Zoetry - more like a 2 star Hotel with no beach

Pros: Not much
Cons: - Sewage problem (poop smell) - hotel rooms were falling apart and mickey moused together - Showers never worked - Better food
Location: The snorkeling down the road was horrible, the golf carts are fun but only one place is worth going to which is the beach at the north of the island
We came to Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres Cancun for 7 days and really only got a 3 day vacation as we had so much trouble in the first 3 days we wanted to leave. We left 1 day early it was that bad. DO NOT STAY HERE I am going to try to do a pros and cons list for you to make it easier to understand. Pros: - Staff is very friendly and helpful (they wanted to make your stay nice) especially the manager of the hotel Marco - Grounds were nicely kept - Beautiful views Cons: - We arrived and got put into a room the smelled like sewage. my wife instantly complained and we moved rooms - Our new room also smelled like sewage and we were told no rooms were available right now but they will fix the smell while we were at dinner. We came back to a room filled with the chemicals so bad that it made it hard to breath. Some Orange cleaner, it was horrible. We had to air out our room for over an hour and WE MOPPED the floors with towels to get the rid of the horrid smell - the next morning day 3 it smelled like sewage again which we decided we had to move again and all of a sudden the pumped orange into the rooms through the air conditioner ducts - Our clothes and suitcases still smell like sewage which we had to bring to the cleaners. That means particulates blew into our room from sewage and covered all of our clothes and bags as well as breathing it in.

Great getaway

Everything on the resort and island are top notch. The ability of the staff to meet all needs show in their customer service. The resort also does a great job ensuring your boat, cab, etc are always right on time.

One of a kind

Pros: The staff is the best part, genuinely warm, friendly and fun. Many still there from our visit six years prior, before it had the Zoetry logo.
Cons: One dull note: immediate upon arrival, the Zoetry rep pushing a package deal to all the Zoetry resorts.
Villa Rolandi is a gem. Luxurious, with personality and charm, on a small scale, separated by blue water from the nuttiness of Cancun. Two fabulous restaurants. And now it's all inclusive which is so nice.

Great place to unplug from work!

Pros: Staff, food, location, ambiance.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Golf cart ride around island, Richard Sowa's floating island, swim, snorkel, relax.
Zoetry was great. Small number of rooms so not crowded with people, nice pools and pool area, wonderful staff, great food, clean. Quiet, attention paid to the details. Definitely will return next year!

Very Small, Very Special Place

Pros: The boat ride was nice. Food was very good. Drinks where good especially from the bar. View from the room is beautiful. Room service menu was great.
Cons: I have been to most of the Zoetry properties. They need a bar with a casual sitting area off the pool deck or buy the new restaurant. Spa was sub par.
Location: This hotel is away from everything. The only thing to do is to relax, eat wonderful food, and soak up the sun!
Zoetry got this right. They are accumulating very special properties. This was different from all the others that I have visited. The one thing that I expect form there resorts was great food, drinks, service, and relaxation. This is what there resorts are about! They nailed it.

A different concept. One of a kind resort.

Pros: The service. There was no request the staff would say No to. We were incredibly pleased. And the small ambiance without the crowdedness :)
Cons: They pushed their "Frequent Flyer" Program down are throats. Several times we politely declined to attend the brief, but they were very persistent.
Location: About 20 minutes away from Cancun by boat. We rented a golf cart for about $60 a day and explored the whole Island. Ixchel temple is a must see!
The resort compared to the other 300+ choices in Cancun is rather small, but it lacks NOTHING. It offers ALL the amenities of the "All inclusive" resort except they are tailored to YOUR liking. Zoetry Casa Rolandi Can accommodate this because they only have 38 guestrooms. All 38 exquisitely decorated and comfortable and with Ocean Views, most of them with a Jacuzzi on their balcony. And is packed with an ARMY of well polished, polite, and friendly STAFF. Who will move heaven and earth to accommodate their guests and their requests. I.E. During my stay I attended the yoga classes on the breathtaking yoga deck on the beach. The schedule changed and the yoga instructor did not get the memo. I notified the hotel staff. Lydia on the front desk apologized and asked me if I would like to participate on another yoga class at a different time, I accepted. She called the Yoga Institute in Isla Mujeres and set up a private class for me at later time with another Yoga Instructor. Needless to say I was a happy camper, a relaxed happy camper. Two bars and Two restaurants, all the food is cooked to order. All delicious, Casa Rolandi restaurant takes a while. We went to Le Mettisage for dinner every night cause it was just out of this world delicious. The in-room food service is fantastic. Timely and varied menus, and food always fresh and in good temperature. I loved that the service extended to the pool and the beach, not just drinks, food too. We felt so spoiled and relaxed. SUPERB STAY!

Wonderful boutique hotel by the water.

Pros: The french/mexican fusion evening restaurant was exceptional. Tasting menu varied each evening with each item being absolutely delicious.
Location: The Dolphin park is nearly adjacent to the Resort. Getting to the downtown area is a quick taxi trip with great restaurants. North Short is great.
The setting was beautiful. The staff was amazing and the food was fabulous.

Fantastic all-inclusive

Pros: See above.
Cons: Hot tub in our room didn't work, which didnt really matter and the gym was pretty pathetic.
Location: Hotel has two infinity pools, large hot tub, nice private (but small) beach, a very small bar, and two excellent restaurants.
Experience was first-rate in all aspects. Great location. Excellent facilities other than gym. Fantastic all-around service and truly amazing food.
