Great hotel...love the theme!

“Reasonable room for the price.”

The furnishing were very dated, though the lava lamp worked well as a night light. The room was clean. The desk was helpful. I didn't have breakfast though that was included. The location was excellent for my birding and photography. I was midway between Cape May and Avalon Seawatch. Since I was off season there wasn't much going on, but that was ok. If you are looking for a basic room, no frills, this is a great place to stay. During the summer, I suspect it is crazy here right at the start of the promenade in Wildwood.

“Felt lucky”

Haven't been to the Jersey shore in years & picked this motel online. Happy when we arrived to see that this motel was very close to the beach, in a nice area, good & convenient parking. The room was small but very appealing in design/decor. My only complaint is the bed was a double & not the best comfort-wise, but we are used to a Tempurpedic. Would choose this motel again.

“Retro Atmospherefurniture”

This hotel is right out of the 1950s. It has been updated but the furniture, colors and decor remains 1950s. We were quite satisfied with it.

“Nice hotel, but beware of off-season rennovations!”

There is a lot to like about this hotel: it has a lot of character, the rooms are fun and very vacation-esque, and they have great amenities (such as free bike rental, a game room, and a nicely heated pool/jacuzzi). The kitchenette was also a nice touch. And I'm sure most people will have positive things to say. However, they were performing yearly renovations on the property, and they gave us rooms immediately next to the area where construction workers were working on the hotel. There were less than 10 couples staying in the entire hotel (you could tell by the parking lot), and they put everyone in rooms near the construction work. And they were LOUD. They left the exterior doors open next to our room, and construction began on Monday morning at 6am sharp. We awoke at 6am to the smell of construction dust and the nearby sound of buzz saws. Management handled it rather poorly. They made no apology for it, other than to say that they perform renovations in the off-season, and would be closed starting next week until the start of next season. When I asked why we were given a room next to where the construction was being performed, the receptionist indicated that she wasn't sure why they did that...? I'd like to say that I would return to this hotel in the future, but there are quite a few other options in the area...!

“Very Nice Place-will definately be back!”

Staff was very friendly & helpful. I was upgraded to a suite- as they were doing some remodeling /painting - it was great! Loved the 50's style decor... Great kitchen area with nice size fridge, loved the lava lamp in the bedroom area & the pvt little deck overlooking the boardwalk. I was there in October- bet its real nice in the summer.... Will definitely be back as my nephew is stationed at Cape May .

We stayed in the Star Lux Airstreem Trailer - it way way more fun then a regular hotel room.

“Great location and great value for price”

I booked through Expedia.com just two days before going on our trip, the only room for four people this hotel had available was the airstream trailer which looked spacious enough but was instead very disappointing. I don't recommend any more than two people sleep in the airstream trailer and if you don't like to feel confined into a tight space I say book a regular room instead. We spent one night there and the next morning I expressed myself to the manager who thank god was very accommodating and professional and upgraded us to a queen bed suite with a sofa bed. Needless to say we were very comfortable in the suite which I think is perfect for a family of four. Thanks to the great staff and management our vacation was back on track.
