nice, pet friendly hotel close to the beach

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: everything, close to the beach and very clean!!
Location: boardwalk, resturants, beach all close by
the hotel was very nice when i checked in they actually showed me the room before i paid for anything, the room was on the second floor very cute studio room, when i expressed my concern about my small dog and the stairs, they made every effort to correct the problem, they were never notified by EXPEDIA , that i was bringing my small dog along with me. even though they confirmed with me that they did notify them about the dog. the hotel offered me a 1 bedroom room for the same price. very clean, kitchen with plates, full size coffee maker, fridge, and a living room and dining area. i would definetly stay there again.

Cape May/Wildwood

Posted May 16, 2014
Pros: it was okay, except the stairway to heaven....we were on the third floor! but the room was comfortable. NS room with two beds great! Staff upgraded us
Cons: sure it is good once the season opens so I really cannot compare.
Location: drove to Cape May, lovely area, want to go back and see the area better.
Late arrival 6:30 pm when we arrived there was no one at the hotel, had to call and wait for staff to arrive and check us in. The hotel was just getting ready for the season to open.

Comfortable & in the heart of Wildwood beach.

Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: Had everything I needed to get me settled.
Location: Heart of the beach & boardwalk. Close to Atilus Gym. Can rent bikes on the boardwalk. Close to boardwalk restaurants for breakfast, lunch. Shopping.
Had heat for when it turned cold, an extra blanket also. Being a suite it had kitchen / dinning amenities, including palmolive & dish towels. Able to walk across the street to the boardwalk. Easy access to Rio Grande & the Garden State Parkway. Manager & maintenance man was pleasant & helpful, understanding. Has laundry area on site, iron / ironing board.

I stayed here during the first weekend of February for the dog show. They are very dog friendly and conveniently located for a cheap price too! I hope to return for many years to come

Mediocre

The room was much smaller than it appeared on the website. It was close to the beach and boardwalk but was otherwise just OK.

No Ice

Posted Jul 18, 2013
Cons: Accessible ice machines on each floor. Include more than one roll of toilet paper. I went to my car to get some since no one was around.
Location: Surfing, biking, boardwalk with rides, souvenirs and rides for kids.
For the price each night, you could not get ice unless you went to office and paid $2/bag, I waited twenty minutes twice to buy some ice. I walked four blocks to get some ice. This should just be included considering the nightly rate.

Highly Recommended!

Pros: Cleanliness is, of course, all important and the Esplanade is you're-kidding-me clean. But, we also loved the very cute beach decor.
Location: The Esplanade is central to everything!
We just returned from a wonderful 3-night stay at the Esplanade. Our room was impressively clean, fresh and extremely well maintained. The staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating. Bed bugs? No sign of them whatsoever! So many of the small details provided evidence that the Esplanade cares about its guests - both the human and canine variety. We highly recommend the Esplanade! P.S. From Bruce to Denise & Ken: Woof!!!
