, and they constantly had workers out raking it up and bulldozing it over to keep the beach looking nice. I think that was just the time of year we went, though (december 2014), because in pictures other guests had the seaweed was not there. If you do end up with a lot of seaweed on the beach, no worries- the resort pools are gorgeous, or you can just rent a catamaran and go across the water to Isla Mujeres- we spent a wonderful afternoon swimming on the clean island beaches. I highly, highly recommend this resort!

This was our second trip to the Beloved; we enjoyed our first stay so much we decided to go back and it was even better the second time! I especially loved the all-vegetarian menu option at Lupita, the incredible couples massage my husband and I indulged in, the excellent gym, and of course the beach! The room we stayed in (one of the casitas with the private pool) was just incredible and could not possibly have been better. My only very minor suggestion for improvement is that the main pools are just a touch too cold for my liking; both times we've traveled there (in March and then in November) I've had a hard time staying in the pools for more than a few minutes because they're just a bit too chilly for me. I usually end up just hanging out in the hot tub instead. But that's a very minor concern - overall I absolutely adored our time there and we look forward to coming back in a few years and bringing our two children next time!

Pros: honestly, everything
Cons: we were disappointed with the ocean. tons of seaweed and the water smelled like fishy sewage. also had trash in it
Location: we never left the property, but not a far drive from airport and downtown cancun
