“Very, very satisfied!”

We just spent a night at the Colonial House during the off-season. We were visiting friends and this gave us an opportunity to try something different. We are so glad we did! It is truly emblematic of New England, yet it still has its own unique charm. The place seems to have such a rich history, is quiet, calming and enchanting. The rooms are nicely decorated and cozy. The food exceeded all our expectations. It was greatly superior to the food typically served at hotels. It is both traditional and contemporary with nice portions and great presentation. Breakfast is rich and abundant with a variety of home-made pastries and quiches. Yet, even better was the individual attention we received from all the staff. Next time we visit the Cape we know where to stay.

“OK for a night or two”

Our stay at the Colonial House Inn was OK for a night. Overall, the inn is in need of some updating and attention. The main house is a bit dark and musty, and the dining room a bit small. The continental breakfast was a little disappointing but adequate for a light breakfast. I just think the management should take a step back and see what changes/improvements are needed to bring the Colonial House in back up to it's days as a first rate bed & breakfast.

“"extremely unhappy patron"”

Judging from the 'room pictures' I was anticipating a cozy stay in a well maintained and upscale New England Inn. I was so dissappointed when I saw our room had a "sagging" old bed covered in old, mismatched sheets that I wouldn't let my dogs sleep on! I was told by the currator of the inn that all the rooms had fireplaces and queen sized beds. The bed in our room was a very uncomfortable double that had a foam topper thrown on top of the existing sagging mattress. My body was aching so badly I was forced to cut my stay short, drive home and get some sleep in my own bed. I was embarrassed to have my friend see such a dump of a room this place was! I would NEVER stay there again!

“Ruined Wedding Night - Colonial House Inn Restaurant & Conference Center”

When we checked out we could not find anyone to give the key to, we waited over 10 minutes while one person looked for the other just to hand the key over. I would never recommed this place to anyone other than a college kid looking to party.

“Not impressed”

This hotel needs help. It is a lovely structure with tons of potential, but looks like it hasn't been touched for decades (inside and out).
