This place used to be the place to go in Cannock twenty years ago when I lived nearby. Unfortunately the hotel is very outdated and tired and has not changed in that time. To sum up how bad this hotel now is, the bedroom carpet looked to be a plain fawn carpet. However it didnt take long to spot that all around the edge of the room the carpet is patterned and it's quite simply just that old, battered, used on and faded that most of the carpet no longer has a pattern ! That sums the whole place up looks okay around the edges but once you're in you realise how bad it is.

IT DOES MY NEEDS AS A HOTEL, THE STAFF ARE VERY GOOD, CAR PARKING IS NOT AN ISSUE, FOOD IS REASONABLY WELL PRICED AND TO A GOOD STANDARD, BAR STAFF VERY FREINDLY, WIFI IS A ISSUE YOU CAN STILL ONLY GET ACCESS TO THE WIFI FROM THE RECEPTION WHICH IS NOT IDEAL,OTHERWISE GOOD ENOUGH PLACE TO STAY

A good standard of hotel for a reasonable price.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: The staff were very helpful
Cons: The appearance of some of the decor that needed updating however appreciate that you can't shut the place down to replace it.
Location: Easy to commute to and nice rural setting back from the main road.
The matress was a bit too soft for me personally, and the hotel needed a lick of paint in the hallways and some of the decoration addressing however apart from that pleased with our stay.

Fantastic HotelPosted Jul 17, 2013
Pros: friendly staff and very comfortable beds.
Location: perfect for visiting Cannock. My mum lives there
Greeted with a friendly smile and very helpful lady. The room was lovely, and the whole hotel was gleaming, and was well looked after. We didn't have breakfast but had a lie in instead. The beds were very comfortable. Checkout was simple and very friendly. Will definitely stay again

in the general industrial area of cannockPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
have stayed here on a number of occasions, close to all that I need to do in the cannock area, rooms are comfortable and the food is good, no issues at all, only downside is that the WI-FI access is non existent in the rooms and you have to sit in the lobby to get access to WI-FI

PracticalPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel has no frills. It is just a practical reasonably priced place to stay. I states it has wifi - this is only available in the reception and lounge area only. There is no wifi or internet in the rooms

Nice hotel and staff.Posted Jul 4, 2013
Pros: Very Nice
Cons: Electrical problem in one room
Location: Easy to find from M6
Our room no. 120 was brilliant. We had a disabled person with us and was given a room where she had to go upstairs which she could not manage. the receptionist was very helpful and changed our rooms to the ground floor. unfortunately her room had a fault with the electrics when she used her bedside lamp the bathroom light and extractor fan came on in the bathroom and could not be turned off. We know that the receptionists desk closes at 11pm so they had to sleep with these on all night. We did report the fault in the morning. The receptionist apologised and said she would sort the problem out and thanked us for letting her know. Apart from that the rooms and staff were good.
