If your requirement is for simple, no frills, low budget accommodation, this inn is for you. Check-in was effortless. Room was pleasantly appointed and clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. We didn't get many extras, but for what we paid, we received good value for dollar. We were in Canmore to enjoy the outdoors for the most part and just needed a place to rest our heads. This inn was perfect for our needs.

This was my first time travelling with my dog and I was a little iffy about what the quality of my room would be like, knowing that it would be a room that was specifically assigned for those travelling with pets. However, I was blown away when I entered my room. Having a ground level suite was so convenient and I had the corner suite so I had a wrap-around patio. The suite was modern and well-decorated. Took advantage of the full kitchen and fireplace. I absolutely loved the soaker tub and the bed was comfy, although I was not too fond of the pillows. The suite was very clean other than a few remnants of dog hairs on the couch, but the suite did not have the "dog smell" that I was fearing. Area-wise it's not too far from downtown and it's an easy 15-20 minute walk. Having underground parking was very convenient. I didn't get to try the hot tub or any of the restaurants at the lodge, but will definitely be back to try them out.

Hotel suite was bigger than my own apartment. It's really big. It has a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room with fireplace, a den and a master bedroom. Not to mention the balcony with barbecue place. My wife actually thinks it's too big, but I think it's great.
