“Wonderful!!!”

We had a wonderful time in Cancun, Mexico. We loved staying at the Royal Mayan. The facility was beautiful. We thoroughly loved our villa, it was huge, clean and the decor rich with traditional Mayan design. The two room villas were perfect for my husband and I, traveling with our two teenaged kids. We appreciated the privacy of two separate bedrooms with separate bathrooms and a kitchen, dining room and living area to come together in. All the staff were incredibly friendly, courteous and professional. We also really enjoyed visiting the other Royal facilities and experiencing their ammenities as well. It was an added blessing to have free shuttle transportation to and from the other Royal facilities. We ate at several different Royal Resort restaurants and the food was incredible at every one. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

“Treated Like Royals at the Royal Mayan”

Loved our time spent here. Will definitely return again. The Royal Mayan is more of a time-share than a hotel, which was great for us because it felt like home, with a full kitchen and living room area. Everything was impeccably clean and comfortable. Always felt safe and really enjoyed the pool restaurant - reasonable prices and good food without having to go very far at all.

“The best in cancun”

I stayed at the Royal Mayan 25 hrs ago, and it is just as great now as it was then. All the staff was great. Marco with bell services was there for all our needs. Our maid for room E116 week 13 did a amazing job of cleaning our room every day.

“A great place in Cancun”

We decided to spend our Christmas vacation in Cancun.We had never been there before, so we researched various packages for the 10 days we wanted to stay. We opted for a package with a flight from our hometown, directly to Cancun, with a resort that looked nice from the pictures. We also ordered some food and drinks from the resort market, which was to be in our kichen when we arrived. We had never tried that before with any previous vacation.Our flight was smooth and we arrived to find our shuttle waiting for us just outside the airport as they had said. Thomas More Travel lived up to thier promises, a short ride to the Royal Mayan and we were at the check in.Everything went smoothly, our bags were brought to our room and our groceries were all there on the kitchen counter. What a great start to a nice holiday. We used all the facilites at the resorts and found everyone to be friendly and helpful.A trip to Chichen Itza was all arranged by our concierge, and it was a great experience with first class service through Thomas More at the resort.The restauarants had varied menus, and some theme nights which were quite nice.We used the free resort shuttle to go to the other Royal resorts and were able to use their facilites as well, for some great choices of restaurants and pools. All in all, I would not hestitate to recommend this resort to our travelling family or friends, and we will definitely return there in the near future.

“Paradise in Cancun”

The Royal Mayan is a beautiful property, we already plan on returning next year! The floorplan is perfect for our family of teenages( they get one side and we had the other) and everything is spotless...

“great hotel, small room issue though”

The standard room is the "added" room when you book a suite. The photo on expedia shows a large balcony w/ chairs and a table. That is in the suite next door. The balcony is closed off to the smaller room w/ doors and shutters so you can't even look out. The balcony that goes w/ the small room is not even big enough for a chair. I did like the hotel and the service but the picture was misleading so I wanted to make sure to comment on it. Wonderful pina coladas and the pool bar is awesome! Absolutely loved the amenities offered. Be sure to go to the area where you get towels and check out the other things that are included w/ your room. (like a sailboat, snorkeling gear, bicycles, cards..all included w/ your room!) Be sure to hit happy hour in the pool bar on a full stomach. Drinking heavy drinks in water in the heat will get you really drunk really fast if you don't eat first!

“Best in Cancun”

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this resort. You won't find cleaner or nicer place in Cancun. The service was 5 star, as are the amenities. Lots of free or nearly free stuff, towels, snorkel equipment, bikes, tennis. Grocery store on site. Can use the adjoining resorts with your club card, so it is like 3 resorts in one (actually 4 if you want to take a shuttle to the Royal Sands down the street). You won't be bored with the same pool every day. Also many restaurants to choose from, along with take out to your room if you wish. Food is great. Just one caveat, if you stay over a Saturday, this is a timeshare set up, so you will be asked to move rooms and be out of your room for several hours on Sat. while it is being cleaned. I was moved, but my room was not clean yet. This is not a big deal unless it is raining! I also recommend the Thomas More travel shuttle to/from the airport. Only $20 round trip.

“New Favorite Resort in Mexico”

We had a great vacation at The Royal Mayan. The service and accomodations were great. Very impressed with the condition of the resort, nicely landscaped, very clean and in excellent condition. We enjoyed the great beach and the resort pools. Some of the best meals we had in Cancun were at the Royal Resorts restaurants - had a great seafood dinner at the Captain's Cove. Would definately stay at The Royal Mayan again.
