“Very Pleased”

We were very pleased and satsified with our stay at Congress Hall. It was close to the shops, the beach and all the wonderful old Victorian homes in Cape May. Our room was lovely and stocked with plenty of pillows, towels, etc. The front desk person was extremely helpful. She ordered a wheel chair that I could rent for my elderly mother, which was delivered within about an hour. Great stay!

“Great experience”

If you're looking for a hotel experience with the charm from the 1800's, this is a great place to stay. The room was extremely clean and fresh. The 'fun' part was that the room was undulating where it had settled over the past 100 years adding to the character of the hotel. The staff was courteous and efficient. There was twice a day room service/freshening.

“Loved this Hotel”

I loved this hotel. I arrived at the hotel and was promptly greeting by the valet to park my car. I checked in quickly and headed to my room. It was so clean and crisp looking. The bathroom was stocked with hair/skin products from Aveda(sp?). We wanted to spend some time in Cape May and we also headed to Atlantic City for dinner and a show and of course some gambling. It was about 45 mins drive very easy to get there and back. The Blue Pig Tavern (attached to the hotel) was DELICIOUS. The hotel is very very convenient. We walked to the main mall (1 block) where all the shops/restaurants are...walking distance to the Victorian houses 1 block to the beach. So once you park your car..you don't have to move it. But then again if you decide to drive somewhere they quickly bring you your car. I plan on returning to this hotel for sure.

“Looking forward to their "Blizzard of 2010 Reunion" that is being planned for next year at this tim”

This was a WONDERFUL experience in VERY trying circumstances for the hotel. A BLIZZARD hit this southern most tip of New Jersey on Friday night. All electricity in the hotel was lost...meaning the heat was gone too. (All electricity in Cape May county was lost!!!) The roads were closed so we could not leave the city of Cape May. The hotel had lights only in the hallways and lobby (powered from their generator). The kitchen was gas so they cooked up FREE breakfast buffets both Sat and Sun and provided meals at good prices for lunch and dinner. The manager was on hand and worked hard to make things as pleasant as possible. Staff (many of whom had to stay over in the hotel) were eager to help and make a terrible situation enjoyable. Fire places burned brightly until the snow covered the chimneys. Even then a festive atmosphere was present in the hotel. A rousing games of bingo were enjoyed as well as hot coffee and tea set out to help keep us warm. Bed were fitted with wonderful comforters so once in bed we were toastly warm. The hotel gave a special rate (without our asking) for those of us that had to stay beyond our planned time of departure. NO ONE traveled in or out of Cape May on Saturday our expected day of departure. Would I want that kind of time again? Probably not, but Congress Hall manger and staff made the Blizzard of 2010 in Cape May,NJ a time to fondly remember.

“Definately worth staying here!”

We loved this hotel! It is a little more than we usually spend on a weekend jaunt, but we splurged a little and it was 100% worth it. The hotel is just beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, not to mention beautiful! The Blue Pig Tavern in the hotel has very good food. We stayed here in December and are looking forward to returning in the spring/summer.

“Grand Hotel”

An enjoyable "step back into time". This Grand Dame is like stepping back in time to a more relaxed atmosphere. Accomadations were superb. Location is great. Right in the middle of everything.
