Nice hotel with excellent staff close to beach

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Great ocean views and beachfront space!
Cons: More food options.
Our first time in Cancun and it was wonderful. Although this hotel is not the newest, the staff do an excellent keeping it clean and they have a great attitude! It is a large resort, but they have an adequate amount of pool space and chairs, and adequate beach umbrellas and chairs available as well. Truly enjoyed ourselves and will go again!

Nice Hotel on the Beach

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Very clean and well maintained
Cons: Have tools for adjusting the bicycle seats
Location: The beach is right there. The Mayan Museum is right in front on the main road, the airport is 10km away so even in a shared van you're the first stop.
I found the Royal Caribbean to be a nice hotel and well suited to people that like to hang out at their hotel or take packaged tours, neither of which is a fit for the way I do things. But with the combination of restaurants, bars, pools and stores you can just hang out there in comfort. They have free bicycle available, but the seat height is not adjustable without tools and they don't seem to have tools so it was a bit weird to ride a bike set up for someone under 6 feet tall. If you want to explore nearby sites you can book a variety of tours right from the hotel or you can walk out to the street and catch the local bus for less than $1 USD to the Cancun bus station. Nicde place at a reasonable price.

Close to beach

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Cons: Expedia gave me the rate for TWO people even though we specified THREE. So we ended up getting charged extra person fee, which is unpleasant surprise.
Location: In hotel convenience store. Also an Oxxo and some other convenience store on other side of main road. You can take bus to go to downtown.
Pros: Right next to beach I thought the architecture was nice Cons: Front entrance is not right next to the main road but is some distance up.

Very nice resort on the beach.

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly stuff, food, rooms
Location: On the beach, golf, swimming with dolphins, parasailing, kayaking, tennis, shopping in several high end malls.
This hotel it is like home. Stuff very friendly and helpful. Very good place to bring family with small kids. There is 5 pools on the properties and one is specific for kids. Beach is specific for only this hotel, therefore it is a lot of space. You do not have to reserve your spot early morning. Restaurant has every night different team buffet ( fajitas, taco, pasta, lobster, BBQ) all you can eat, or you can order from menu. Coffee shop has Italian gelato, hotel supermarket has big selection of groceries, wines, beers etc. Once you check in you can stay on the grounds and relax. There is golf course near by, water park about 15 min away from resort. I recommend this place to anybody who is looking for slow, relaxing place or like some activities.

Royal Carribean rooms old & dated and hidden traps

Posted Sep 18, 2014
The Royal Carribean is a very large resort right on the beach withbeautiful pools and surrounds. However the rooms are very old and dated, the sheets were old and worn and rooms needed an update and some tender loving care. BEWARE of the hidden traps! There is nothing mentioned in the booking process however you cannot use cash anywhere, and you cant use your credit card anywhere in the resort. You must use the charge card they provide you with and charge everything to your room. The property is know when you shop ing centres or anything so you need to get a bus or taxi to the shopping centres

Clean place didn't like the room change on Saturday due to time share.food not good by pool bar and to get service on the beach no initiative at all.store food choices were good but pricey. Enjoyed the unit and beach but considering all the choices in Cancun really can't recommend the royal carribean. Cherry in concierge, hellario and perfecto both bellmen were very polite and a pleasure to meet.

A nice resort to stay at for first time to Cancun.

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: It had a nice little grocery store at the resort, a place for breakfast overlooking the pool and the beach was wonderful.
Cons: Wish there was a section of the beach that was softly lit if anyone who wanted to sit out at night with their feet in the sand. It would get very dark
Location: Walking distance to other restaurants, a short bus ride to the mall and downtown Cancun, And there is a Walmart.
First time to Cancun. Weather was great and the water was beautiful. We were there from June 9th - 14th. It only rained one day and that was on the second to last day of our stay. Wonderful experience!

Right on the beach

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Cons: Lowered prices for the restaurants so that it brings the overall cost of the trip down.
We had a wonderful stay. This was our second time in Mexico, but our first time here. I know that every time I do come back to Cancun I will be staying at this hotel. The room was big and gorgeous, minutes away from the beach, view that overlooked the ocean, kitchen, and most important very clean. An added bonus during the month of July female turtles come and lay their eggs. This hotel is the only one that I saw that has an around the clock staff watching to see if any turtles came and laid their eggs, if in the process of laying their eggs they make sure that people are far away and not taking pictures. In the morning they dig up the eggs and place them in a fenced off section so that we do not destroy them. Final note this is a very kid friendly hotel as well with many activities for them to do. (age 4 and up)

The most beautiful experience in Cancun

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Hotel room, pools, gardens. The beach was beautiful at that place. Internet connection fast and free. Agreement with other hotels
Cons: Nothing
Location: Many restaurants and discos going North
I was completely satisfied by this hotel. I got a suite for my wife, two children, and me for an excellent price. It had one King bed and two retractable beds in the living room. The kitchen was fully equipped. The suite was located in the first floor, had a balcony and direct access to the pool. The internet connection was free and excellent. There were few parking places but I could get one every time. The hotel had several pools, and the water temperature was perfect. The beach was wonderful, and there was a bar from the hotel on the beach. There was agreement with other hotels, I went to the Royal Islander and the Royal Sands and paid the expenses with my room key. There were many things to do, like free bicycles, tennis court, yoga classes, painting lessons for kids, and so on, but I did not have time to enjoy them. I would love to come back to his place for more days next year.
