Just what you would expect for the pricePosted Mar 7, 2014
Great staff. Breakfast is just some fruit and toast. This hotel is not close to any beaches. you must rent a golf cart at downtown Isla mujeres. or use a taxi.

Nice hotel, but no beach to swim.Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Looks so nice from outside they have a nice reception, I liked the furniture , the way they separate the bed from the rest part of the room.
Cons: The noise coming from the air conditioner.
Location: If you don't like the beach for swimming the location is perfect, quiet, love the palm trees there. You can't do much there except go for walks.
The villas coco resort is a nice hotel, it has beautiful furniture, a nice king size bed, the closets doors and the bathroom door were so nice a nice wood doors. I love the fact that the sheets, pillowcases and towels they were so clean, they smell like fresh laundry and bleach. But sometimes they forget to put new towels in the room. I don't think that they change our sheets we stay 5 days and I notice there was some sand on the bed the third day from our stayed there. We were so please with Carlos the manager, he was so helpful all the time, he gave us some many rides on the hotel golf cart ! About the beach they have a rocky beach, you can't swim because the rocks in the water and there was no sand on the beach either but rocky sand. I think if the make the beach good for swimming it will be the perfect place to stay, specially if you looking for a quiet place! We had to take a taxi every time we want to go to the beach. The last day we rent a golf cart and we had a lot fun! I loved the fruits they gave you for breakfast. The air conditioner makes noises all night long.

Amazing Hotel, Secluded, A little out of the wayPosted Jan 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for two days at the end of our trip. The service was great, the front desk staff all know your name and are great at setting up trips if you talk to them. The rooms are big and clean. The location is a little out of the way, but it's really nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Also, the area surrounding the hotel is all residential housing.. so no walking to restaurants.. but the hotel has a bar thats open 24 hours.. so you can go out to eat and come back and relax with a beer by the pool or take a short walk to the beach. If you are there for more than 2 days, you can rent a golf cart from the hotel and save $$ on cabs. If you do take a cab, its usually only 78 pesos to go to centro (downtown). I highly recommend this hotel!!

Super quality, comfortable, clean, quiet, secludedPosted Jun 29, 2013
Pros: The landscape was beautiful, the rooms very comfortable and the setting very relaxing.
Location: Within walking distance of both sides of the island and close to the Garrafon Reef park with amazing views of tropical fish while snorkeling.
This hotel has all the modern updates and amenities, but is secluded and off-the-beaten path. It is within walking distance of great beaches for snorkeling and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooftop is beautiful and the pool and grounds are nicely landscaped. It is a great place to unwind and relax, without all the noise and busyness of the more popular resorts in the area. Located on the south end of the island, you will need to hire a taxi to get to town for shopping, but the hotel does provide transportation via golf cart for short trips to the beach or nearby restaurants. We were very satisfied with the service and the atmosphere.

ISla.....Posted Jun 14, 2013
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful, we had the place to ourselves being the low season and it was perfect.
Location: Its a bit off the beaten path , but quiet and comfortable.
Found the hotel to be very clean comfortable and the staff was very helpful, although we were the only guests at the property for the week, we were always made comfortable and our needs were met. The location is remote but the peacefulness is welcomed compared to the hustle and bustle of the center of town, having a golf cart was necessary with the location on theisland, when they say rainy season, believe it...torrential downpours flood the streets quickly. The Beach Club was beautiful and also deserted. the staff there was helpful as well , the cerviche was great...i was very pleased...

DisappointingPosted Mar 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is nice but service is pretty bad. They let you wait before taking care of you. The room was noisy all night (continuous water noises) but big. TV was not working well and was a small old TV (not the 27 inches flat screen from their ad).

Hidden OasisPosted Feb 25, 2013
Pros: Quiet and friendly staff and guests
Location: Beautiful location but a little far from town to walk with groceries
We had a wonderful experience here. What a beautiful oasis. Be sure to check out the view from the roof-top terrace. The staff was extremely helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was delightful. We will definitely be back! This is a very relaxed location. You will probably want to rent a scooter or golf cart. There are plenty of places to walk, and the island has great sidewalks, but you will have fun exploring this gem on some wheels.

Many issues herePosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The airconditioner didn't work and neither did the water. We're not huge on a/c but water is essential so they moved us to the adjacent room (connecting door) where the airconditioner worked but the bathroom wasn't finished - there was no working toilet or shower. Eventually the water came back on and so we were able to go back to the old room to shower but then it ran out - in the middle of my shower! The young man at the front desk was very sweet but that didn't make up for the other major issues. The surrounding area was okay, but a bit in the middle of nowhere. Overall, there was no ambiance or feeling to the place at all. The rooms were non-descript. We chose this place because the price was right but in the end, it wasn't worth it.

Bad choice on Isla MujeresPosted Dec 18, 2012
Cons: breakfast, "garden", staff
no garden as marketed on the website, instead of continental breakfast we just received 2 pieces of toast bread and a little bit (literally) of fruits. there is nothing in the nearby area, you have to get a cab to go anywhere, even to eat or to buy water.
