The room was not clean (hair on the floor and wall) when I checked in. Food was below standard I would say, compared to my past experience staying in the hotel.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I used to come here about ten years ago, and loved it. Now EVERYTHING is awful! Ceiling leaking, restaurant is a joke, air conditioning does not work, and the hotel itself needs to be totally remodeled/rebuilt. It looks like 2 star hotel, and Ibis down the road (same Accord chain) is MUCH BETTER, for 1/3 of the price. Just a really awful hotel...

The area near Sophia Antipolis is beautiful with much to do! The buidling is modern and secure. We were welcomed at the front door by staff who provided an easy checkin. When we arrived to our room the air conditioner was not working but they quickly assigned us to a new room where everything ran perfectly. The room was basic but had everything you need including complimentary water. They do have a big eating area that was well decorated but it is extra and we decided to go elsewhere. The pool closes early around dinner time so my kids were disappointed but it looked nice! Overall we would stay here again!

A first real experience in a beautiful setting
Like most places we've stayed in the Novotel chain, this one is really first rate. It's immaculately clean, well appointed, and staffed by people who are uniformly pleasant easy to deal with. The buffet breakfasts are varied and of high quality. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating and offers a nice array of options. The outdoor portion is well shaded and on a terrace that looks out at the swimming pool and at a vast array of lovely greenery. The bar is well stocked and staffed from around 10 a.m. until 11 in the evening. We have stayed here three times before and will certainly do so again the next time our travels bring us anywhere near Valbonne.

Average and good hotel - with basic features
This hotel is generally acceptable and for £85 is not too bad. The hotel room is pretty basic (no atmosphere) but has a kettle and tea/coffee and also bottle of water complimentary. Novotel's use of brown carpet with some squares or patches makes it look not very clean. Although it has air circulation but no a/c. I tried to use a/c but had no luck. Staff - good and courteous - restaurant good and decent food. Nothing is excellent but good - hence the average mark.

Free parking and a warm welcome from staff at check in. Breakfast options was also very nice. However the hotel itself is a little outdated once you start heading up to your room. But if you are looking somewhere near Cannes (as Cannes hotels are expensive!) and you are not fussed too much about the room, this is a good option.

Nice hotel out of the way
The hotel is in an out of the way location. The pool was very clean. Outside terrace very nice. Children’s playground with tennis courts and table tennis . Reception area very child friendly with pool and football table. Books and games table. Our room was clean but decor very dated and smelt of smoke .

Good hotel in a quiet spot
Quiet and secluded spot in the heart of the busy Riviera. The building is a little dated but the location and service make up for this. Parking is easy, but a car is necessary.

Hotel could do with a revamp thought, dirty stained outdated carpet everywhere in the hotel(room included)outdated bathroom, dirty stained paint everywhere in the hotel. A little disappointing for a Novotel.

Good location for those with a car. Friendly staff. Good facilities. Good breakfast. Don't eat there in the evening. We tried twice: first time they only served paella so we went elsewhere. The next night was utter chaos with too few staff trying to serve a packed restaurant all with karaoke in the foreground. Good all arrived at the wrong times, cold and undercooked. Complained in the end for a full refund. Still a terrible evening so best focus on all the wonderful alternative restaurants in the area and just use the hotel as a base for the night.

avoid if your travelling with your family.
Whilst this Novotel isn't any different from any other Novotel we have stayed in, nice enough, staff helpful, rooms clean etc, etc..... We did to our complete horror experience the ugly side of human nature, after spending 10 years traveling through France with a mostly positive experience this was about to change at this Novotel. On one occasion a lady in the swimming pool said to my son (12) who was swimming and enjoying the facilities..." move boy" on a second occasion my 9 year old daughter was standing inline waiting to get an orange juice from the self service breakfast only to have a guy say " get out of my way" how can the French people be so rude and horrible to children yet say nothing when those same children are standing with their parents ...... We will not be staying here again.

Pleasant stay. However, we were booked into a smoking room despite our request for a non smoking room. They had tried to mask the smoke smell with air freshener but I requested to change rooms as I had 2 kids. I had to change rooms twice before they could accomodate my request. A/C was there but not brilliant, even at the lowest setting we had trouble getting a sweat free sleep. Restaurant breakfast and service can be a bit substandard during busy times.

Once again, I experienced the rule that when you book through Expedia, some hotels automatically direct you to the worst possible available room (closest to entrance, ground floor, noisiest, etc). Won't be back.

Great place!
We are from Canada and just arrived via Lyon, which wasn't a great experience. It was a nice change to spend some time at a friendly place, with a pool and restaurant. We have our dog along so the walking path out back was super convenient! We will stay there again for sure!

Nice getaway.
Rooms are larger than comparable priced hotels in nice or Cannes. Breakfast is great. Staff is friendly. Only one issue I had. I got hungry at 3am and tried calling room service but no one answered my calls there for an hour. Then slept hungry.

Nice quiet location for hotel. It's relatively isolated from other things to do so you definitely need a car to do anything here. Very friendly staff. Not a massive selection for breakfast but it was pretty nice. I would stay here again.

Novotel Sophia Antipolis was a great location for exploring the Cote d'Azur. Our young kids loved the pool and the room, although a bit cosy for 4 of us, functioned perfectly. Also has the best designed bathroom for a hotel in this class. Puts other 5 star hotels to shame. Chapeau Novotel, Chapeau!

The hotel is located well if you have a car. It is up to 20 min by car to all places. The main problem is the air conditioning in the room. The room is about 25deg. I prefer cooler. I complained at evening time. They said a technician will be a available only in the morning. He came the following day at noon. He claimed to fix it, but there was no change. They moved us a room, which was slightly better. Yet too hot in the room for me. I was dissapointed that they told me the technician solved it, when actually, there was no change.

Very relaxing location
For usually very crowded South of France, the hotel is a perfect place to relax. It is located in the middle of a large green area, but nearby many tourist attractions. The hotel has a good size swimming pool and a nice patio restaurant. Rooms are quite small with queen size bed and no balcony. Hotel requires renovation and facilities are old.
