“Not bad”
Front desk was great. Room clean, but needed some updates. Ok for the price
“Nice motel in The Cape.”
This was a wonderful place to stay in the Cape Cod area. Staff kept the place spotless where ever we went within the motel. The indoor pool was very relaxing and staff friendly. Would definitely go back when returning to the Cape.
“A good hotel”
A pleasant stay. A lot of tour buses stay here. Rooms were clean. Staff very welcoming.
“Clean, Comfortable and Nice Grounds”
While not the fanciest in terms of carpet, furniture, amenities - this hotel was clean, in a great location, had lovely well-maintained grounds, and served its purpose very well. Price was off-season reasonable.
“Good Deal with Kids”
We had a great time at the Mariner. Our seven year old son had a great time at both indoor and outdoor pools. Very convenient location for day trips to Hyannis and P-Town. Great mini golf in walking distance-Pirate's Cove. Playground at hotel was okay and they do have a small mini golf course. Maintenance people are very nice and take excellent care of pool and the grounds. Bed a little hard and small, but okay for us. Breakfast was just okay, mainly muffins. After July 1st, you had to pay for everything except coffee. Egg sandwiches, however, were also available. They have a big microwave in common/breakfast area, which you can use. They also have bbq grills. Some of the people at the desk were not as helpful. We wanted to extend our stay and were given one answer as to availability and one price by one person and then a slightly higher price by another person. Overall, it is an excellent deal for the money, especially with kids. Restaurant right next door. Easy drive to beach. Seagull beach was nice and just 15 dollars to park, you don't have to pay by the person.
“Don't Foerget Bathing Suit!”
Really nice indoor/outdoor pools.
“Hotel with Family Appeal”
Hotel is conducive to family comfort and needs. Staff is visible at all times and is receptive to your needs. Has areas for families to sit at as a group and converse or play cards, etc. Has beautiful heated indoor and outdoor pools. Plenty of poolside chairs/towels. Has playground and small minature golf areas for the kids. Has around the clock coffee/tea for the adults. What more can a family ask for!
“we will return!”
We loved this place. Not only is it centrally located to take part in the whole Cape Cod experience, but the Mariner was nice all on it's own. 24 hour coffee, indoor and outdoor pool...The only thing was the blow dryer was broken, but they promptly brought us another one that DID work. Also the fridge was not cold enough to keep food in, but had our cooler so it was OK. Very clean and nice!
“If luxury isn't a concern, this place is great.”
My family and I were in the area for a triathlon in Hyannis. We chose this hotel purely based on the price since we were traveling from NY and didn't plan to spend much time at the hotel itself. Check-in was quick and painless. The rooms on the ground floor have sliding doors to the parking lot which made moving in easy. There were lots of 30-40 something year old guys on a weekend golf excursion who were hanging out outside their doors drinking cold ones. They were extremely friendly. The hotel was filled with what seemed like a large, friendly, youthful AARP group. There were older people playing cards in the rec room and relaxing by the pool. They laughed and joked with each other which was actually pretty refreshing. The only thing wrong with the room was that the screen door was broken. We let them know and simply told us not to use it. That didn't really matter to us so it wasn't really a problem. The AC is cold and the heat it warm (accidentally turned on the heat). If you don't mind a modest place to stay, this place is fine. The location is kind of in no man's land between the center of two towns but the extra mile or 2 drive isn't bad.
“Not bad for a spring get away on Cape Cod”
Good location and accomodations for a shot stay. We stayed 3 nights at the end of April 2006, and went bike riding on Cape Cod Rail trail and did a whale watch from Provencetown. We used the indoor pool, and played mini-golf on their course for free. You can get a discount coupon good at several local eateries for each person, each night you stay.
