“Not a bad Hotel, but truly needs improvement”
We (4 people: 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 newborn) went to Cape Charles to have some relaxing time off of the city buzz and based upon previous researchs you do get quietness indeed as the area is most visited by RV riders and occasional travelers who stop by to rest for the following day travel, so do not expect the conveniences (shops, restaurants etc) that a medium size city normally offers. You do get the feel of being in a country area, but with a few (really few) spots with sand and sea water. The resort does give you access to the beach and I need to point out one thing here: As the space is quite small, you have the impression that it is a private beach. Not only by the space but also they claim to be private (we were at the beach at the same time a thunderstorm was approaching, then I guy from the restaurant came to the sand and said the space was private and for security reason we would need to leave). When I actually heard that I imediatelly got really disappointed as by being private you would expect maintenance, which clearly wasn't happening as there was lots of sea remainings and other things in the sand, so if there is any care, it is very much limited. Hotel itself looks like it WAS a great place that bankrupt and now is being slowly brought to life. Linens/towels were decently clean. BTW, if you need cribs, be prepared to pay $10/night. Only knew about it at check-in. Only recommend this hotel bcause there's no other close to the beach.
