1/2 block from the boardwalkPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: 1/2 block from the boardwalk. Outdoor eating area is nice, and they provide BBQ grills.
Postion of hotel was wonderful; however, the hotel itself needs updating. Sheets were paper thin, hole in the bedspread. Painting needed. No phone in room, and no tissues. Definitely needs work. Electric circuits not hooked to the lights. Plenty of space in the suite, but disappointed with the furnishings.

Nice hotel close to the beach.Posted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: Closeness to the beach and boardwalk.
Cons: Elevator smell and exterior needs to be freshened up.
Location: We mostly hit the beach and boardwalk.
Room has clean and cozy. Pools were nice but small. One block from the boardwalk. Nothing fancy but very suitable to our needs.

Hotel was just ok.Posted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Close to the beach as was the Board walk
Cons: Don't know?
Location: Beach was close. And the board walk was close also but the main attractions was a long walk away.Would recomend the use of the Tram Car.
There was a hole in the wall. The room seem tired. The furniture was ok but very much used. The room had a closet where the air-conditioning unit for the floor was stored..

Pros: Close to beach
Location: Near beach. That's it.
Bathroom is small, carpets stained, bed covers old and stained. A hideaway for someone that s desperate, as we were, or looking to spend as little time in their room as possible.

Very close to the beach…Posted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: Proximity to beach and amenities.
Cons: Staff needs to be more friendly and helpful. Bigger beds and better TV and cable systems.
Very convenient location. Block away from the boardwalk. Staff could be more friendly, but it's ok I was forgetting we're still in New Jersey. Stayed at the family suite, beds were too small, and the sound of the furnace was annoying during the night. WiFi is not included and TVs are old and don't have good image. Living room TV never worked. Very nice family oriented neighborhood. Very clean and neat streets. I would definitely recommend restaurants located on West Rio Grande Av.

Hotel ItselfPosted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: The location to the beach and broadwalk; the grilling area and it's cental location to nice restaurants.
Cons: mattresses on the sleep sofa and beds; tv's
Location: go to the beach, boardwalk
I think the hotel has many great features. The location of the hotel to the beach, boardwalk and many restaurants were wonderful. I love the idea that they provided residents with an area to grill and hang out with friends and family. Th hotel needs a serious upgrade. The tv's need to be upgraded to larger sizes, the flooring was new, but clearly not installed properly. Each time we walked across a certain section, we almost tripped. The sleep sofa mattress was very uncomfortable. We had to use the sofa pillows to cushion the springs from puncturing us in our backs. The beds could use some decent mattresses and the hotel could offer some nice little toiletries in the bathroom.

Adequate Hotel, With A Terrible SofabedPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was well equiped, particularly considering it had a kitchen, as it included all the items we needed - utensils, cookware, plates, cups and mugs, and both soap for the dishwasher and dish-handwashing; even the bread-cutter knife was great - it cut our bread so well! Staff were amiable and attentive. However, the sofabed was terrible! We could feel every spring; it was as flat as a quilt folded twice; and it shaped like a concave!

Oh, the Many Uses of Duct TapePosted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
I never would have guessed that an expensive hotel would fall below the standard set by my previous maintenance horror story (which was a hotel in Hengshui City, China), but Surf Song succeeded. When you arrive, you are greeted by a tiny elevator with an unknown smell that never went away. Lovely room 321has a deadbolt that can't be unlocked from the outside and sticks so hard that you have to kick it open or lean in with your shoulder. Once inside, you discover that the floor, which is cheap glued-on fake hardwood, has buckled and bounced up and down when you walk on it, with someone have unsuccessfully tried to "fix" it using duct tape. The threshold to the kitchen also is broken, with someone also having put duct tape on it as well. The TV is laughably small -- smaller than my computer monitor at home. Don't look for a phone -- there isn't one. The AC was extrmely loud -- it woke us up every time it went on. And the beds were terrible -- there were only two pillows, forcing us to use the ones with the decorative covers, and who knows the last time they were washed. The beds also were covered with crinkly rubber, like you would put on a crib, so every time someone rolled over it was loud and woke everyone up. Finally, the hotel has six dumpsters immediately below the rooms, and they are emptied at 7:00 in the morning which, you guessed it, woke everyone up. Just bad all around.
