Pros: Staff service was very good
Cons: Some of the rooms were a bit out-dated & in need to a re-furb. I would expect Wi-Fi to be complimentary
Location: Good location near the harbour, beach, shops and restaraunts
Initially given a room where we couldn't open one of the wardrobes, the TV didn't work and the shower ceiling had peeling paint. Was upgraded to a bigger room (staff were very understanding). This hotel is very expensive, and very little is complimentary which was very surprising. Breakfast is 40 Euros per person, WiFi is 15 euros per night and a beach lounger was 42 Euros for a day! - not even the hotel pool had free sun loungers - they were only marginally cheaper. 20 Euros for a beer also. So.. if you can afford a hotel with additional luxuries, then this is nice, but if you are wanting to pay more and get a better overall experience, this is not the place for you, as you are paying for the name here.

Pros: The rooms were very clean and the bathroom accessories were very useful (e.g.. orange stick ).
Cons: More vegetarian options at meal times and better key system.
As 5 star hotels go this is one of the better ones. However, the credit card key system failed to work on the first day which meant going to reception to get a new one. The lifts are rather small so if there are more than 4 of you with luggage you will have to split up.

we were given a small for two where a bed has to move on the other side to open wardrobe doors ..... window was facing a roof top with rubble and equipments.... when we phoned the reception to move our room we were told hotel is full and the put the phone down.... we were not taken round to our room where as other residents were taken around to the hotel and to there room by the staff.... i went down to the reception to complain about the room ... a gentleman was there and i explained to him he was polite and courteous as listened to me and check and he allocated to a bigger room and good view nearly sea front... my first impression is not good as we were not treated as good as others

Although a beautiful hotel, we were disappointed with a few things. Check in was slow, staff not sure what they were doing, double charged our bond and it took a while to refund it as not sure of processes. Tv remote was out of battery - took 2 visits from tech support and reception to fix it Movies on demand not connected - took 4 visits, 3 phone calls and 1 hr to fix it After 9 interruptions within the first 2 hours we were a little put off. Stayed in for room service - very $ but is expected, generous servings and food was nice. Breakfast was a great buffet, however service was slow and painful, whilst tables around us were attended to we did not have our plates cleared the whole time... table was full of dirty plates and glassware whilst trying to enjoy more trips to the buffet - champagne helped. On check out we were charged twice for our room, once by expedia and then again by hotel. Was only whilst waiting for car to be brought up, i checked the receipt and saw our double charge. Took up to 30 mins to have it sorted and reversed and a mumbled apology. All in all, if it was summer and i was paying full rates, i would be very unhappy. The hotel is lovely, but the staff and service needs improving.
