Magnificent Majestic!!!

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: All the above
Cons: Nothing
Location: Shopping - beach - restaurants what more can one ask for!!
We have been travelling to Cannes a lot this last year, and have tried a few of the major hotels on Le Croisette!! Without a question this is by far superior, in everyway it excels the others. The staff are so accommodating, from the lovely guys who look after your car to front of house to housekeeping. The restaurants also are first class, and would recommend, particularly 'Le Petit Maison'. It will always be my first choice to stay at The Majestic Barrieres, I can't think of anywhere else I would rather stay.

Nice hotel. $$

Posted Oct 3, 2014
The rates for the hotel were reasonable for Cannes. Just watch out for the add on costs like having to pay for wifi. Water bottle from the mini bar at 9 Euro. We also stayed away from the bar and restaurant due to high prices. There are many more reasonably priced restaurants and bars nearby. Hotel was clean, comfortable and easy access to Cannes.

Fancy expensive hotel

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Only the location in the heart of La Croisette and the staff
Cons: Rooms
Location: Everything, it is near all the action in La Croisette and the shopping area
We stayed for couple days to chill and relax. We thought the room would be "superior" but nothing superior about it, the city view is looking at old buildings and the air ducts on the roof, awful view. The staff were very professional and helpful. The hotel is too expensive, internet is highly chargeable, renting a bed at the beach costs a fortune, swimming pool only has beds for rent for another fortune and the pool size is too small, don't beleive the pictures, everything costs a fortune and you only pay for sleeping. The room we thought was superior but it was very small and TV was not working quite well, you see a lot of scratches on the room walls but the bathroom was really good, we didn't feel comfortable at the room. If you don't like swimming in cold water and you don't get a good room with sea view don't stay there. However, they gave us access to Sauna, Steam Room, and the small Gym for free, which was ok

One of the best five star hotels I've stayed in

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Beautiful hotel, very friendly helpful staff, beautiful private beach and three amazing restaurants. Everything does come at a cost, such as wifi and use of the private beach sunbeds, but it was an exceptional hotel. Glamorous events and many different areas to utilise.

Nice hotel, good location but expensive!

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Staff service was very good
Cons: Some of the rooms were a bit out-dated & in need to a re-furb. I would expect Wi-Fi to be complimentary
Location: Good location near the harbour, beach, shops and restaraunts
Initially given a room where we couldn't open one of the wardrobes, the TV didn't work and the shower ceiling had peeling paint. Was upgraded to a bigger room (staff were very understanding). This hotel is very expensive, and very little is complimentary which was very surprising. Breakfast is 40 Euros per person, WiFi is 15 euros per night and a beach lounger was 42 Euros for a day! - not even the hotel pool had free sun loungers - they were only marginally cheaper. 20 Euros for a beer also. So.. if you can afford a hotel with additional luxuries, then this is nice, but if you are wanting to pay more and get a better overall experience, this is not the place for you, as you are paying for the name here.

it's over

I was quiet busy with my friends, therefore not all had been seen. Therefore I could not confirm the entire quality for the facilities. Whatever have been tried left the good impression: room, personnel, speed of reaction on different requests. The onliest exception was not hot dinner delivered to the room.

Pricey Paradise on the Riviera

Posted Jul 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Check in was sloppy and charged my credit card as opposed to putting a hold as per usual. Resolved quickly and room upgraded to partial sea view. Breakfast is great, pay for it to be included. Beach is good but the charges for a bed are ridiculous, be prepared to spend €35pp at least. Beach food is good but again overpriced... comes with the territory. Location, concierge, staff, cars outside are excellent. Highly recommended for a long weekend!

Luxury Hotel close to beach

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The rooms were very clean and the bathroom accessories were very useful (e.g.. orange stick ).
Cons: More vegetarian options at meal times and better key system.
As 5 star hotels go this is one of the better ones. However, the credit card key system failed to work on the first day which meant going to reception to get a new one. The lifts are rather small so if there are more than 4 of you with luggage you will have to split up.
