Nice enough but nothing special.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Close to the beach.
Cons: Serve breakfast on the very spacious porch. Change out the tub/showers to something that works.
This hotel looks better in photos than in person. The managers/owners were nice enough, the hotel is clean enough and the food is good enough, but there is nothing special about it. It is located at the edge of town about a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it inconvenient when going back and forth from beach to hotel to lunch to hotel, to dinner and back gain. They do have bikes available, which was a plus. The room was nicely appointed but the shower was impossible. It is a tub with a ring and curtains, but the water escapes all around and makes a mess of things. The hotel does provide tea and wine and cheese - and sometimes a BBQ, but we were never there at the times offered. They were not able to serve breakfast on the large porch for some reason, which is a shame. It is within steps of the beach, although far from restaurants on the beach.

very pleasant staff. well organized.Posted Sep 2, 2013
Cons: Mattress didn't seem big enough to be a queen size and was somewhat uneven. Other than that, no complaints. A first class place.
Have spent many years in Wildwood Crest and decided to try something a little different. Angel of the Sea was a delight. Close enough to beach, and just far enough from the downtown of Cape May, but just a five minute drive from everything. Enjoyed the history and the beach as well. B&B may have been a little expensive, but it was worth it. No complaints.

Nice B & B close to beach.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was great you had a choice of two different type breakfast. first serving was earlier enough so you can get out to an early tee time
Cons: They charged for ice, after all you are at the beach and you do need ice to go to beach.
Location: The wife and I like to walk but the B&B is just to far from the center of town to walk.
Nice B&B close to beach, they provided great beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The late afternoon wine and cheese party was great, had got to met other guests.

Charming Victorian experiencePosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: Location Charm Great breakfast! Quietness, free Internet, great advice for places to have dinner, the bicycles, very convenient to explore
Cons: The wine quality Understand the charming bathtub, but the shower curtain clinging to your skin was really annoying..
We were with friends visiting from abroad and it was a great pause in our busy schedules...We loved the charm of the hotel, from the lobby to the rooms. We did enjoy a lot the front porch at the Happy Hour time...

Lovely B&BPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location, convenient to everything. Rooms were small, a little too decorated and needed better pillows. Staff was friendly and helpful...did a nice job. Tea and pastries delicious. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. Enjoyed meeting and conversing with other guests. Met some very nice people. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Excellent ExperiencePosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Location, Staff
The layout was very nice, close to the beach and quiet. Staff was extremely attentive and went out of their way to show you where things were. Rooms were clean and wifi was included in the rooms which was a nice feature.

Close to the beach with pleasing amenities.Posted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: Room was small but very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Egg casseroles not seasoned and bacon not good. Other food was very good.
Location: Beach, Peter Shields Inn dining room.
This Victorian offers a full breakfast, a 1-1/2 hr. tea with sweets, followed by a wine and cheese time, free bikes, beach chairs, and beach blankets. The locations is wonderful - on the north end of Cape May very near the beach within walking and biking distance from downtown Cape May.

Romantic GetawayPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was our first time to Cape May and we LOVED the Angel by the Sea! The biggest "inconvenience" is that it is out of central town. We are from NYC, so the commute was something we were used to. It was about a 3 minute car ride, 5 minute trolley, 6 minute bike, and fifteen minute walk. However, that was also part of the charm, because you had a little seclusion from the hubbub. That being said, as a couple, we had the perfect trip to the Angel By The Sea! Just the perfect amount of family versus personal time.
