“Great but”

The Hotel was very nice and the staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. we had an issue with the bed - it wasn't very comfortable and the pillows didn't offer support. The pillow were replaced with something better but still not what we expected and the bed (while they did try to resolve the issue) never lived up to their hype of being adjustable for firmness. Overall the facility was convenient, clean and the staff accomodating.

“Maid service and maintenance could use improvement”

Hotel was quite nice. Service from front desk and breakfast buffet was good. Our housekeeper after our first day left something to be desired. I was surprised when we returned to our hotel early afternoon to find our room was not cleaned. We had to leave again around 2pm at which time we saw the housekeeper. She actually questioned whether we "wanted" our room cleaned. (We did not have a do not disturb sign on the door) Upon our return, beds were made, only some trash was emptied, and she left no towels. In the morning toilet was clogged. Called for maintenance at 7am. Maintenance never showed up by 9:30 when we checked out.

“Yea, verily, I recommend this hotel.”

I have used this hotel a couple of times on family trips. Both times I have been completely satisfied with the hotel and consider it my best option in the area. I have stayed a couple of other hotels nearby but like this one the best. It is a pretty short drive to a shopping mall, and if you want a different place to eat breakfast a Kings restaurant is not far away. It provides very quick access to Interstate 79. Accordingly, for these and other reasons, I do, hereby, with the power vested in me by Expedia, recommend this hotel to others.

Area recommendations

South Hills Village is the shopping mall. The city of Pittsburgh isn't too far away either.

“A terrific hotel”

This Hilton Garden Inn was everything that was advertised. The room was large and comfortable with desk, big bed, frig and microwave. It was clean and the housekeeping staff changed linens and kept the room clean. The indoor pool was quite nice. I also used the business center to print a document and also faxed a document from there, all complementary services. The breakfast service, included with my expedia deal, was really excellent. The wait staff and front desk staff were quite professional. All in all a very pleasant stay.

“Closest we could get to Heinz Field at last minute & it was great”

The hotel was very nice as expected. We tried to book closer to Heinz Field for the Steeler-Ravens game but being 3 days before the game it was impossible. Many of the hotels on Expedia recommended this Hilton Garden as an alternative. It has free wifi, was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

“My place to stay in South Pitt”

This is a very clean and quiet hotel. The employees are very nice and helpful. They have a great breakfast and a very good restaurant attached. Also, Subway is out the front door for a quick meal. I like to stay here when I am in South Pitt.
