“Fun on Cap Cod”

Except for a dampness in the carpeting of the room, the stay was fine. Being right on the beach is a big plus.

“Nice staff, Great Location, Poor facility”

This hotel is definitely a lot worse for the wear. Was probably great in its heyday, but the reality is that we went out of our way to avoid staying in our unit for any time at all. The atmosphere of the unit, or lack thereof, was actually depressing.

“Location, Location, location”

A little older than some other places we've stayed, but the local of the private beach can't be matched for the price. Loft rooms are super if you have kids so they can watch their own TV. The pool and hot tub were open and clean. Maid service was very good and the grounds were well maintained. We would go to "Ocean Mist" again!

“Conventional cape family experience.”

Motel is in a good location, right on the beach. All units now seem to have small kitchens. Coffee and continental breakfast is no longer available. WiFi signal is weak, and it does not work in most rooms.

“BANG FOR YOUR BUCK”

You get your bang for your buck! My Husband took me here for my 25th birthday and I LOVED IT! We had the beach to ourselves (SEP2010) it was a warm day a bit chilly at night but nothing a blanket couldnt fix! It was so romantic, the rooms could use some updating but again for the price you can't beat it. The kitchen made it convinient too. We had dinner at the YARMOUTH HOUSE and it was the best lobsters we ever had, super juicy and the service was great!

“Low key”

Very nice down to earth hotel. Nice size good condition rooms The beds unfortunately too springy and the bedding not great quality and would pop right off the mattress while youre sleeping.

“Can't wait to return”

Overall we enjoyed the hotel. Maid service lacked a little (didn't give enough towels, forgot to leave toiletries, forgot to clean bathroom sink. Upon calling the front desk these items were delivered to us. With the children it was great being so close to the beach. Can't wait for our return visit in August.

After reading the reviews we weren't expecting much from the ocean mist but were pleasantly surprised. my wife and i went to cape cod to relax and that's exactly what we did. the hotel rooms were large (we got a loft) and clean. the beach was nice. maybe a little small but wasn't overcrowded. the hotel staff were all friendly. the location is great since your on the beach but a few blocks from the restaurants and shops. this is a perfect spot for a family or a couple. it is not a 4 star place but doesn't claim to be. it's a nice clean spot where you can relax and enjoy the beach and can walk to the main drag to enjoy the rest of the town. don't expect luxury here but this is a good spot to explore the whole cape. enjoy!!
